Seriously what I hate most is seeing the fandom being divided like this now, because they only see how much Hou…
Oh yeah, I did do the translation on YT for the remaining trailers 47-49. Although Shang Gu didn't say anything to hurt Bai Jue in EP48, I think you meant 47 trailer? Because the part when she said...."Bai Jue, I will say this in the name of Shang Gu, and I swear to the ancestor gods, I will not love you forever, nor will I hate you. We will be forever stranger. We will never see/meet again", that part you can clearly see how much her words cut through to him and hurt him, but he was trying to hold it in, until she left, then you see the pain he felt... π’
I know there will be some people who will say "he deserves it!", I for one, cannot even understand why they would think so, those type of comments shows me they never understood the extent of pain that Bai Jue had to endure on his end. In front of her, he acts if it didn't bother him, and he's okay, but from a viewers perspectives, we can clearly see he isn't π’ and yeah, he have no emotional support other than Tian Qi, right now. Yes, imagine being Bai Jue π’ This is why when I see hate comments, I feel like speaking up and give Bai Jue a hug!
Seriously what I hate most is seeing the fandom being divided like this now, because they only see how much Hou…
Thank you ππ Honestly, if there are those people like us who can see it and understand on both sides, it will be so nice to see but too bad I know there are people out there who will only see it from one side (mainly the female side), so when that happens, I just felt inclined to share my views for the male side (if he's worthy to be loved and speak up for, for Bai Jue, he is worth that much time and effort to express his perspectives and feelings in this)
Seriously what I hate most is seeing the fandom being divided like this now, because they only see how much Hou…
I also read comments in here as well, some I just ignore, but some when it hits differently (like this one) I felt like replying. I am planning to do up a review once I watched the drama (hoping the ending will be fulfilling for me). But I have done up a thread just to put that in perspective, to shed some light, even when I know there will be people in here who won't ever see this in Bai Jue's perspectives and his pain, so those type of people I will just ignore on my end...
Honestly, glad to have met another one in here who loves/understand Bai Jue still. It's good to see considering what is happening now, I can't hate Bai Jue for what he's doing because I know he's suffering and if there's another way, he really would never hurt Hou Chi/Shang Gu. What Shang Gu is saying to him now is also hurting him, but no one seems to be saying it, I bet they think that Bai Jue deserves it....Which is all the more sad to see them think that way though, well, that's them for you (I only feel like giving Bai Jue a hug when I see him like that, and wish Hong Ri is still here to give him that emotional support. This is why I am so thankful Tian Qi is here, because he's literally the ONLY one who knows and understand why Bai Jue is doing all this now)
Seriously what I hate most is seeing the fandom being divided like this now, because they only see how much Hou…
Oh good point maybe I should (lol), and ayyyye maybe I will! (but will put this in the thread in the meantime) Thanks for your reply. Glad you feel/think the same as me though.
Seriously what I hate most is seeing the fandom being divided like this now, because they only see how much Hou…
I am glad I can give an insight for you here! And yeah, did my best to speak from Bai Jue's pov, but whether others are open to his side of perspectives (another perspective) is up to them, but glad to know you are enlightened by it though π.
Seriously what I hate most is seeing the fandom being divided like this now, because they only see how much Hou…
Oh I think we did too and you're one of the user in here, I like seeing, since it is showing me, that there are actually people in here, who understands Bai Jue and doesn't hate him. Xu Kai did an excellent job in portraying his character Bai Jue, we can clearly see the pain is written on his face, what Shang Gu is saying, is hurting him too, it's her words that hurts him more than the sword that she put through his chest.
Honestly, right now, I wish Hong Ri is still here, I miss him, and the emotional support he can give Bai Jue at this stage. So this is why I love and enjoy the bromance between Bai Jue and Tian Qi now, because Tian Qi is the ONLY one who understands Bai Jue's plan.
