Should I be happy that BF was literally non existent in the episode 39 finale lol saves me the time from fast forwarding her delusional scenes 😅😅

Well watching them (those scenes that I said I am fast forwarding ), once was enough lol no need to watch it again the second time on my end 😅😅

But do you blame LG for feeling this way about A Fu?

Like you keep seeing this in AF perspectives and understanding his situation..

The thing is it is rather ironic that A Fu said that he wanted LG to accept him so they will not be against their marriage but what decent things has A Fu did to show that he is worthy of LG trust ? All this time he has been plotting to hurt LG and LS and innocent people.

It isn't that LG doesn't give AF chances but AF has done nothing that is worthy to show that he is a good person. To me , LG is NOT bias or unreasonable... When he said he wanted LN to marry someone she loves, I trust that he genuinely meant it.

LG loves his sister dearly, and the only thing holding him back from trusting AF is actually understandable and relatable why he doesn't trust AF since he knows Ze Shui tragic past .... He didn't want their tragedy to happen again.

Plus, if AF shows that he is someone decent like his brother HN than I am sure that LG wouldn't reject LN in marrying him because he knows LN loves AF. Sure it will take time for him to accept that but LG was never unreasonable to me. He knows right from wrong, and that's one of his character appeals.

LG cares for his sister well-being the most, and if it's something LN really wanted and insisted , LG will in the end respect LN wish if she wants to marry AF because he just wants LN to marry someone she loves..Just like how he doesn't accept LN marriage with HN because of breaking the curse, so there's no love between them but in the end, he didn't lock his sister up and respected his sister wish even when he clearly stated that he didn't want her to marry because he can feel something bad will happen to her... And you know what he respected LN wish in the end instead of being selfish about it.

At the end of the day, the one who destroyed their chance of being together isn't Luo Ge, it's A Fu, since he repeatedly try to hurt those LN cares for. Luo Ge already showed mercy to him because of LN and HN.

I am also rewatching it again on my end on some of my favourite scenes.

But for me, I am fast forwarding all the AF x LN, AF and BF plotting , and AF scenes 😅

ZBB earned my love and respect in playing four different characters in this drama.❤️❤️

I know XD I actually ship them in Love O2O and I was happy that it was implied they are together. I love how he silently loves him but you can see he was jealous as well, so it's definitely a cute ship (I don't mind BL anyways, so I was shipping them on my end!).

You know funny thing was, I also love episode 39 too, because it was a heartfelt episode and I cried when Luo Ge was crying in losing Liu Shao, I thought that when episode 39 ended, I was like "Okay, we got one more episode to wrap things up, so it's not so bad", and I was expecting a continuation to episode 39 in episode 40, but then I got so confused as to what is going on, and then the only way it will make sense to me was a two part ending.

I much rather they wrap things up in episode 40 following the ending in episode 39, which follows more closely to the novel, where it shows us how Luo Ge will find Liu Shao again, even when it will take him a lot of efforts and long time. That last episode 40 could be used to wrap up loose ends and not have an alternate ending IMO. It's just so sad that the direction went like this, while there are scenes I do like in episode 40 (like a canon wedding and another kiss between Luo Ge and Liu Shao, He Na is still alive, and the battle was not anti-climatic), but still episode 40 felt like a lot of things happening at once and it just felt like it's so rushed...

Episode 39 - I don't have doubts that Luo Ge will find Liu Shao again
Episode 40.... Raised more questions for me, which I personally didn't like... So I do think the writers wasted one episode in doing two endings instead of sticking to one and wrapping it up with the final episode IMO...

Hmm. I have watched Love O2O too, but I don't remember his character in there. Oh wait.... After looking at the list and the character he acted in LOL, I remember LOL "K.O" (that's an implied gay ship, right?) I remember now hahaha.

I remember I recognized him when I was watching Love O2O but it's been a while that I don't remember his character in there after I finish that drama. But yeah, now that the memories came back I remember I did like him in Love O2O too.

Yeah, I know I recognized Chen Yuqi on my end even for those few scenes.

I know ZBB acted in TMOPB like I said, I remember him in that drama. Even when I wasn't a fan of him back then, but I still remember him after all these years. Personally for me, I definitely love his role in this drama better!

Haters side of things, I hate those type of haters the most. Humiliate just to bring down on others to make their idol look better. Annoying

They could have kept episode 39 ending and in episode 40 wrap up the loose ends and have LG find LS again at least that ties into the novel more because in the novel extras he was able reunite with her even when it was pointed out it was not easy and he spent a lot of time trying to find her again.

