I don't like the FL (Jin Mi) in AOL to be honest, her character was so annoying, pathetic and lazy, given that she got her cultivation level handed to her on a silver platter! NGL, Jin Mi (FL to AOL) is the worse FL in my eyes.

I love And the Winner is Love, as an alternate setting where Run Yu can get a happy ending on his end, I'm just happy that LYX character can get a happy ending in this one. I have never watched Princess Silver before.

I am looking forward to his upcoming drama: Till the End of the Moon though.

Chinese is a complex language to learn especially when it comes to Simplified vs Traditional Chinese as well.

Everyone has someone that is a little special to them in that department, for you it just happens to be Leo Luo, which is nice, seeing I also love him as an actor as well, and is among ones that I hope will be protected from all those unnecessary toxics.

Title The Journey of Chong Zi Spoiler
Can someone explain to me Wang Yue's identity and if he ever liked Chong Zi?
Someone already asked this so I will reply to it here again for your convenience:

Wang Yue *SPOILERS* is the last surviving God of the GOD realm. His true identity is God of Moon, which was banished from the God Realm because it was said that he did something that not even Heavens or God can forgive.

Don't relate "Wang Yue" to his character portrayal in Song of the Moon(Drama) because God of Moon character was completely changed from his actual character in the Novel (Fly to the Moon).

Wang Yue have his own spinoff Novel where he is the main which takes place around 3-4 generations after "Chong Zi" Novel.

In the Novel "Wang Yue(or Yue for short)" is actually a Grey Character (Anti-Hero). I love him in his spinoff Novel: Fly to the Moon, where he's the ML and is paired with FL (Liu Shao) in the novel.

I also appreciate I get this version of "Wang Yue" in Journey of Chongzi because it is closer to his character portrayal in the Novel when compared to Song of the Moon.

If you are talking about romantically speaking then no, because I remember him saying in the drama that he don't carry such feelings anymore. So Chong Zi to him is someone who can help him accomplish his end goal plan.

Chinese. But it was a while back. I feel like reading it again (Fly to the Moon).

Haven't read "Chong Zi" completely yet..Only read a few chapters for that one. I did have the intention to finish it one day despite the spoilers I've read.

Song of the Moon(the drama) has two endings based on the choices by Liu Shao. The first ending ties in similar to the Novel ending but instead of having the final episode wrap up with him finding Liu Shao again and then them getting their happy ending , they wasted one episode in that final episode which made no sense. How I feel about SOTM ending I already posted a review in here after the drama ended. It is confusing and poor writing because so many questions I want to ask but in the end I was left with an unsatisfying ending 😖😭😭😭

The Novel was so much better in terms of ending when compared to SOTM

Leo Luo (Yunxi) is also my favourite as well and I watched all of AOL because he became my favourite character . I am looking forward to his upcoming drama call "Till the end of the Moon" and another one "Immortality" if they ever release the latter 😅😅

As for Yukee the actress who played Xue Zhi in And the winner is love, yeah I can see where you're coming from. Since I felt that way about her crying scenes as well. She's not the best to convince me to cry hahaha but I dont mind her.

I used to see it like you do as well and wish it was included in the actual last episode instead.

But now if they filmed it they intend to share it with the watchers or audience but I am really starting to think that due to the stict censorship guidelines they have to opt it out or something. I am guessing it's like this because we haven't got a decent fully satisfying ending in these type of genre anymore like how we used to..

Episode 41 ending is still the true happy ending because that's similarly what happened in the Novel.

For SOTM, too bad it didn't follow through but instead wasted one episode IMO...

I don't have a problem with that actress in And the Winner is Love. Did you know she's the same actress who plays ad the 2nd FL in AOL? She was the female in the second couple lol.

I watched And the winner is Love to soothe my heart because Run Yu was so mistreated.

Good thing you didn't finish AOL. Although I finished AOL but in the end, I hated that drama(AOL)

You shouldn't let rating determine the drama as the overall. Everyone is different in liking or accepting something.
I also love Discovery of the Romance as well. I see that it has a nice story, and I enjoyed it on my end.

Some drama's in MDL standards that is rated 8+ and even 9+, I couldn't get into it, or even end up hating and disliking some of them, so yeah, in the end, it does show everyone have different tastes.

Enjoy Chong Zi, for me, I personally really liked it, despite many in here, don't really feel the same.

Well, some people do still have multiple accounts, just to rate down a drama, for the sake of spreading negativity even before the drama ends.

That's why I don't really trust ratings in sites anymore lmao.

I just watch and see for myself whether it's that bad as some people make it out to be, bad ratings tends to raise my curiosity to check out the drama more.

Yeah, I know how you feel that after many sufferings and crying, you just want a fully satisfying happy ending and those characters you hate get the punishment they deserve. I feel the same

For me, an ending needs to be a good and happy ending because ending is a conclusion to the entire story wrap up, and it shouldn't leave viewers with an unsatisfying open ending and or one that doesn't make sense.

Due to the Episode 41 Special episode, I am happy with The Journey of Congzi ending.

