literally it’s what i am doing lmaoooo
I was hooked into My Boss since the beginning. But this one I am struggling to continue

Maybe because in My Boss I like the FL better.

But I'm going to stick to a few more episodes (currently at episode 3) since I do like CXX.

So Lusi is first shown as the hatched phoenix. Then the ML disturbed her and she disappeared, and now they have…
Because when Fengyin (Phoenix) dissipated and her soul fragments scattered, one of the fragments went into the Water Divine Beast Egg(the blue one), when she hatched from the Egg and received another identity, she herself did not know she is actually Fengyin(Phoenix), none of them knew how Fengyin looked like when she hatched from the Phoenix Egg. The only one who knew was her master(Fengyuan), but she actually went into seclusion on her end all this time.

When A-Yin was the water divine beast she, is simply just the water divine beast. That was her nature.

I guess you can consider it is one of Fengyin tribulation where she is experiencing as A-Yin because in the beginning(ironically) after she hatched from the egg she told her master that she wanted to travel around the world and experience those hardships before she take her position as the Phoenix Queen, in a way what happened to her did came true since her soul formed another identity as A-Yin, and she is going through these experiences right now.

At this time, no one knows about her real identity since she is simply just A Yin as the water divine beast and she, herself didn't know about her real identity.
No one has seen Fengyin appearance before so it is understandable they didn't know she share the same look as Fengyin.

When she return to being Fengyin later due to the events that played out.... She will have her complete memories of the time she experienced as A Yin. But when that time comes..... Please also try to see things from the ML (Gujin/Yuanqi) perspectives to understand him better.. it is not hard to understand why ML did all that when you see it from his perspectives too

An opinion: "Is "Shen Yin" with a Douban rating of 6.2 really that bad? After watching the TV series, I suddenly…
Seriously I never understood Douban ratings on my end. This is why I never visit it because it is filled with negativity on the drama I love...

I gave a short reply there. I hope @alexasopretty will join us!
Yeah thanks for your reply. I've seen it this morning. I wanted to do up that thread since it is easier to backtrack my analysis instead of in the comment section here.

Hopefully @alexasopretty will too since she is usually active in here from what I'm seeing.

I'm at ep25 and I'm seeing the most fragile God in the history of God's, very chaotic yet unreasonable it's very…
I don't know how you failed to see how much ML was the one who tried his best and beyond to protect A-Yin (FL). When the heck did the male lead unleashes hell on her?! Did you missed the part how he was the one who went up against everyone who want to punish her with the heavenly thunder that will result to her death! One that even A-Yin is willing to take on her end! Did you not see how upset he was when A-Yin didn't value her life by wanting to take the heavenly thunder?

The FL wasn't the only one suffering, the ML was too but he suffered more so silently....He suffered so much more in episode 25 evidently because all he wanted was to protect her and shut those immortal up by giving a fair answer to them that they seek..... NOT one that will end her life because he DIDN'T know that bitch Huashu did all that to her already behind his back.... He was only around 200ish at that time.....

Anyone who have seen all 25 episodes wouldn't have blamed the ML because we know that he really did his best and above to protect A-Yin despite he was being pressured when those stupid immortals was pointing fingers at her...

Honestly, If you cannot understand the ML even after all 25 episodes then I guess this is not your drama, time to move on for you and watch another drama where a God is 10,000 or 60,000 years old.... Or perhaps when you can learn to see things from both sides perspectives and not just solely on the female lead perspective being one side perspective.

My feelings to episode 35 and in light of Fengyin's feelings: https://kisskh.at/discussions/shen-yin/122843-episode-35-the-dream-and-fengyin-feelings?pid=2949087&page=1#p2949087

I said it in here before and I will say it again, I really love how that "scene" played out.

I mean it wouldn't be hard to understand their feelings if we see it from both sides perspectives to be honest. But I'm happy with how the writers handled that part since it is believable as it all connects and ties back to how she felt when she was A-Yin.