Episode 40 has better fight scenes yeah, and I love that we get a canon wedding for Luo Ge and Liu Shao and they have another kiss. And HN is alive!! But it felt like so many things happening at the same time in episode 40 that it felt rushed.

They really wasted one episode to do two different endings. So technically when we were at episode 38, we only got 1 more episodes not 2 😭😭

One thing I do love in episode 39 is Luo Ge is in his dark costume but he's in control instead of the evil spirit. I actually like when he's in control lol

I will put my perspective out there why I think he's stupid for giving her Phoenix Tears

It's stupid because he didn't trust and doubted LN love for him. Did he not trust that LN love him at all or did he have so little faith in her love for him after what they did. Is LN someone to him that will bed someone she doesn't love? They did slept together after all...

That's an insult to LN character and her strong love for him imo

He gave it to her against her own will that is not something I can ever accept or love.

I didn't like that LS gave it to LG against his will too but that outcome worked out for the best as it helped him got rid of the soul devouring spell so I can let that slide.

LG did give LS Phoenix tears too but what made him better here is that at least he explained what it actually does and the effects of it. He gave LS a choice on his end and didn't forced her to drink it.

But what AF did when he gave it to her came from his doubts in LN character and an insult to her character after they slept together. If he trusted her love in him at all..Even if it's just a little he wouldn't have gave her Phoenix tears against her will because he knew what it does.

In the end it's stupid because he ended up punishing himself because the one he erased was LN love for him (AF) not HN or LG(her brother).

To be honest I made another post in here about how I feel about the two alternate endings.

I actually don't mind the ending scene in episode 39 and they have episode 40 wrap up to Luo Ge finding LS again . At least that way it will be similar and tied into the novel.

I know there are scenes that was better in episode 40 like canon wedding between LG and LS and He Na is alive. So those were nice and the battle didn't feel anti climatic but in the overall the ending scene to episode 39 along with emotional scenes where LG was grieving over the death of LS, that was something so powerful to me that I really love.

When I watched episode 39 I thought okay so we have one episode to wrap up so it's not so bad BUT when I watched episode 40 I was confused with what's going on and why is it like that. Then I realized it was two alternate endings...

I just wish they handled the ending better. Stick to one and have 1 final episode 40 to wrap up loose ends...

I hated the writers for how messy it is . Episode 40 is just so many things happening at once that made it all felt so rushed in the end so that leads to more questions that I don't really like. Since the ending should be a conclusion and not leading viewers to question or ask more questions...

For me, I will always love LG, he is my favorite character. I do love Lu Li too but I love LG better since he's cooler and LG when he's a mix of LL personality with LG makes me love him more for it.
The beginning was good and then when the start of the immortal arc was done so well but when they forcefully have scenes on the 2nd pairing and decrease the screentime of the main pairing is when this drama kind of went downhill for me but even so I never feel bored just seeing scenes of LG and LS since they what got me to the end. As well as LG character too. I love HN as well and I also love the friendship between LG and HN on my end.

This makes me dislike the 2nd pairing and their attempts failed to make me like the 2nd pairing.

I think for that I might just wait for like 20 episodes to air first lol since waiting for the episodes is painful when I want to watch the next episode right away. That's how I feel for SOTM though so no more endless nights and waiting for me since this drama is over.

I agree it's not top tier but to me it's one of the best to make me love it this much although I still wish they didn't delete the scenes I want to see... The actors did their best to play those scenes and it's just disappointing coming from whoever deleted those scenes...

I'm waiting for a few actually.

I'm just saying that for me I love how LG expressed his grief in losing LS more, as it felt so emotional to me that made me cry in episode 39

There are also some parts I like in episode 39 too like LS finally become a Supreme God on her end.

I don't know it just felt like too many things happening in episode 40 at the same time and it gives off a rushed feeling in that ending.

If there's a definition of a healthy relationship which has trusts and respect for each other to me that's the main pairing in this drama (Luo Ge x Liu Shao)

For LN and AF, in the overall I see them as unhealthy for the most duration of the story from AF side . But in the end it felt like the writers just want to force it in our face to accept them, and with how fans keep trying to say they are the "better" pair from their preference which is their preference, but what annoys me are those in here who trash the main pairing just to make their AF and LN pairing looks great! What they are doing is just making me look at their pair with 😑😑

At the end of the day we all have our preferences on which pairing is better.. for me no matter what they say I love the main pairing Luo Ge x Liu Shao the best because they support, protect and trust each other. They have a healthy relationship. That is refreshing to see that in a pairing IMO.

I absolutely adore LAR, even when it is so heartbreaking and I feel for Si Feng on my end!!!