If only people can understand and see how much Bai Jue suffered, and see it from his perspective. For me (no need to say more), since I express it all in that comment of mines. Good to read your reply though π
Couldn't help myself and watched episodes 39-42 raw. I fkn hate Baijue at this moment. I don't care about his…
Seriously what I hate most is seeing the fandom being divided like this now, because they only see how much Hou Chi is suffering right now, but honestly, it really doesn't hurt Bai Jue any less than to have to do this to her. When I see comments like these, it shows me they don't care or understand the pain and suffering that Bai Jue have to endure at this point.
I commented this elsewhere, so will just say again in here:
If you try to see it from another angle here, what good does telling Hou Chi that he's Qing Mu? Aside from causing her more pain and suffering.... Yes, she will know that he's Qing Mu, but then what? Bai Jue can't be the carefree Qing Mu again, because he's not the same Qing Mu who can love freely like when he was prior to him awakening. He's back to Bai Jue who have responsibilities. I am not saying that Bai Jue can't be Qing Mu once this is all over, I still imagine he can be, because he shown me he can be so sweet/loving when it comes to her, except during this time, you only see it when Hou Chi/Shang Gu doesn't know it's him, and this is, sad... Qing Mu (again) can love Hou Chi freely was a blessing for him/them because it was their happy times.
And what I am going to say now is a guess, but I am leaning it to be a fact, because in episode 39, when Hou Chi went to Bai Jue and asked if he's Qing Mu, he said "no", but he was also the one who asked for the tomb/tablet to be made for "Qing Mu", so my guess is that, Bai Jue, indirectly used that chance to leave the final message for Hou Chi when she goes to that place later and got that final message from "Qing Mu".
Why I said it was Bai Jue? Well, hints really:
(1) In order to hurt her less, he can really use indirect methods. He knows what he said have hurted Hou Chi when they met again, but Bai Jue was the one who said to make that tomb/tablet for Qing Mu's death. So this tomb/tablet wasn't there when Qing Mu was "alive", so he couldn't have left that message for her.
(2) When Qing Mu left in episode 38 and became one with Bai Jue, he never planned to leave just like that because you can see there's regret in him, like words he wants to tell Hou Chi and the promise he made to her that he will wait for her, but now he don't get that chance to, so if he was the one who left the message for her, at that place, then he wouldn't look like he did back then.
(3) Most importantly, Bai Jue was at that scene (that same place) just before Hou Chi went to receive the message. We didn't clearly saw him being the one to leave the message for her, but he was there. And he saw Jing Jian playing Go, and saying all that, the way he looked at him, was like he's Qing Mu even when he's Bai Jue now.
So it is clear that Bai Jue, have memories of the times he experience as Qing Mu, even though he lied to her, but the thing with Bai Jue right now is, he can really only use 'indirect ways' to show his love for her. Well, I am not saying 100% it's Bai Jue, but I am getting a feeling it was Bai Jue for all the prior points listed. He can't tell Hou Chi directly, but this is the only way he knew how, hence why he made this tomb/tablet for Qing Mu, goes to that place, before Hou Chi receive the message and then Hou Chi receiving the message later.
To put this into perspectives, sooner or later she will be hurt, it's either now, or prolong the the inevitable. Because again, this hurt was inevitable, but what Bai Jue is doing by doing what he's doing is using indirect methods to minimize her pain/hurt, at the same time, directly minimize the hurt by cutting ties with her sooner rather than later, because when it's time for him to fulfil his plan, and before you said that "well, in the end she finds out anyway, and was hurt with regret" <-- Well, yeah, well, if Bai Jue can go as far as enduring Shang Gu (Hou Chi) hating him forever, as long as she's alive/safe, then her hatred can be her strength to live on, he didn't plan for her to find out the truth later... Shang Gu remembering and remembering her time as Hou Chi, is more of a plot-point to push forward for them to get a happy ending. Yes, the process when she have to wait for Bai Jue hurts, but then she didn't have to wait 60,000+ years the way Bai Jue did, so between the two, we can see who actually waited longer here.
