If you understand the episodes or wait till the english subs is out, I can affirm you, it was never in Bai Jue's…
The point is Qing Mu is Bai Jue, and Hou Chi is Shang Gu, so just like how Bai Jue gets the memories of Qing Mu and knows what happened, when they become one, then through Shang Gu, Hou Chi will too, because Hou Chi is a part of Shang Gu. When Shang Gu regains her lost memories, including the memories for the time when she's Hou Chi, then it is an extension of the after-ending, once this is all over, it will all become clear to her. Shang Gu, didn't know that she lived through those years as Hou Chi on her end, so it feels like Hou Chi is dead, but when she finally knows, then it all becomes clear to her, so in the end, she will still get the message.
To me, I see that both Qing Mu and Hou Chi is an extension to Bai Jue and Shang Gu, and they are the same person. Through Qing Mu and Hou Chi, they were able to experience the kind of love they always wanted to have with each other, without the restraints and responsibilities that hold them back and are free to love the way they did, under a different identity because they don't have memories of their past.
So for me, how I see it is, in the end, when Bai Jue and Shang Gu gets their Happy Ending, then it is the same thing as Qing Mu and Hou Chi getting their happy ending, because Qing Mu and Hou Chi never really died, they both lived inside of Bai Jue and Shang Gu respectively, when they became one (only for Bai Jue, it's much earlier, since he knew the events that happened when he was Qing Mu), for Shang Gu, it will take her time to find out the truth. But really, this is how I see it...
for the fans of XuKai..have read somewhere that after ALP he wont accept any more costume dramas...😢if that…
You don't by any chance have the source to this information, do you? 😢😢😢😢 Xu Kai looks great in costume dramas.... It will be a true loss to the fans who loves to see him in another costume drama though...
I shouldn't have watched episode 46. Should have just stopped at episode 45 and watch ep 46-49 when it's fully out lol. I don't like cliff-hangers and this cliff-hanger is a real torture right now. OMG.....
What’s the time stamp and episode that occurred?
I already cried at the cliff hanger to ep 46. Please I want Wu Huan dead, OMG, and that bitch Jing Zhao can die with her, I hate them both with a passion. I won't spoil for you, but waaah, it's going to be one hell of a roller coaster 😅 But I will wait for your feelings to those episodes when you watch it haahaha 🤣 [Honestly wish I didn't finish watching at episode 46... Should have left at episode 45 T___T]
You BITCH, if Tian Qi dies in the drama, I am SO SERIOUSLY GOING TO TEAR YOU LIMBS FROM LIMBS!!!! OMG!!! I SERIOUSLY JUST WANT TO CUT HER TO PIECES!!!! GOOD JOB IN MAKING ME HATE YOU WITH A PASSION!!!!!
I don't remember Tian Qi dying in the novel..... So Tian Qi, is going to be okay... He's going to be okay..... He will be... OMG the CLIFF HANGER!!!
OKAY... Not just Tian Qi, I worry for Bai Jue too.... But I know he's okay....
If you understand the episodes or wait till the english subs is out, I can affirm you, it was never in Bai Jue's…
Seriously? Lmao. Ok. If you want to put this as logic, let me ask you, did it take 60,000 years for Shang Gu to live through another 60,000 years for them to get their happy ending? I don't think so! But if you want to see as Shang Gu is the ONLY one who suffered, then I am done speaking to you
What’s the time stamp and episode that occurred?
Feel free to express your feelings😄😄, because there's so much I want to say (not that I haven't already in the comment section 😂) that I want to tell you but don't want to spoil it for you since you haven't watch it yet, 😂😂 So yeah, lets cry together. I stayed up to 12:30 last night just to watch ep 39-46 LOL.
(I cried so much for Bai Jue/Hei Jue...ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜)
Same here! In ep 41 wedding scene, he is clearly in pain the entire time but have to hold back his emotions so…
Oh watch on, it will just get better XDDD [the angst is real T ^ T] let's cry together LOL XD. I cried when Gu Jun died... I cried when Hou Chi was in that state, I also cried when Bai Jue was hurting so much to see her like that, yet he was stabbed in the end. At that moment I just wanted to stab that bitch WU HUAN! -__-

Well, then it's not my problem if you don't appreciate that kind of love. For me, I do appreciate it because it shows me how much Bai Jue loves Shang Gu to be willingly misunderstood and sacrifice for her like that, it's like he doesn't need her to be grateful to him, as long as she's protected and alive, that's all he wanted... SelfLESS really IMO
And the thing you need to know is, there's a difference between Tian Qi and Bai Jue... While the end goal is the same i.e. Shang Gu surviving, BUT the paths they went about it is different. Tian Qi is willing to sacrifice the 3 realms and innocent lives just to protect ONE person (Shang Gu), but for Bai Jue, he is willing to just sacrifice himself for the protection of Shang Gu AND the three realms. His sacrifice was just to replace Shang Gu from her destiny from being the sacrifice.
