Did anyone noticed that in the earlier episode, Chi Cheng said he doesn't eat spice or chilli, but in the latest episode 9, he is eating it because, yes he wants to tease Wu Suo Wei, but at the same time he is adapting his taste to get use to the spice because he knows that Wu Suo Wei loves spice on his end. Its a very subtle moment but I personally really like what was revealed there seeing how he went from someone who doesn't eat spice to someone who does because of Wu Suo Wei 💜💜

I actually commented earlier in here about that whole scene, but I will comment again in here just to express how important that scene was, knowing what that scene represents:
"I have to say I was really touched at the scene where Chi Cheng chose to kill Huang Long to save Wu Suo Wei. Yes, he hesitated at first but I felt like that moment of hesitation was him finally saying goodbye to his past self that he had clung to all this time.
It is like what Guo Cheng Yu said that Huang Long meant something "special" to Chi Cheng as it was revealed who Huang Long represents.
I felt like how Chi Cheng felt for Wu Suo Wei already runs deep before all this, but this act of decision between choosing between Huang Long or Wu Suo Wei and where in the end, Chi Cheng ends up killing Huang Long because he chose Wu Suo Wei shows that this act and decision of his showed and tell him just how much Wu Suo Wei means to Chi Cheng, a realisation for him just how much he actually loves Wu Suo Wei on his end. Since before, he endured all this from his father, even dated Yue Yue who he didn't love for the sake of his snakes, but after this it showed him nothing is more important than Wu Suo Wei.
I love how Chi Cheng also apologises to Wu Suo Wei that he didn't kill Huang Long sooner(and hesitated to do so) because it shows me that he never wanted Wu Suo Wei to be in that critical condition. The fact that he didn't take care of Huang Long body after he's dead and left it for Guo Cheng Yu, and how Chi Cheng stayed at the hospital without sleeping because he wants to be awake when Wu Suo Wei wakes up really touched me.

The part that he clung to and somehow couldn't let go of in the end, but this realization for him hits hard and showed him his inner heart and how he really feels. So to put this simply, if Wu Suo Wei didn't stepped in, then Chi Cheng will not have this moment to show a decision between Huang Long and Wu Suo Wei and allowed Chi Cheng to choose between the two. If he would have taken the snakes back and not be given that decision in choosing between the two then he will not have that character growth to finally move on from his past, and accepting this on his end.
It's all part of Chi Cheng's character developments and to show him (with this realization) how important Wu Suo Wei is to him and between Huang Long and Wu Suo Wei, he will choose Wu Suo Wei on his end.

I was just rewatching the drama from the beginning again and I noticed something interesting. The beauty of rewatching the episodes when you can pick up something you might have missed initially.
In the early episode's, Chi Cheng likes to use his "girlfriend" to get a reaction out of Wu Suo Wei, to make him Jealous.
But later(in episode 7 and 8), his feelings seems to change from attempting that "girlfriend" card and he seems to be more considerate towards Wu Suo Wei feelings. You can see that he is more caring and reassuring about his feelings/love towards Wu Suo Wei and he doesn't care/want to spend time with his girlfriend. And didn't want to make Wu Suo Wei upset or jealous because it is like he said to him, when Wu Suo Wei is mad, he gets anxious (he came to care for Wu Suo Wei this much already, so they are literally, emotionally connected IMO, as his emotions can affect him too)
You see that when he comforts him about having to go on a business trip with Yue Yue. You also see that when he said Yue Yue is coming over to his place and when he told this to Wu Suo Wei and Wu Suo Wei looks upset, he hugged him.
I actually love seeing this change in his character, where he reassures Wu Suo Wei that the one he loves is him, not Yue Yue.
If I have to pinpoint this change in Chi Cheng character where he comes to care more about how Wu Suo Wei feels is after Wu Suo Wei said that about "he is not his boyfriend so why should he let him do that(have s*x with him), and further put emphasis in that scene when Wu Suo Wei said that if he force this on him, Chi Cheng will not have his heart and it will only be a physical relationship between them. This really pushes Chi Cheng to think about how he feels about Wu Suo Wei where he came to care and love/treat him more like a lover sense(despite they're not officially yet, but this is how he feels already).
Revenged Love is such a good journey if you understand these subtle changes and developments for the characters and pairing there. And now, just 50 minutes till the next episode. I wish I can watch it now.

There's something called plot developments and this drama is not based on the first episode entirely.
The first episode is just an introduction but it gets better later on.
But if you don't like it you don't have to watch it. No one is forcing you to. Its your right to not watch it.
