You might as well just watch both since both ending have its own charm.

Episode 40 is the Happy ending.

But no need to skip episode 39 since that ending felt more heartfelt to me with emotions...

There's a much better ending then that episode 40 ending where they filmed it but was not included in the aired drama for Luo Ge and Liu Shao.

Episode 39 battle felt anti climatic and just ended like that which I didn't like.

The only good part in the episode 39 ending was that it was sad but it was touching and I much rather see Luo Ge is alive since him dying just hurts me the most. I just imagine that Luo Ge will be able to find LS again at the end.

If episode 40 end with that scene I wanted to see where it shows LG did came back to her and they hugged and he kiss her forehead I would have like the episode 40 ending at least it didn't leave room for me to doubt. I don't like doubting something. I hate that feeling and all I ask for is an ending that can make sense!

But LG came back.... And LS won't be with HN since she only loves LG....

I cried when Luo Ge "died" !!! 😭😭

That's why I said that the two episodes was wasted to do a two part ending. They could have extended the episode 40 to one hour or something so at least we may get what we want. I was watching the timer episode drawing to an end and I was really scared that I don't get that ending Clip that I want and I was right 😭😭💔💔

In the meantime I will just rewatch that BTS over and over again and treat that as the ending instead.

I also hope we will get it one day. That scene in action.

They did if for Miss the Dragon like a special clip after the ending so I'm hoping real hard here!!! I just want to see that scene in action tbh.

The actors who watched the drama will probably be like "wait that's not the correct ending" since they know they filmed an extended scene but it was not included(it's kinda funny thinking about it)...

You know to make me feel better I am going back to that bts Clip to rewatch again and again.

I also can't erase episode 39 too since there are scenes in there that I love.... But I just can't get my mind to talk about the overall scenes since my mind can't get over the ending..😅

I still love SOTM but I am still annoyed they cut out some of the scenes I want to see...

That's what I'm asking for like a special extended Clip or something. Like episode 40.2 or something.

Since they clearly filmed it. Why let it go to waste?

This scene in that bts is 100 times better than the one we were given imo

All I asked for the ending I wanted for LG and LS is that cut scene that was filmed but never got aired....

But I think he's back... I have to take it like that otherwise I can never get over this 💔💔

He promised her he will come back... So that part at the end of episode 40 is LG and he's back.. I just wish it was done in a more solid without doubts kind of way......... I'm just going to go to that BTS and watch it over and over and over again and take that as the ending instead...

From the BTS I've seen they really did felt like it's cut a lot and this is what it hurts me... Because some of those scenes was nice...

I hope he's real but I hate that it leaves room for us to doubt this is what I don't like...

I'm really sad right now... but I'll take it that he's real, since I wanted a HE for LG and LS

I wanted to write a coherent review to be honest but my mind is a mess right now....

I still think they wasted two episode just to do a two part ending. They could have stick to the episode 40 ending and at least give some time to wrap things up in a coherent manner.. I am still pissed and annoyed that they didn't included the actual scene to show LG return since in the photos in here it showed they filmed it and this BTS shows it too so I was waiting for this scene and never got it ...

Can they please release that deleted scene for me like an episode 40.2 or something.... I just want to see that scene in action.. even if it's just a 3 minute clip...

Here Liu Shao said to Luo Ge where he's been since she waited a long time for him to come back... But it was not included 😭😭

I think the ending we saw is he's back, but he only wear that costume because this is like what he wears when he goes to the mortal realm... I don't like this feeling of surreal though... I wanted a more solid ending even if it's like ALP a last minute one, but at least that make sense, whereas this one I am not sure if he really come back or not....

I was also confused like what the heck.... I thought the battle in episode 39 was anti climatic... But then the start of episode 40 I try to understand what exactly happened and then the only way it will make sense is it's a two part ending...

Episode 40 did Luo Ge really came back or is it a dream....? And I'm still pissed they would cut out that scene(since I saw that in the BTS they were filming it) where LS waited for Luo Ge to come back and he did in the end and then they hug and he kissed her on the forehead that would have been a better ending... I can't get my minds straight right now but I am glad to see He Na is alive in episode 40!!! But please anyone just shed some light that is Luo Ge at the end and he did come back omg... It felt so surreal and I don't like that feeling!!! 😭😭

Watching that trailer once was hard enough I can't watch it a second time. I think I will need tissues since I will cry...
I also don't want He Na to die... But I guess we will have to wait and see 😢