Yes, I want them to go through this together, but this kind of love is more appreciative in a sense that yes, it's angsty, but it is touching to me, so I love how their love is presented this way. I never doubted Bai Jue's love for Shang Gu, there shouldn't be any questions to show how much he loves her, but this is how I see it

I think instead of saying this, you should just take it that destiny is playing with him/them. From that perspective, Yes, you are right that Hou Chi was already exposed to that feeling of losing someone she loved and that Qing Mu is gone forever, but not really, because Qing Mu IS Bai Jue. Bai Jue does remember his time as Qing Mu, he knows all that has happened. The love between Qing Mu and Hou Chi was an extension to their love. The side to them, where they are freed from their responsibilities, and past memories. Just because he has returned to Bai Jue, they became one, it doesn't mean Qing Mu is gone, because they are the same person. What's gone is the side to Qing Mu who is carefree and can openly express his love for Hou Chi(Shang Gu), because returning to Bai Jue, he is now determined to protect her from her fate/destiny. He never stopped loving her. Qing Mu can openly love her that way is because he doesn't have the memories of Bai Jue, so in a sense, when they became one, it's like Qing Mu and Bai Jue became one, the feelings he have for her is still there, they are back to Bai Jue and Shang Gu now, but it doesn't mean he forgot about everything that has happened between them (you will see that he hasn't), when he's Qing Mu and Hou Chi, but since he is determined to walk on this path, he want to minimize the end result of her watching him sacrifice himself the same way he once did 60,000 years ago.
And the thing is, when you understand the conversation between Gu Jun and Bai Jue, you will know it was never Bai Jue's intention to hurt Hou Chi. Back then, when he used the identity as "Bo Xuan" to take care of her, and was being kind to her, he kept things platonic between them to minimize the hurt, because to him, if they never got into that relationship, then the hurt won't be as much as she is in now. It is quite ironic really, because what happened between Qing Mu and Hou Chi, was inevitable, it is destiny trying to play with them. If you recommended that scenario, then I don't think you understand the pain that he have to go through to see her die in front of him and he not being able to do anything to stop it when her body disintegrated like that. The problem with this is, as the saying goes.... The more you love now, the more it will hurt later when you see the one you love die. How Bai Jue felt back then, was 10000x much worst, because he was literally there, but he couldn't do anything to stop Shang Gu from sacrificing herself (in the end, he was able to prevent her from completing her tribulation to save her). Sure, they have the sweet moments (not really) up to that moment but to see the one you love die like that, is going to be very painful.
From Bai Jue's perspectives, Shang Gu hating him now, can be her strength to live on and be happy later. He would rather she misunderstood him, is much better than her knowing the truth and what he sacrificed for her, which will ultimately hurt her in the end.
What needs to be said here, Bai Jue originally just wanted to sacrifice himself silently, and not involve Hou Chi in this, that's why he made that promise to her, that he will come back to her, so she won't go looking for him, him/them meeting again, is not his reference of him being Qing Mu, but more of a reference that "IF there's a next life", once he replaced Shang Gu in this tribulation, as long as she have that bracelet that he gave her, he will be able to find her again, but yeah.... Destiny just have to play with him/them, because Qing Mu and Hou Chi have to happen, to make it inevitable and harder for Bai Jue to push her away like he does now... Sad really.
How great it will be if Shang Gu knew the whole truth now, will save the agony for him/her, but honestly, I DO understand why Bai Jue didn't want her to know. He even went as far as removing her memories before she fully awaken as Shang Gu, so that she didn't know the events that takes place 60,000 years ago, and their relationship along with her responsibility as a Chief God...
What Bai Jue is doing now, is yes being cold to her (but it doesn't hurt him any less to do this to her, if not the hurt results to being double for him since he have to hurt the one person he love/care for and the pain of being misunderstood by the one he loves), and I do think that he told her he is not Qing Mu is because he wants to leave it as a sweet memory for Hou Chi to look back to later on. Not something that will bring her pain/sadness, because their time as Qing Mu and Hou Chi (while he never intended for it to happen, since it made it inevitable now for him to be like this to her), but it is like an extension of their love, and a life he wanted with her, if the tragedy didn't happen back then 60,000 years ago
And yet can u believe there are people who said Xukai cannot act? If u look at BJ’s face expression, that’s…
Well if only she was thinking rationally at that moment, she would know through Bai Jue's actions and his concern look for her then perhaps she wouldn't have stabbed him, but she was hurt so....
In the end, all I will say, is the moment she stabbed Bai Jue, I feel so much hurt for Bai Jue (he was hurt, not physically, but emotionally as well). And Shang Gu, I know she will regret treating him this way, when she remembers her time as Hou Chi, and later find out the whole truth.
do tell why HC changed clothing...from white to dark colored dresses..?thank you..😉
The Black clothing is a symbolic of the path he's walking on now. No, not evil, but the him now which have the Power of Chaos core in him. I will say again, Bai Jue is not evil lol. But I am tired of spoiling the details, so you will see when that time comes and what he's planning to do
One thing that is beyond me in all ancient Chinese drama is the logic of sacrifice embedded in lies and indirect…
If you understand the episodes or wait till the english subs is out, I can affirm you, it was never in Bai Jue's intentions to hurt Hou Chi or Shang Gu, it was already confirmed in his talk with Gu Jun when he came to him and they had that talk. Bai Jue expresses that because of what happened between Qing Mu and Hou Chi, it became inevitable that he have to be cold to her so she won't get hurt later when he's gone. You can also see that its clearly hurting Bai Jue to have to do this to her, because when Qing Mu and him became one again, he knows what happened (since he remember his time as Qing Mu), but he have to lie to her and say that he's not Qing Mu.
Love is about sacrificing to protect the one you love. He really did all he could to minimise the hurt for her. Just try to remember that 60,000 ago when she died, how he felt back then, so now, he is doing this to protect her and also why he's cold to her is so that when that time comes, she won't have to go through the pain that he went through when he watch her "die" in front of him. She didn't find out until much later (in the novel), and thats already too late....