As far as looking at nowaday dramas, I seem to lost hope in getting a fully satisfying one like Love and Redemption... So I don't put my hopes up that high anymore... My standard is now like the Episode 41 epilogue for Journey of Congzi, both are alive, happy and they interact with each other before the ending, that's all I ask for.

I am very appreciative of them in putting in that flashback scene in just before they end the drama, because it's like a Journey of all their hardships before they can finally be together in the end. I was teary in those scenes, especially the one in the Ice Prison, when Yin Fan was looking at Chong Zi when she's in her deep sleep, the way he looks at her, before he lean in and kiss her forehead was filled with emotion for me.

Song of the Moon.... I used to like that drama as a Spinoff from the Novel but in terms of adaptation goes, it is not even 1% faithful to the Novel. I wasn't happy with SOTM Ending in the drama, I still think they wasted one episode doing the unneccessary instead of staying faithful to the Novel ending, but in drama side of things, I will always love the Main Pairing in that one.

Ashes of Love... I am not a fan of that drama, my favourite character (Run Yu) was so mistreated, so I hated the writers for that. Second actor you mean Luo Yunxi who plays as Run Yu in Ashes of Love? Instead of watching that, I recommend And the Winner is Love, at least what I couldn't get i.e. him being happy in AOL, he can it in his other drama And the Winner is Love 😅😅

I wish we had proper endings like back then , e.g. of a fully satisfying happy ending for me was Love and Redemption.

But for this drama I'm still glad they put in the epilogue for us to give us this.

I think the fact they have to cut it as a special episode away from the 40 episodes total... Could be due to censorship...

I know SOTM have one too but they never released it 😭😭😭 this is why I will never watch dramas from IQIYI again!

"He is neither immortal nor devil" <- That revelation there already gave the answer away, since he's a God XD.

Did you watch the Epilogue (Episode 41)? I just don't want you to miss out if you haven't already watch it. It's a happy ending for Yin Fan and Chong Zi (after that time-skip)

What I got out of that battle in the drama perspective is that, in order for him to master the Heart Mirror Spell…
IKR. No matter how many times I've watched that scene it made me cry. It's in a good way, because, I personally love the implied message, that unlike in her first life, where Yin Fan chose Nanhua and kill Chongzi from the Evil Energy, this time, despite she's already Demon Zi and became the Matyre of the Sword, he COULDN'T bring himself to repeat the one thing he regretted back then. I love what it showed me in that scene.

If it would have ended like that in Episode 40, I wouldn't have liked the ending, but I got the Epilogue in Episode 41 for their ending, and all the flashbacks they put in, and me seeing both Yin Fan and Chongzi is alive, and have a physical body again, is a happy ending already for me.

Title The Journey of Chong Zi Spoiler
As far as Final Battle goes, in a drama perspective this is how I understood it:
What I got out of that battle in the drama perspective is that, in order for him to master the Heart Mirror Spell final stage, is for Yin Fan to let go of his love for Chong Zi(to be indifferent), but Yin Fan cannot bring himself to do that, he wanted to hold onto his love for her, so he chose the other way, which is to sacrifice himself to master that technique and save Chongzi instead, because he couldn't bring himself to kill her again the second time. HE COULDN'T KILL HER. I am glad they showed me this, because if he did kill her again the second time, wouldn't fans be more upset because it's like back to square 1 in Chong Zi first life. So for me personally I saw that more like a development AND a contrast to how back then he had no choice but to kill her with his sword to protect Nanhua but this time, he chose to do the opposite, to protect and save her from being the matyre to the sword forever.

I may be a minority but that part when it revealed that it was an act from Yin Fan when he put his sword in reverse to have Chong Zi kill him(she was going all out), and when Yin Fan told Chong Zi to not be afraid and that it's now over. For me personally I did cry in that scene because I love how they play out their emotions... She is saved from Ni Lun Sword because she was cleansed by Heart Mirror spell. That did came at the expense of Yin Fan death though, but I did love the message implied behind what happened and that (1) Yin Fan would rather die than to let go of his love for her... (2) He couldn't bring himself to kill her again the second time.

It was Chong Zi choice in the end to want to go into the sword and them being a spirit together, because she couldn't live in a world without him in it. Yin Fan would do the same too if the situation was reverse since he made it clear to the immortals when he blasted his Min Shixiong that if Chong Zi is dead, he won't live on either... So to me it's just the reverse scenario of that scene from what Chong Zi showed me when she went into the sword as well.

I know this was completely changed in the Novel, and I get why Novel Fans is upset of this change if they like that part in the Novel better, but I'm just here to shed some light to that part, in a Drama perspective. Like I said, I am a minority in here.

I respect if those feels differently or like the Novel better, because while I cannot completely relate for Journey of Chongzi, I can when it comes to Song of the Moon...

P.S: Journey of Chongzi does NOT end in episode 40, YOU NEED to watch EPISODE 41 for the EPILOGUE HAPPY END.

You need to watch this in WeTv App(which at this stage it for Express Viewers only).