A very good watch. I liked it. But where was his mother when all this was happening? Yes, I've seen ALP, i know…
The God Realm was closed prior to the 1000 years time skip when Shang Gu was still kneeling at the Ancestral Gods.

When Yuanqi got back his True God powers he was supposed to return to the God Realm but he kept delaying it since he have unfinished business he needed to attend to.

The events after the 1000 years time skip, when Feng Yin returned, Bai Jue would have also have returned to Shang Gu in the God Realm.

As for why Shang Gu didn't stop all this from happening, I would think that it is because they see all this is part of Yuanqi's own tribulation that he needs to go through, which the Ancestral Gods have set for him, just like how back then Shang Gu and Baijue had theirs in ALP

In the novel, I've read fans saying that shortly after Baijue had returned to Shang Gu, he went down to the three realms to catch up with Yuanqi etc, so in the novel, Yuanqi know about his father returning (which didn't show in the drama).

Hong Yi(A-Jiu) is just slow in realizing his feelings. His feelings for A-Yin is more in a form of gratitude that…
I don't mind love triangles if it is added to build on the main pairing.

The type of love triangle that I HATE is the one where ML and SML loves the FL, but the FL is hesitant and don't know who she really loves or cannot choose between the two..... OR FL and SFL loves the ML but the ML is hesitant and don't know who he loves or cannot choose between the two.

I am absolutely fine with the LT in TLI, because even when Hongyi crushes on A-Yin but he was there to make Gujin jealous and I will be lying if I say I didn't enjoy those jealousy moments since it shows me he loves A-Yin. But it is not done in a malicious intent because Hongyi in the end respected A-Yin's decision and gradually moved on where he only sees Feng Yin as his best friend.

Also, despite Hongyi sees Yuanqi as his love rival, but I do really love their friendship rivalry and how they bicker in a childish way, which also shows they are close and they care for each other.

Yeah all drama will have love triangles, for me as long as the main pairing is clear and solid and holds strong feelings for each other (and doesn't hesitate), then I don't mind LT being added into the story if the writers want to spice it up.

As long as it's not an LT that creates complication and in the end ruin something I love in said character then I'm okay with it.

The reason I don't support SFL loving ML is per what I said in my previous comment, which my reply to you was solely for this drama (TLI), so, I won't go into this again.

Hong Yi(A-Jiu) is just slow in realizing his feelings. His feelings for A-Yin is more in a form of gratitude that…
It's because we ALREADY have the SML crushing on the FL to cause the jealousy is why I don't want to see another unnecessary conflict added to the friendship of 4 that I love in TLI.

If we have the SFL crushing on the ML first, then I will say the same thing, we don't need SML crushing on the FL. It is because in TLI, we have it on SML crushing on the FL is why I don't want it to be like a love quadrangle in TLI.

To have the SML(Hongyi) crushing on the FL(Fengyin) makes ML(Yuanqi) jealous and then have the SFL(YanShuang) crushing on the ML(Yuanqi) to make the FL(Fengyin) jealous will cause a rift in their friendship which I don't want to see.

Like I said, I don't like the unnecessary drama and conflicts. In all those xianxia times we always have a toxic female crushing on the Male Lead and hurt the Female Lead, this is overly used.

The fact that we didn't have it in TLI (AND BFTB) is refreshing for once.

The main reason I don't support it is it creates unnecessary drama for no good intention. Didn't you get annoyed when you said in another comment of yours that Hongyi didn't realize and return Yan Shuang feelings? So it's the same thing here.

If, Yan Shuang crushes on ML(Yuanqi) and Hongyi on FL(Fengyin), then in the end it's just going to be complication instead of just building on the second leading pair Yan Shuang and Hongyi.

It is the fact that we have Hongyi crushes on FL already is why I don't need one for SFL (Yan Shuang) on ML(Yuanqi) because if they need to make the second leading pair believable and not forced is that one of them(Yan Shuang) needs to show feelings for the other(Hong Yi) sooner, that way when that time comes, to make the second pairing(Hongyi and Yuan Shuang) together, it won't be like out of the blue and out of no where but it actually makes sense.

