When Bai Shuo asked Fan Yue that the one he is protecting is the Desireless stone, while it is true that it all started because of the desireless stone in her, but just like Tian Huo said to Fan Yue that there are other ways for him(Fan Yue) to control her but he chose the most troublesome way(for himself) to do so.
I do believe that she have already worked her way into his heart, where he is not only protecting her because of the Desireless stone, but because she's Bai Shuo. Even when he doesn't want to admit it at this stage.
But one thing, I do like is, Fan Yue doesn't control her, or lock her up and that he actually gives her the freedom to speak and that he actually listens and consider her feelings.
And the way how he speaks up for her when other looks down on her is just β€οΈ
The context about the god or immortal realm was changed in this drama. It seems that the connection with ALP became…
Yeah I had to agree with this in terms of connections, at least in TLI, there's still some connections linked back to ALP despite the character names, but in MM it feels like you really dig into it or read between the texts or look at very very subtle hints to find the connection
I think you forgot that Fan Yue had no intention of helping her save her father to begin with. He didn't even…
If you read the beginning sentence, I know what she was going through, but I am judging her from a viewer perspective.
And that is where you and I differ, I dont agree that he deserve that stab... it make me dislike her actions in that moment.
If she had yelled at him, minus the stab, I would have been fine with it, but her just stabbing him like that was totally unnecessary and just makes her character π for me in that moment.
But I guess this is what makes us viewers with different opinions lol because we judge these scenes differently.
I think you forgot that Fan Yue had no intention of helping her save her father to begin with. He didn't even…
I am just saying that as a comparison to the others, at least he didn't really sit in the sidelines and did nothing like she said.
Yes, he didn't care for Bai Shuo's father, he has no reason to, because he is indifferent to those human immortals, but compared to Chong Zhao who said he will do what he could but in the end, didn't contribute anything aside from stopping her(I know he only wanted to protect her), but the difference here is in comparison between the situation, it still didn't change the fact that Fan Yue did helped her even if this was for his own selfish gain.
It was part of his plan, I am not denying that but you seem to be forgetting that, this being a part of his plan didn't wash away those times he assisted and helped her and he was there to help her when everyone else was trying to get in her way of what she want (save her father, he gave her the antidote even if it was temporarily, she want to go to where her father is, he assisted her with this), that FYI is NOT watching from the side lines.
So, I personally DON'T agree she have to go so far as stabbing him...
My point to this is when Bai Shuo said he just watch and sit in the sidelines and didn't do anything, thats not true with those points considered. He did do something during those situations to help her.
At least he was better than Chong Zhao imo when I am looking at the situation in comparison.
I know Bai Shuo is heartbroken about her father's death(that was really sad, and I hated bitch for escalating the poison) but I still have to say, WTF.
Fan Yue sitting on the side lines and did nothing to help? Really?
Did she completely forgot that it was Fan Yue that gave her the antidote to temporarily cure her father, even if it was temporarily. That is something not even the immortals did to help.
Did she forget that when her father drugged her and sent her away, it was ALSO Fan Yue that came to assist her by teleporting them both to the destination instead of her having to ride a horse back?
Did she forget that when Chong Zhao and those Lanling elders came to stop her from going to her father, it was AGAIN, Fan Yue who stayed back to fight against them so she could go to where her father is?
Seriously, that stab was very unnecessary ππ and I hated it because it made her seem ungrateful.
Yes, she just lost her father and she's heartbroken because all her beliefs and outlook has turned upside down from what happened... But, when she said to Fan Yue that he just stood on the sidelines and did nothing, I really just "!!!" At her, not to mention that unnecessary stab, poor Fan Yue!
Yes, I was thinking that too back in ep 11/12 w/ GQMβs aunt being all hostile and secretive with her past. Remember…
And not to mention that the sword she uses was said that it once belonged to her sister(which is GQM mother) and it was revealed it resonates with SQ like it was its(the sword) master. So many subtle hints here!
Yeahhh I agree with you. SQ is both likeable and dislikeable character which is so refreshing to see for an anti-hero…
IKR but I will admit that he looks good with white hair.
He did said that he once had hope for the immortal realm and walked in the light but that cost him his arm so that lead me to think that something devasting has happened for him to become who he is at this present point.
I liked him and I genuinely do believe that when he said he doesn't want to see MXY(his disciple) get hurt because of XXC in the end is really how he felt, but how he forces those decisions upon her will was very selfish of him. I don't like his actions for doing it but I don't dislike him(as a character) at the same time (that's why it's so complicated for me because I felt in the overall he is a misunderstood character, that made me soft for him π’)
Hmm not 100% sure but like I said "plot twist" but no I am basing it from up to ep 14 I've seen so far with the subtle hints thrown in.
But I guess we will see later, since GQM master really hates Sangqi for destroying her sister(which is GQM mother) happiness or something. And that sword she uses resonates with Sangqi like it was his master(the sword master) so that's another hint.
But they're just my theory for now. I haven't read the novel
I love Tian Qi and Yuemi's story in Ancient Love Poetry, so considering this is a spinoff to their story in this drama, it is a much watch for me.
Although I wish they kept the original character names for Fan Yue(Tian Qi), but oh well..
I still prefer the original cast to these characters though but I'll still watch it, so far so good. hopefully it will be a happy ending.... if Bai Lu character give me the same character vibe as TTEOTM, then I am honestly considering blacklisting her future dramas because quite honestly, TTEOTM was the drama I looked forward to back then before it aired, but was greatly disappointed in the drama, and her character in TTEOTM scarred me for a long time! I just hope this won't follow in its footsteps seeing how the pairing in this story deserves a happy ending in their own spin-off and hopefully this drama will deliver it and give them and us the happy ending it deserves!
Actually after watching episode 14 makes me think that. But nvm, I am having random thoughts and theories....
I dont like nor do I agree with what Sangqi did judging by the trailer in ep 15.... but I don't hate or dislike him if that makes sense. My feelings for him can be described as complicated
After watching episode 12, when Sangqi said he is very sad that Mu Xuanling had betrayed him, I felt he was genuinely sad.
I felt like he is a misunderstood villain.
And maybe in his own way, he does care for Mu Xuanling, because he didn't want to see her get hurt/sacrifice for Xie Xue Cheng. But his "care" towards her was more leaning towards a very selfish way if I had to put it..
