Did Tianqi appear in here? If he did, what happen to him?
In the novel he did but in the drama they were not mentioned at all.

Then maybe you can state in your comment which ones you've seen to avoid us recommending the same ones to you.

the reason for TLI lower rating is their stupid script and average CGI ...that drama can not even compare with…
I am not calling you a hater.

I was just giving you an advise if you want to enjoy the story then it is best to not compare Yuanqi to Baijue like most people who loves ALP likes to do. And FYI the only reason I made that comment in TLI that you saw was because to "shed some light" indirectly replying to the Original person who made a comment criticizing YQ unfairly with biasness .....

I started watching TLI because I also want to find out the story of their son as well

But there is ALOT of comments I've seen in the TLI comment section (not saying by you but from others) I've seen keeps bashing and looking down on Yuanqi because they love Baijue and likes to compare the two.

Comparison is undoubtedly cannot be controlled within us that is why I said in my comment AND my review that people should give Yuanqi a chance. Again I was not specifically saying you are a hater but it was just a suggestion.... So you can get into watching TLI with a bit of an open mind as it may help. It was just a suggestion that may help you enjoy the drama better.

People cannot expect Yuanqi being 200 years old at the beginning to be like his father Baijue who have at least 60k experience.

When people do and judge Yuanqi like that, that is already unfair.... And I've seen a lot of comments in that discussion doing it

For me I love both Baijue and Yuanqi in their respective story and I wish people don't judge TLI just because they already hold an unfair bias towards ALP being better.

They can love ALP better, but just to dislike TLI for the sake of making their drama(ALP) better and making unreasonable judgement on the character without watching the whole thing is what I was referring to "in the overall".

That comment from me in that thread was again based on what someone said about Yuanqi being a crybaby etc etc.... Which again I felt it was ridiculous and unreasonable when the time that YQ did cry it is within reasons and he doesn't cry all the time. When that person who originally made the comment in their part said that Baijue is better. Well for their information Baijue did cry too within reasons in ALP so why do people judge Yuanqi unfairly and with bias is beyond me.....

Please don't go labelling me into those people in TLI who is a TLI fan bashing ALP because as you can see in my review and I've been saying all along I've loved both drama and characters on my end. I didn't like those TLI fans for bashing ALP either, since it makes fans who loves both dramas TLI and ALP looks bad. And I love both!

P.S. no I don't think the details to BJ embarrassing moments was disclosed to viewers in detail exactly what happened.... But what TQ implied is a moment that will make Baijue the laughing target of the three realms if it was revealed which BJ made them promise to not mention it again....

Everyone have their growing stages on the story and I'm not saying that to look down on BJ since I LOVE him too... The whole reason of that comment in TLI was in highlight and shed some light that the ORIGINAL person who was being unfair to YQ character when he/she made the comment originally...........If Baijue is allow to cry within reasons than so does Yuanqi......to be fair......

In the end I just want to say no drama is 100% perfect. People have the right to like what they want in preference but they should NOT just go into another drama thread to make a comment saying XX drama or character is better than XX character when their character or favourite drama have their flaws. Calling someone a crybaby just because they cry yet they can't apply the same to their favourite character they are defending is what I DON'T like since this is what you call having double standard and being unfair...

But if you do watch TLI, whenever that is, I hope you will enjoy it even if you have to take it as a standalone drama

Hi can anyone suggest some good ancient dramas to watch please? I am running out of choices.
In 2023, Back from the Brink, Love you Seven Times, The Journey of Chongzi. They all have happy ending.

If you haven't watched Ancient Love Poetry, then I recommend that one on my end

You should stick to the end at least in The Last Immortal.

Some may like ALP better for their preference and thats fine, but try not to compare the CGI etc between the two dramas.

Imo, having watched both dramas, I love them both on my end as they both have their own charm that I love.

The Last Immortal really showed how much the characters have grown in the end especially Yuanqi once his true god status awakened is when the angst starts.

I started off neutral on Yuanqi's character but as I continued watching TLI, I came to love and understand him better especially if I look at his back story from the novel, it's rather sad and is actually understandable why he felt the God Realm was a cold place. Tbh i felt sorry for him.

Yuanqi and Baijue are similar in a sense that they also have their differences.

But it's unfair if people go and judge Yuanqi harshly as he is still young at the beginning IMO.

I just realized something on my end OMG πŸ˜…

The name, Xuanyi and Xiuyan.... If you rearrange the letters, it's the same.

I only picked this up today because I was tirelessly replying to my online friend discussing about the episodes and then he was like "???" 🀣🀣🀣

For those who don't know, Xuanyi is the novel version of Mingqi. His name was changed in the drama to Mingqi (TLI).

Xuanyi is the Devil God in ALP, but from what I know, his character was portrayed differently to his novel character, as the God Realm (beginning arc) didn't happen in the Novel (Shang Gu)

Hong Yi and Yan Shuang were truly awesome friends. They didn't want to get married without Yuan Qi and didn't…
That's why I LOVE their friendship! Definitely very loveable and nice to see between them!

To be honest, years don't exactly equal power here. It all starts at the base. We don't know Bai Jue's background…
Read my previous reply to you and let it be the end to it.

I'm actually amazed how you come at me and not the others who did that to YQ first....But you know what, I'm done.

You can have your opinions and I'll stick to Mines for all said...

Not going to repeat myself for my reply to you...

