How I understood the scene was the Soul Devouring curse is now gone. Watch the scene closely again, when the Phoenix…
I hope I am too, because I have watched that scene so many times and it does actually make sense looking at the context.

I guess we will see when we watch on. I will be glad that we won't see that soul devouring spell again. Since to me that's gone! But you can go and watch the trailer to ep 27 if you have not seen it yet.

Seems like some people is not getting the context of what happened in that scene so I will put this out there on how I understood that scene.

When the Phoenix Tears was taking effect to do its job, the Soul Devouring curse was activating at the same time, so this implies that these two spells was having an internal conflict / battle.

We also see that the Soul Devouring curse went out of Luo Ge's body, at that time the Phoenix tears spell was going to do it's job by erasing Luo Ge's memories and his love for Liu Shao, this was when Luo Ge made a guess that it's his chance to destroy the Soul Devouring Spell. At the same time he didn't want to forget his love and the memories he have with Liu Shao, so he forced the Soul Devouring spell back into his body and when the images of Liu Shao came back he knew he was right, but it was said that the Soul Devouring spell was afraid of the Pheonix tears spell so he didn't want to stay in Luo Ge's body, but Luo Ge just keep pushing it back into him for the two purposes: 1. So the Phoenix tears spell won't take effect because of the effect of the Soul Devouring spell), and 2. Luo Ge is using this opportunity to have these two spells fight each other and in the end when you hear that explosion (bright light), it signified that the two spell which was having an internal conflict/battle is now gone....

So the key at the end to all this to destroy the Soul Devouring spell was Phoenix Tear.

When the two spells activate at the same time and Luo Ge trapped Soul Devouring spell inside his body even when it was said the Soul Devouring spell is afraid of the Phoenix tear spell, so it tries to escape, but Luo Ge trapped it in so these two spell repel each other where , Phoenix tear cannot completely activate because of the presence of Soul devouring spell. In the end of this whole internal battle / conflict the two spell has negated each other and is now gone.

So Luo Ge trial is completed successfully because his aim to do this trial was to get rid of the Soul Devouring spell. Not because he want to forget about his love for Liu Shao when he decided to do this trial. When he fell into the water Luo Ge did said and questioned why God of Moon will create such a spell to forbid people to fall in love....So he was trying to rid that spell since it's been affecting and tormenting him.

Luo Ge still has the soul devouring curse, back to square one. He went to the mortal realm again for nothing?????????…

So Luo Ge trial is completed successfully because his aim to do this trial was to get rid of the Soul Devouring spell. In the end, this was accomplished so he return back being immortal Luo Ge, stronger than be was before he went to this second trial.

So the key at the end to all this to destroy the Soul Devouring spell was Phoenix Tear.

When the two spells activate at the same time and Luo Ge trapped Soul Devouring spell inside his body even when it was said the Soul Devouring spell is afraid of the Phoenix tear spell, so it tries to escape, but Luo Ge trapped them in so these two spell repel each other where , Phoenix tear cannot completely activate because of the presence of Soul devouring spell. In the end of this whole internal battle / conflict the two spell has negated each other and is now gone.

So it's not back to square one, he accomplished what he wanted to do in the tribulation and returned as Luo Ge, stronger than before.

Yeah I saw that cut too and I was like ???
Lolll 😂 I won't swoon over another CP, since my heart can only ship Luo Ge and Liu Shao.

But I think seeing He Na hug her would be nice coming from him caring about her too.

Then stop watching it if you don't like or get the story and what's happening.
Getting mad at some parts is natural since this can happen in all dramas, not just this one.

And apologies accepted.

Well if that's how you want to go about swearing at someone for not having the same opinion as you then sure , whatever, continue to act immaturely and uncivilized.

You said you are so mad to watch this show and dont know why you watch it, then just stop watching something that you're so mad about. It's that simple lol

I think he forced it back into him because these two powers was having an internal battle and it was shown that…
It was stated that was the reason

Personally.... I'm addicted. I want to watch every episodes without having to wait for it. The whole waiting is…
Why do you want to punish Liu Shao? What did she do to make you want to punish her?

As for explanation you should also try to pay attention to the subtleties there.

Most of us agree that ep 26 was so emotional.. but they cut He Na scenes.. we didn't get the hug as seen in poster…
Yeah I saw that cut too and I was like ???

I know the writers didn’t prolong the memory loss of Luo Ge. But it is too far fetched that in after 5 minutes…
I don't like the unnecessary drag so for me I personally don't mind since I can understand why it played out that way with those scenes portrayed in ep 25 and 26.

Although if you noticed that before he drank the wine that has the Phoenix tear in it , he stopped as if he sensed a familiarity scent in that drink and he was shocked and it felt like he might have remembered something then that's why he said what he said before he stood up and left.

The purpose he went on this tribulation appears to rid the curse of soul devouring spell and when the Phoenix tear activated these two spells was having an internal battle so when you see the glow, he was returning to his immortal status. Meaning that he had accomplished his trial and purpose. This is how I see it on my end .

A Fu and Luo Ning giving off LBFAD vibes in Ep 25. Their storyline is getting more interesting than the leads!
A Fu and Luo Ning does not remind me of LBFAD since A Fu betrayed and used Luo Ning to hurt those she cared for and she didn't care about what she really wants. Judging by the trailer to the next two episodes. I didn't like what I saw and how selfish he was .