I won't deny that Bai Jue have hurted Hou Chi on his end, but you need to understand that it was inevitable. And while he hurts her, but he is also using indirect methods to minimise the hurt that she will receive in the overall outcome. To him, Qing Mu and Hou Chi being together isn't supposed to happen, because originally, he just want to kept things platonic between them, thus him sacrificing silently. Minimising the pain. If you see the conversation between Gu Jun and Bai Jue, you will see that what has happened, showed that it was now inevitable for him to do this to her. It is hurting him a lot to do this to her...
So really, it isn't only Hou Chi hurting here, it hurts Bai Jue to do this to her as well.
Don't just keep thinking that if Bai Jue told her the truth, then in that sense, yes, she will be less hurtful, but he knows that if Hou Chi found out then she would stop him in this tribulation. So there's two sides to the coin here.
Just like how back then, how hard Bai Jue tried to stop Shang Gu from going through with this.... So they can both think of a plan, but Shang Gu, was determined to go through with it. Bai Jue is the same now. The only difference is, for Bai Jue who watched it all happened back then when he know what's going to happen, but is powerless to stop it, he didn't want Hou Chi to go through the same pain he felt back then (because he knows it's painful to see the one you love to die in front of your eyes). THIS is the reason why Bai Jue was so determined to keep it away from Hou Chi. 60,000 years ago, when he stopped the process, and absorbed it into himself, his destiny was already determined (doomed), and that's the path he wants to take.
But alas, this is how I see it. Certainly is sad to see people not trying to see things from a two side perspective instead of one. I mean, yeah, I can see Hou Chi is hurting too, but what is happening now, it is also hurting Bai Jue to be cold to her, and it is really sad (from my view) that I can clearly see his pain/suffering that he's enduring, yet, he can only use 'indirect methods' to show his love/care for Hou Chi/Shang Gu and Yuan Qi....
For me, I just can't understand how fans can hate on Bai Jue right now, how can they not understand that what Shang Gu is saying is also hurting Bai Jue, so it's equal the hurt, but for Shang Gu, at least she's surrounded by people she loves, but Bai Jue? He is all alone, alone, So how come people don't understand just how much Bai Jue have suffered silently on his end?? Honestly, I know and can understand Hou Chi is hurt from losing Qing Mu, but it also hurts Bai Jue (double the pain) to have to do this to her, since all he ever wanted was for her to live a happy/carefree life away from her destiny, but in the end, it was destiny that brought Qing Mu and Hou Chi together. Sad really, if people can see it from both sides, and different angles, then we can all just enjoy this together, but at the end of the day, I guess this is what makes ALP a great drama, despite our different perspectives, we can still talk about it so much in depth.
In the end, I don't hate Bai Jue, I actually felt sorry for him, I know how much he is enduring right now, and the later episodes, how he shows me that he can only use indirect ways to show his love for both Shang Gu and Yuan Qi, I just find it all the more endearing, yet sad, at the same time, because he have to bear the pain of being misunderstood, yet that is the path he's decided on....
If you understand the episodes or wait till the english subs is out, I can affirm you, it was never in Bai Jue's…
I tried to shed some light from Bai Jue's pov for others to see this from his angle, but if you can't see it then there's nothing I can or will bother to say to this anymore because I already said all I needed to say. At the end of the day, for me, I can understand why Bai Jue did what he did, and all I wanted to say is, as much as its hurting Shang Gu or Hou Chi it is hurting Bai Jue equally as much if not more to have to do this to her, so it isn't the female who is hurting here. My replies is to you and those who failed to see this concept. With that said, I am done.
You BITCH, if Tian Qi dies in the drama, I am SO SERIOUSLY GOING TO TEAR YOU LIMBS FROM LIMBS!!!! OMG!!! I SERIOUSLY…
Same, I felt the same omg, I was SO HAPPY to see Yuemi again, and I was like "Is this real??? Please let this be real!!" π’π’π’π’ But turned out it was a trick and that bitch Wu Huan is just TOO CRUEL to use "Yuemi" to hurt/kill Tian Qi π π π I want her DEAD and NOW. She better suffer 10000000000 times (same with Jing Zhao!!!) for what she did!!!
I didn't want Bai Jue to drink that cup... Because I KNEW something was wrong with it.... I hope he's okay... I know he will be but I still can't help worry about it. What's worst is I have to wait until Next Monday (earliest) for the next episode, this cliff hanger is too cruel omg.