Maybe you should scroll down the comment section and reply to those posts instead to stop dragging Bai Jue in and unfairly judge Yuanqi first!

For the record I love both Baijue and Yuanqi as ML in their respective stories.

Again, what I DONT LIKE (hence the purpose of my original comment), is ALP fans repeatedly coming in here to unfairly judge which shows their bias hate and dislike towards Yuanqi. They started it in the comment section FIRST. All I did was shed some light between the two, to show no character is perfect to be fair.

How come YQ is labelled a crybaby here when those times he cried it is understandable? BJ have cried in ALP too, did people label him as a crybaby? If they understand BJ, why can't they do the same for YQ?

Anyways I'm not going to repeat myself in reply to your comment since if I do I felt like it will just going to be a never ending loop.

My post was in response to the other post (as a whole) when they used the reference of Bai Jue being stronger and more powerful than Yuanqi hence the reference of the age part due to life experiences since they are comparing BJ being at least 60,000 years of age and life experiences and training to someone who is a few hundred and not even in his 1000 at the beginning of the drama. That is biasly unfair for YQ here when they start doing that... Hence reason for this post.

I'm not disagreeing that the background and how they are trained is different though and if people stop being bias against YQ and stop judging him so harshly for his age , since we've seen the growth in him from beginning to the end of the story then I won't be making this comparison to put it out there in the open....

I don't see the need to compare the powers for all said , and if only those people who is bias against YQ would only stop doing that...

They can choose who they love better, that's completely fine but it is the whole unfair judgment and biasly hating on YQ that I cannot stand seeing in the comment section.

starting to watch ALP... and I can say YQ is really really unfortunate true God, like everyone respect Bai jue…
The growth in Yuanqi from beginning to the end is what I love as well since you see how he's grown.

I can never dislike YQ even if he have flaws and have mistakes because I understood from his pov why he did what he did and and the situation that is placed on him.

Poor Yuanqi deserves a hug and I wish people will understand his perspectives more.

It's not like it's unreasonable when he feels that way about not wanting to return to God Realm at the beginning tbh.

For anyone who’s seen me comment during the drama airing knows I am a Yuan Qi apologist and now that I’ve…
I love Qing Mu too but to me he's just an extension to Baijue, just like how Houchi is to Shang Gu. They are a part (the side) to them where they just want to live the life they want away from all the responsibilities.

Personally I love Baijue and Shaggu in ALP as they are the complete version that includes Qing Mu and & Houchi.

I love Yuanqi on my end and he share similar qualities to his father, Bai Jue, but there are differences too and this is one of the things I love about Yuan Qi's character is that, although he know he doesn't have much time left, he really just simply want to spend those remaining moments with Feng Yin, so they can have those happy memories to look back to.

This is different to his father, Bai Jue, because respectively(each to their own) love the FL, in BJ perspectives, he thought that having his family hate him will be their strength to live on and move on without being heartbroken when he's gone. Since he didn't want the whole short time bliss leads to an long term suffering. Since they've been through it as Qing Mu and Houchi (ALP).

But Yuan Qi, in his own story shows us this in another light, where he didn't want to waste any moments away and he just simply want to create those happy memories together for Feng Yin, so that even if he's gone there won't be any regrets.

I think deep down Yuan Qi is subconsciously impacted by his father's decision and wish he didn't have to go that direction to make them(YQ and SG) hate him(BJ), because that left them with regrets when they found out the whole truth but is too late to go back to fix those regrets because they didn't know BJ real intentions and how much BJ loved them

Honestly they (Yuanqi and Baijue) are great ML in their respective story, and I love BOTH Bai Jue and Yuanqi here, because they both will do anything to protect the woman they love but have taken different paths to achieve it. If I have to choose here, although I understand BJ intentions were good, but I have to agree with Yuanqi decisions and what he's showing me, since I rather see some happy moments which leaves them happy memories without any regrets IF he have to "die"

I wish fans will give Yuanqi a chance and don't just judge him just from the first few episodes because Yuanqi is a character that will certainly grow on you, if not at the beginning then by the end.

Yeah I actually thought that YQ age will be older than 200 when TLI started but looks like from what was revealed in the DRAMA, this was changed. Still it is unfair to compare Baijue being over 100K years old to his son being not even 1000 years old at the beginning of the drama though.

Yeah it is really sad. That is why in my review I focus mentioning more on YQ (ML) because it is something viewers should understand more about the character and not going into the drama biasly disliking him and not having an open mind to see it from his pov.

Title The Last Immortal Spoiler
Got to say in episode 40,
I really love how ZLS(Actress) play out her emotions when she went up to hug YuanQi after he sacrificed his Chaos Origin to seal MingQi in Episode 40. The way she was shaking and her emotions in that scene really played out very well. Her fear in losing him is evidently shown through her emotions in that scene, and I honestly when she told him "Let's go back to Daze Mountain", it really emphasize just how much that place meant to both of them... But in the end, when he dissipated, although we know he will come back in the end, but IN THAT MOMENT that scene really hurts....😭😭 I personally love how that scene was played out through their emotions, how although they have won that battle, but they have lost someone important (Yuanqi) as well.

Back then how Yuanqi hugged A-Yin like she is his most precious, before she dissipated, I cried 😭😭😭 in that final episode when Feng Yin did the same to Yuanqi, I cried too 😭😭😭

Despite this not being a "heavy drama", the casts really did a great job in bringing out our emotions like that.