To make it into a love quadrangle: SFL crushing on ML, ML and FL shares mutual love and then SML crushing on FL, it will just going to make the SFL and SML heartbroken first (to not get their crush love) and then forcibly be paired together for the sake of giving them their happy ending. Personally I don't like to see that....

Now, I am saying all that, but it doesn't mean I am saying that ML is not loveable because he's VERY loveable to me, and naturally he is easily loved, but to love the ML, it doesn't necessarily have to be love in a romantic sense. It can be love in a platonic sense, just like how I'm personally glad that the writers did NOT make A-Yu love ML in a romantic sense because that will cause conflict in feelings between her and her sister Feng Yin, BUT I still like how A-Yu love Yuanqi in a platonic(family) sense.

Why make everything romantic to add more complications, we have platonic Love too. And I love the platonic love that the other characters have for ML(Yuanqi): Aunt Feng Yuan, Bibo, three headed dragon, Aunt Hongchou, Spirit Sword , Chang Que, Hongyi and Yan Shuang, they all love and care for ML (Yuan Qi) as someone important to them. Romantic love can be reserved for someone special (FengYin) for Yuanqi IMO.

Title The Last Immortal Spoiler
Hua Shu didn't like Gujin on her end.... She only just wanted to "marry" to anyone who can benefit her Peacock…
I felt that Hua Shu is a character that gets influenced by either Lan Feng or her father.

To be honest, as much as I hated her character, but I do see that Lan Feng is the light that makes her into a better version of herself.

That is probably one of the many reasons why Hua Mo wanted Lan Feng dead because only if he died can he easily manipulate his daughter (Hua Shu).

The moment when Gujin asked the the special required item that can help him refine the elixir to enhance A-Yin lifespan, even her servant(maid) find that is not something she would do normally on her end, and then Hua Shu reply to her was that , since she have decided, she's going to stick to it and be a better version of herself for Lan Feng. When she said that I do believe she was sincere that she will change for the better for Lan Feng, but because he died, then all her later actions is being manipulated by her father into doing all this....

This is why for me, I believed that IF Lan Feng had lived, he will be the light that will help guide her back to the right path and poses an opposite effect of what her father will have on her...

Honestly, I don't like Hua Shu character because of how it was written, I felt that if they have her decide on who she wants to be with then she should stick to it and not have her be like, chasing after Yuanqi for the power and support of her family and clan, even when she knows where her feelings and heart is(towards Lan Feng), but for a woman who can marry for power etc is the type of woman that is really off-putting for me...

I hate both her and her father but at least for Hua Shu, she's not completely irredeemable because the moment she realized it was her father that killed Lan Feng, she didn't want to go through with the plan anymore. So to an extent I do believe that Lan Feng is the only person she ever loved.... BUT it did not end to the way she had hoped for because of what her father did..

Her father is way too manipulative... And she trusted her father too much that make her a pawn to his plans...

I always wonder what would have happened if she realized it was her father that killed Lan Feng early on, perhaps she would have played a role in stopping her father (like we saw in the end) much sooner.

I am not speaking up for Hua Shu when I said all that but after watching the whole thing that's how I see it, for Lan Feng, she is willing to change and be a better person for him.

For Yuanqi, she only wanted him for the support and power.

This is why, I can't really say I love her character as the overall since it is rotten like you said and it is despicable to me like she's someone who is willing to jump between the two man despite she know where her heart and feeling lies. It's the fact she knows and she can still do it makes her character unlikeable to me in the end.

Hong Yi(A-Jiu) is just slow in realizing his feelings. His feelings for A-Yin is more in a form of gratitude that…
Overcomplicated triangle is unnecessary complications..... Where the SFL loves the ML and then causes unnecessary jealousy between two who could be best friends (SFL: Yan Shuang and Feng Yin), and then the SFL(Yan Shuang) who is a decent character can't get the love because the main pairing always wins...

