I have LUNA's songs on repeat and it was a classic story that was executed well. It's been so long since I enjoyed a fun series, full of cliches. A very good and light watch 🥰

I think that's the webtoon's name! Heard it was a popular series so perhaps they've kept the original title for home audiences and changed it for international release (as I'm not sure if it's as widely available/ translated in English)

It’s definitely not makjang blood boiling like Penthouse, Sky Castle or TWOTM, Sky Castle etc. it’s more wholesome family comedy with a sprinkling of genuine heartwarming moments. It’s less about revenge but instead more about Uncle’s unique ways of dealing with the Momvelies, the ex in-law.
The kids aren’t annoying or terrible like the shows I mentioned above. Sure there is a bullying case but there’s a lot of depth to the kids and they aren’t all bad.
It’s mainly about how the good guys win- there’s a couple of setbacks but I think that’s normal to create a more interesting show. At the core of it, it’s about family and does highlight key societal issues like elite education or how we ostracise parents with difficult pasts in society.

Wang Joon Hee, Wang Joon Hyuk and Min Ji Hoo are the goods guys, the protagonists of the show. This is a story about them, a family as Uncle, Uncle's sister/ Ji Hoo's mother and Nephew, Joon Hyuk's son.
Joo Kyung Il is a good guy too, a neighbour with a complex and sad past that befriends and helps the Wang family. The show makes you guess whether he's a good or bad guy.
Song Hwa Yum is a teacher and Joon Hee's No. 1/ first fan when Uncle won a singing reality TV show as J King. She is a true ally in the series.
Also good is housewife Kim You Ra, initially was an antagonist and part of the Momvelies (I'll explain below) but shows amazing character growth and becomes an ally.
The main antagonists are he Momvelies are a group of super-rich, super-catty housewives who are super-extra lol and are led by the lead antagonist Park Hey Ryung. The first half focuses on their antics and how the Wang family deals with them.
The second half now focuses on the other bad gus- Shin Hwa Ja and Min Kyung Soo (Joon Hyuk's ex mother in law and husband) who are looking for Joon Hyuk and Ji Hoo.
Finally, a shoutout to the bar crew who basically forms the extended family- Jang Ik (bar owner) and his daughter + boyfriend- Jang Yeon Joo and Ju No.
Ep 11-12 was beautifully done, from a long-awaited reunion to Ung's backstory and the excellently chosen episode titles as always! ❤️ I've never rooted for a main couple this hard before and maaan did those episodes catch me in the feels, I was crying throughout it.
