I’m not sure what’s happened to my dwindling excitement? Dare I say it’s becoming bland? Or just really off?

I thought this was off to a promising start and had potential to be a drama subverting all cliches. There was something raw in the realism but the writers have no idea what to do after you see the leads ‘get together’.

The best part is seeing all the non-lead couple relationships but I’ve got a nasty feeling they won’t be as well developed as I hope it’ll be. And I wish seol ah was more than a petty ex portrayed- she could’ve been so much more & maybe help us see jae eon as more than a 1-D ML?!

Idk maybe as I trudge through the final episodes I’ll be in a better position to assess. Anyone else got similar feels?

fun escapist show! i liked how they hinted at actual idol issues in the industry and that's the frustration- it had so much more potential to go in a bit deeper. dare I say I wish this show had a few more episodes and made la ri ma a more central character!

other than that, unexpectedly found myself loving the songs and it was a fun watch to tune in weekly.

Title Snowdrop
OP spotted Jisoo filming snowdrop, why is it taking so long TT
Probably cause they want the ‘backlash’ to die down before airing it- it resulted from Joseon Exorcist being cut due to historical inaccuracies protest by people. Since then they’ve received statements to reassure viewers and have made a few changes to be doubly sure they won’t harm the history (although they were sure to honour it in the first place)

Not a bad thing if it led to them pre-producing & making sure it’s all filmed before airing! Super hyped for this though!

I agree with you ,, the first two episodes made me think of a lot of ways this drama can be great but it wasn't…
You’ve summed it up! I’m a sucker for campus/ coming of age type stories but this one had a dull romance. And little to non-existent development or plot for the side characters. I freaking love the non-lead characters and I love it when they write stories about them haha.

I get that group work can be frustrating but why are they always sources of horror in drama-world lol. The bullying depicted here was odd as if they wanted to give the FL the classic trope of ‘let’s pity her more because she’s traumatised and therefore suitable to couple up with the ML meaningfully’

reply 1994 spoilers below for my junwan x iksun theory
in reply 1994, na jung x sseureki went through a rocky long distance relationship and broke up as a result of it. communication dwindled between them and huge life events that happened, were never shared with each other. similar to junwan x iksun.

if the writer is going to go down a similar route to their previous work, then we are heading towards a junwan x iksun reunion.

I have mixed feelings about this show.

I really liked the initial campus vibe and there was some interesting character setups in the beginning. But somehow along the way, it lost its potential to be compelling.

The main trio have awesome chemistry but it feels outdated the way it decided to go down the romance route- not against it but I’m not keen on the execution as it kinda halted on key character development. And I’m not too sure about the depiction of ML’s family trauma. I figured to see the resolution this week.

FYI although I’ve not read the webtoon, I’m aware of key plot details/ features being omitted from comments. However my thoughts have come from a perspective of simply tuning in as a viewer.

They might as well give up making this- there’s already been enough drama in the making of.

I think eun byul is likely to be pretending she has memory loss. There’s a couple of brief moments where her eyes are shining- a) at the end of the confrontation with rona & b) when seo jin rips rona’s audition letter (from Ep 7’s preview looks like rona gets to audition as she ends up in conflict with seo jin)

I know this may be wishful thinking but there always a ‘double track’ or hidden meaning to dialogue or scenes from a specific character POV. Seo jin told eun byul to basically get over her trauma herself & hesitated giving her drugs. I know we see teacher jin injecting drugs but nothing is ever what it seems! Last season, EB eventually remembered what happened in the end and it seems repetitive to make her go through a similar arc without a serious twist.

Also this is the same girl we saw in the first season who was the true culprit behind blackmailing seo jin with her grandpa’s death! EB has it in her to deal with her mother- she’s just sadly in a mentally fragile place atm. I know she’s kinda hasn’t paid her dues with what happened with rona but she keeps being thrown around with obsessive parenting and manipulation by all these adults around her. Her dad is up to god knows what and I kinda wanna see yoon chul man up lol and take EB away or something.

Lastly, EB witnessed her mum kill OYH. The one adult who actually wanted to help her. There’s also a slim chance she heard seok gyung is SSR’s blood-daughter. The fact she holds all these key bits of info is important and it’ll lead to seo jin’s downfall- ironic how all she’ll ever want was the best for her daughter eh.
