Some of us in here (me included) is rewatching My Boss again (the same ML Actor: Chen Xinxu in that one) for therapy! To wash away this horrid!
You know i actually like the OST's in this drama and I have them downloaded on my phone to listen to it again but if I am going to be honest, I don't think I can listen to those OST's again without being reminded of the ending.....
Usually for me, listening to Drama OST's makes me remember the scenes in that drama that I love etc but because of how traumatizing that ending was, it has overshadowed everything in this drama for me and I cannot listen to the OST anymore without being reminded of what happened in the end.
I hate you, Shi Ruo Min. I hope you get all the backlash from fans.
Chen Xinxu, I honestly hope you get better scripts with a better and happier ending in the future because I want to watch more of your dramas, but one where the journey and developments is worth it in the end and not being thrown into the drain by all your hard work. You've worked very hard to recover in this drama and after you recover you certainly didn't deserve this crap! You deserve a HAPPY ENDING CLEARLY!

Qin Fei really shouldn't have made up that lie to have Xing Zhizhi return to Suman to speed up his recovery because this indirectly caused them that horrid ending in the end.
If doing an operation was what allowed Qin Fei to regain his emotions then so be it. Even if it takes time in China, at least it wouldn't be in a dangerous place like Suman.
The more I think about it the more I end up hating how it all turned out.
If you want to give a tragic death to the ML(NOT that i support it), having him protect the FL in an attack would have been better than that cheap direction and him being implied dead and killed OFFSCREEN!
There's two screen writers here, maybe Wu Meng Zhang wrote the first half and Shi Ruo Min wrote the second half...since Shi Ruo Min also gave a sad ending in LIP(Love is Panacea) 😒
While I was sad that LIP have a sad ending but at least there was built up to that ending, but in TBL(The Beautiful Lie), that was SO RANDOM and SO UNNECESSARY! IT MAKES ZERO SENSE IN TERMS OF LOGICAL DIRECTION AND WRITING PERSPECTIVE. THIS IS WHY I AM SO PISSED AND DISAPPOINTED, because it defeats that whole purpose in the last half of the story where Xing Zhizhi was trying his best to recover and he did recover(able to feel those emotions again), that gave us hope and then that shit happened OFFSCREEN.

The lesson in this drama wasn't served or logical because throughout the second half of the story you see the ML is trying his best to recover from his psychological issue (mental health) and he actually had recovered but then THAT happened.
In the end the FL suffered the same fate which she was trying to help the ML recover on her end.
It serves no purpose in my opinion and it made their journey to heal each other went down the drain and the developments out the window..
I hate these kind of writing style where the writers throw the developments out the window and plot holes in the end.

I read someone said in here the novel has a happy ending but that stupid screen writer changed the ending from the novel to this horrid ending.

I want to believe he's alive but my mind and heart and from those scenes that lead up to that final ending tells me he's dead and was implied dead.
I hate to think this way but honestly if you watched the final two episodes properly you will know he is not real in the end

Watch My Boss. Or rewatch it again. I guarantee you that drama is 10000000x better in terms of ending than this crap by the writers.