What I'm saying is that one of the reason TLI is appealing to me is it doesn't follow the usual trope of a lot of female falling for the male lead and then overcomplicate the story for dramatic purposes.... we already have Hongyi having a crush on A Yin, we don't need to add another complication of Yan Shuang loving Yuanqi too.

I don't want the SFL(Yan Shuang) to love the ML(Yuanqi), not because Yuanqi isn't loveable, because he very much is, BUT what I love is that at the end of all this *SPOILERS* Yan Shuang can get her happy ending in loving a guy who can return her feelings in the end.

As for my other parts of how I feel, I already explained it in my initial comment. I love the friendship between Yuanqi and Hongyi, Feng Yin and Yan Shuang, as well as how Hongyi came to see Fengyin as his best friend instead of a crush he had for her before all this.

Complication in LT dramatic purposes is annoying and overly used in the past so TLI not following that trope where the Females falling for the ML, I do find it refreshing for once.

I'm on episode 28, and i had high hopes Ajiu and Yan Shuang would be together because i see from early on that…
Hong Yi(A-Jiu) is just slow in realizing his feelings.

His feelings for A-Yin is more in a form of gratitude that she saved him back then.

But his feelings for Yan Shuang is more of a gradual process that you can see in the later part of the story.

On a side note I might be a minority that despite ML Yuanqi is really loveable in my eyes but I am glad that the SFL Yan Shuang didn't love ML in a romantic sense since I don't like the drama of the overly complicated LT and also because I love those four friendship: Yuanqi and Hongyi, Fengyin and Yan Shuang the most.

So I was wondering...I'm not sure about the novel but from the drama, I'm going to say, although Hua Shu denies…
Hua Shu didn't like Gujin on her end.... She only just wanted to "marry" to anyone who can benefit her Peacock clan... The only one I ever see her "loving" was Lan Feng because that is the only time she wants to be a better version of herself for Lan Feng and Marry him because of "love" not because of what she can gain from marrying someone that will help her peacock clan....

Hua Shu feelings for Gujin was never love or even close to that.... She only just wanted to use him back then for power and that holds true when she found out he's a True God.

This is why for me I can NEVER like her character and how it's written.. I don't mind anti villain or anti hero if it's written right but the writers wrote her character is dislikeable to an extent she knows where her heart lies but she still wanted Yuanqi for power is just pure disgusting IMO

The reason she doesn't like A-Yin is because she sees her as an obstacle to achieving and getting what she wants....

Hua Shu also strikes me as someone who has in inferior complex where she doesn't want anyone to be better than her, to her she has to be the prettiest and cannot lose to anyone or Feng Yin in that matter. She came to "love" Lan Feng because he's the only one who likes her despite her flaws

Someone explain to me if the demon or evil God that was locked away for 70k years is the same person from ALP…
It is supposed to be the same person, but his name was changed to Mingqi in The Last Immortal instead.

Xuanyi in ALP DRAMA and what happened to him and the beginning of the God Realm is actually just added in the plot IN ALP Drama. This didn't happen in the novel.

Mingqi character adaptation is closer to its novel adaptation of Xuanyi about him being born a devil god, and NOT the him who fell to the devil's because he want to go against destiny.

No.

If I said that their relationship reminds me to Baijue, Shanggu, Tianqi and Yuemi then that is a clear indication that YanShuang doesn't have feelings for ML(Yuanqi) since in ALP Yuemi didn't have feelings for the ML(Baijue)

There's only one annoying bitch but she doesn't really have feelings for the ML. She just wanted him for her own personal gain

The second male lead (Hongyi) and second female lead (Yan Shuang) is really likeable in the story.

As a matter of fact if you have watched ALP then ML, FL, SML and SFL really reminds me of Baijue, Shanggu, Tianqi and Yuemi.

20 something. Thats also when the angst starts. He does get stronger and you can see his growth even before episode…
The angst that hurts will last for a few episodes. But you will see when that time comes.

For me personally I felt sorry for both the ML and FL when it happened though