I am more worried about Tian Qi π’π’π’π’ He didn't die in the novel (from what I remember), so he better stay alive in the end, I don't want Tian Qi dead, he's one of my favourite characters, omg!
I don't know how they will get out of this one, maybe the real Yuemi will save Tian Qi or something. Let's hope T__T
I just needed to get my mind off ALP because I know if I don't I will be refreshing the page and the count down is a torture. For me, I do love FIYS on my end, but acting wise I do agree that Zhao Dong Yu is better with the emotion side of things, and I can feel the chemistry between her and Xu Kai better waaah T___T
Tell me about it. I hate the waiting.... This is why I was contemplating to wait for the full episodes to air before catching up, this waiting is a torture indeed.... I am going to watch Xu Kai's other drama Falling into your Smile in the meantime to make it more bearable from the wait XD Good thing I can understand Chinese, otherwise, to wait for the English Subs is even more of a torture LOL
If you understand the episodes or wait till the english subs is out, I can affirm you, it was never in Bai Jue's…
Ok, if you put it like this, I won't deny that Bai Jue have hurted Hou Chi on his end, but you need to understand that it was inevitable. What happened between Hou Chi and Qing Mu was sweet yes, but in the end, it made it harder for Bai Jue, because he have to be cold to her, and push her away when he wants nothing than to make her happy, and see her smile. I am not saying that he regrets the time he was when he's Qing Mu, because if he did, he wouldn't feel so reluctant and hurt when Hou Chi asked him to divorce her, to have a clean cut between them....
So really, it isn't only Hou Chi hurting here, it hurts Bai Jue to do this to her as well.
You keep saying that if Bai Jue told her the truth, then in that sense, yes, she will be less hurtful, but he knows that if Hou Chi found out then she would stop him in this tribulation. So there's two sides to the coin here.

For me, I saw the reason why he didn't admit he was Qing Mu despite he IS Qing Mu is because, it's the last thing he could do for her. So, Hou Chi can hate Bai Jue, but not Qing Mu, the man she once loved with all her heart. It's for her to have something sweet to look back to, their happy times, and not the man he has become in front of her eyes now....
Try to see it from another angle here, what good does telling Hou Chi that he's Qing Mu? Aside from causing her more pain and suffering.... Yes, she will know that he's Qing Mu, but then what? In love, regret can happen, but at least it's a life-experience for her. In the end, as long as all this push forward for them to get their deserved happy ending (and let's hope it will be a fulfilling one), then that's all that matters. Bai Jue; didn't intend for Shang Gu to ever find out the truth about this, that's the whole reason why he removed her memories, and made her hate him. Her finding out is the destiny giving them a second chance to get their happy ending. That's how I see it.
If you understand the episodes or wait till the english subs is out, I can affirm you, it was never in Bai Jue's…
Well, I see it more like Shang Gu remembering and remembering her time as Hou Chi, is more of a plot-point to push forward for them to get a happy ending. Oh and let me add to this... If only Yuan Qi knows that the "Feng Ran" Jie Jie you came to love that day was actually…
I am hoping for a more extended epilogue in the drama, because in the novel for both Ten Miles of Peach Blossom and Eternal Love of Dream, it ended abruptly from what I remember, but the drama adaptation provide a more fulfilling ending (TMOPB > ELOD) that I want to see a more fulfilling closure in ALP, it will be so great to see the three of them (family time) with each other before it ends. So let's hope. Please, please give this to us fans
Another long waiting till sunday hahahaha.... welcome to the club
This is torture omg...... I won't be able to watch it until Monday due to the time difference.. Good thing I have 'Falling into your Smile" to watch in the meantime lol.

Bai Jue can't be the carefree Qing Mu again, because he's not the same Qing Mu who can love freely like when he was prior to him awakening. He's back to Bai Jue who have responsibilities.
He knows what he said have hurted Hou Chi when they met again, but HE (Bai Jue) was the one who said to make that tomb/tablet for Qing Mu's death.
