Sadly, I agree. For me, there was zero chemistry between the leads, the story was uninteresting/silly and the ML always appeared awkward and ill at ease. Perhaps this is what they were going for but it felt like a “Hallmark” production to me with little appeal.

Sigh, I will diverge here from others comments….but this script is not good at all. Initially, I thought it seemed like it was written by a teenager but now I think that would be an insult to the intellect of modern day teenagers. The “grandmas’s” company would never have become as successful as implied if this is how she runs things and the amount (or lack there of) that she puts into finding her granddaughter or overseeing business deals and relationships.

This is more about the establishment of the ML and FL’s businesses than their relationship or even relationships with villagers. I know it is short format but it is so basic and childish. So much incompetence, pettiness and ridiculous behavior. I’ll finish off the last two episodes so I can see how they wrap (rush) everything into a pretty little bow and how the FL just forgives the ridiculous grandma who has no ethics or integrity whatsoever. Oh but she is purportedly wealthy that should make up for how poorly she treats people and her business relationships (not).

Well, I believe her behavior in H.S. is supposed to be funny??? but she just seems outlandish, bizarre and somewhat reckless to me. That is just my opinion of course.

Is a story about the grim reaper (your old love interest) meant to be a realistic plot? In general, I agree with you but realism is not something dramas typically pursue. More often than not the same actress plays a teenager AND a full fledged adult. The difference between the look of the two is typically only the hairstyle. Pigtails or ponytails on the women playing teenagers and the school uniform. This isn’t exclusive to this drama or this actress but it still isn’t “realistic”. Not even close.

Well, I’ve made it through the first two but it just isn’t for me. I don’t find it humorous just strange and the FL character weird. I know opposites attract (right?) but this is a bit out there. Whatever happened with the ML she feels responsible and regretful. I get it but the methodology of explaining it just isn’t interesting to me.

Helpful lol, really? Continuing to put faith in and make deals with unethical characters thereby jeopardizing the entire business is nice and those people are understandable? Good for you and I wish you the best in life. Just because I dislike characters that are weak doesn’t mean I like abusive ones. That’s a tremendous assumption and you know what they say about those who assume, right?

So sad the show is experiencing a lack of logic.

This is becoming illogical and quite frankly stupid. One person may do ridiculous things or even two but all these incompetent or plainly nasty people all independently mashing up is a stretch. The ML is being a patsy which doesn’t make him nice or sweet or endearing, just dumb. For me that is not attractive.

The acting was so over-the-top, so overdone, like an old timey Vaudeville play.

Thank God as Shao’s body could have gotten pregnant. Hmmmm but maybe it did and the baby moved when the soul’s moved back at the end. Maybe they just think the baby stayed in Zhao. We’ll never know.