I know what you mean!! He's really great in acting those painful scenes and his eyes (micro expressions) speaks alot!! 😭 I came to really appreciate him in this drama! ❤️💙

Does anyone know the name of the bgm in ep 26 where both these spells of soul devouring spell and Phoenix tear are having an internal battle? I love that bgm and have heard it a couple of times in this now. Would really love to save that song and listen to it on my end!

Somethin in my mind... scene where lu li smell the wine before drink it.. like he recognize the phoenixes tear..…
Oh yeah I noticed that too... And I liked that it showed me that. I think he either remember his immortal self as Luo Ge at that moment or he feels a sense of familiarity towards that scent since he knows about it.

It was cruel that Liu Shao gave that to him without giving him that choice to choose. At least Luo Ge gave Liu Shao a choice back then and told her what it does. But I forgive Liu Shao since it worked out for the best in the end. But how he asked her to give him a reason and that's not what he wanted to hear and it should be a choice and not be forced upon him was so heartbreaking. But I really love how he doesn't want to forget about her or his love for her not even in death.

I felt bad for misunderstanding Luo Ge's intention to take this trial and that's not to forget about his love/feelings but to rid the soul devouring curse that was placed on him so I hope my guess on what I saw and gathered in this episode is correct and that is soul devouring spell is gone.

Episode 25 & 26

I don't know how to feel about ep 25, but I do like how it shows Luo Ge true feelings , where we see the side to him that only just wants to be with her without being tied down to his responsibilities, because I felt like that's really what he wanted on his end. The side to him that is not restrained by his responsibilities. Although I find it funny (maybe in a cute way) where he said that he will protect her, yet he can't use his immortal powers yet XD

I felt more emotional in episode 26, towards the end, seeing how Luo Ge expresses that he doesn't want to forget about her, and I love how it shows he values his memories and love for Liu Shao as much as Liu Shao does, not to mention he remembered everything he experienced with her in the mortal realm when he was Lu Li!!! I love how he didn't want to forget about her not even in death! That's something very powerful that I love.

I really enjoy the scene where it shows the curse (soul devouring spell) was afraid of the Pheonix tear, to the point that it will get out of his body, but when Luo Ge forced it back because the two powers was having an internal battle, I think Luo Ge did it because yes, he didn't want to forget about Liu Shao and his love for her, but also because he figured that it was the only way to defeat these two conflicting powers when they have their inner battle, so no matter how painful he was feeling he didn't let it go until it finally ended, so my guess is that the Soul Devouring curse is finally gone! (It better be gone!)

You know , both the Soul Devouring curse (by God of Moon) and Phoenix Tear (God of Sun) have something in common is "Love", where one is to forbid you from falling in love, if you do you will die painfully, and the other one is to rid your memories and feelings of love. So I am really starting to think that both God of Moon and God of Sun did loved each other in the past. But in the end, this love brought them nothing but pain is why these two spells was created.

But it also feels like the key to curing the godly curse/spell is for you to have taken both, to trigger the inner battle where the two curse goes at each other being on conflicting inner battles etc.
^ this was the main reason why Luo Ge forced the Soul Devouring spell back into him, to have these two spells fight each other internally. Well we did hear the boom in the end so I am hoping this will be the end of these two spells(especially the soul devouring spell)!!!

P.S. Got to say, I love how Luo Ge kissed her in episode 26 since it was filled with emotions. And it wasn't something I was expecting as well. So I was like wow at it.

Luo ge is literally forcing the curse back into him rather than forgetting Liu Shao... Wow.. and ouch...
I think he forced it back into him because these two powers was having an internal battle and it was shown that the soul devouring spell was afraid of the Phoenix tear spell or something.

Luo Ge forced it back in because he knows the two powers conflicted each other and it was his chance and opportunity to destroy both of these spells in the end.

So I like to believe that is the last we will see of that curse!

Where to watch ep 27 & ep 28 previews? Do u have the link? I couldn't find those on the app.
Omg thank you! I've watched the trailer, and I was like

"wait he doesn't remember??? 😭😭😭"

And then we have that Kiss!!!!!!! Waahhh I have to be honest I wasn't expecting a kiss between the two when he's as Luo Ge!!!

So can I say it's safe to assume that Luo Ge have his memories intact(maybe not at first by the sounds of it), but later he remembers and in the trailer it said that they are openly together now. So does that mean they don't need to worry about the curse now?? I hope so!!!

And what the heck is with A Fu??? Why would he go that far to hurt Luo Ning? I thought that he loved her.... But the words he said to her was really hurtful.. the subs to episode 28 is messed up.

Why does Luo Ge have to give up his immortality just to be free from his responsibilities? I don't get it.

Like he could tell his people that the darkness is gone and the three realms is now in peace or something. Giving up their immortality will not achieve anything . Only will show that they are selfish and heartless. I like to see that they will understand and wish for Luo Ge to pursue his happiness since he's done and sacrificed enough. Luo Ge isn't a thing for them to use over and over again! If they truly care and love him then at least show that much.

If Luo Ge still is an immortal he can help out if danger arises again even if he doesn't hold that responsibility anymore where he chooses his responsibility over love...

This is how I see it on my end. I felt like Luo Ge will hold a lot of regret if he really loses Liu Shao so perhaps he will set on that journey to find her again (if she did sacrifice herself)... All these are just my guess anyways, but we'll have to wait and see.

In the end , as long as they get their happy ending I am content even when I wish for Luo Ge to still be immortal and I hope Liu Shao will be too since I want them to be happy in a long run to make up for all the sacrifices they've put in for the sake of the three realms!
