I have to say I felt more emotional on the scene in ep 39 when Liu Shao sacrificed herself and Luo Ge crying scene than compared to the one in episode 40, when Luo Ge "dies"... The former is more emotional to me to be honest. I can watch that scene over and over again...
Something about Zhang Binbin acting out these emotional crying scenes that made it look so real that it's hard not go like him when he portray such scenes!! (Not being a sadist on you ZBB, just saying you did an amazing job in your role when you played as Luo Ge, Lu Li, Although I never seen God of Moon and Dark God of Moon cry but when they act out their pain , it's just so on spot!
So no matter what, ZBB I am so glad you played as the ML in this drama because you made me appreciate you to a whole new level (when compared to when I first saw you in TMOPB), you brought the character to life! And I will always remember you as my favourite ML Luo Ge(/Lu Li).
I also love you as God of Moon too! Even when there's not much scene of your back story!
Dark God of Moon, I won't say I am a fan of the evil spirit but damn you have to have ZBB face lol so that along with ZBB great acting skills in portraying such a complex character of switching between good and evil (Dark God of Moon), you did great as an evil character! So you definitely made the character more interesting to me!

Not the one that was posted in the photo section, that was cut. There were some BTS where when ML was Lu Li, in the BTS scene they were acting out a scene where they kissed, but that was never included in the drama.
If you watched some of those BTS, unless you're skipping the main pairing scenes, then you would know there are cut scenes on them.
As for pairing wise goes, I never once see the Main pairing as boring. As a matter of fact, I see them having a strong chemistry and how much they actually love each other, but more so in a healthy way where they support each other and trust each other. But each to their own opinion.
So there appears to be a sad (open ending), a happy ending and a true ending. For me I am going with the true ending that was deleted...
But if you ask me between the two ending between episode 39 and 40, honestly in terms of writing consistency, episode 39 ending follows the novel ending where FL sacrifice herself and ML was trying to find her again except the novel extra we got conclusion he was able to find her again(finally). So they got their happy ending eventually. I am not someone who is into sad endings for my favourite pairing but I understood what happened in episode 39 ending over episode 40 ending which made me doubt and doubting is not a feeling I enjoy after finishing the story. Now IF they did NOT delete that one scene I'm still pissed about (until they give us a bonus of that scene), I can't say I like how episode 40 ended ... To me I will take it that is real and LG did come back to her..
Episode 39 at least LS also become a supreme god in the end so I like that better even if she have to sacrifice herself.

Overall I enjoyed the drama and I love the main pairing the most. I will say that Vin Zhang (Zhang Binbin) played his roles really well and proved his acting abilities to me and I will always remember him through this drama! I also love that they gave us a wedding scene in episode 40 and a kiss between them even when that then turns into angst afterwards
But on my end I will not be watching another drama from IQIYI anymore if what I heard is true...

Well I will say that when Luo Ning came out to block the attack from Luo Ge when he was going to kill A Fu, I didnt like her for protecting A Fu again.. once was enough.
But seeing how LN protected A Fu again I can see why Luo Ge did what he did in the end from what I said.
I do believe that A Fu doesn't deserve people keep protecting him when he committed these crimes and sins... And he should he punish for this, but it is how it is..
