Rough start so I put it on hold and glad I’ve come back to revisit this one! I can’t remember the last time I was having so much fun watching a series! The leads are comedy and chemistry gold 😍

Title Our Beloved Summer Spoiler
The part where they start to negotiate being friends was very intresting and unexpected, truly a stage of grief.…
Haha it was entertaining to watch them trying to do ‘friend things’ but then they would try to cover it up. I thought it was progress for Yeon Su to admit her feelings to her Grandma.

Offt I have a feeling we’ve got a tiny bit more angst coming but I ain’t complaining if it gets wrapped up sooner 😉

I really appreciate seeing the journey of our two leads, and how it isn't a quick event where they meet years later > kiss > get back together.

It's more nuanced as we see them slowly understand the effects of their breakup years ago, and the feelings they may still have for each other. They're trying to work out what place each other can have in their lives, and it's not easy. I like how we also see the impact on their close friends and family from witnessing their relationship.

It's like watching them going through the 'stages of grief', where they've started to negotiate being 'friends'. And as we our leads grow, we also see others romantically interested in them too. It's all leading to whether they choose to receive closure and move on OR to decide being together again,

Now, I know which option I'm leaning towards... Looking forward to seeing the choice Ung and Yeon-Su will make too!

Lmao they got away with so many gags and innuendo 🤣 The comedy combined with a heartfelt plot and lovely ensemble cast, this is a very entertaining fun watch.

the cover really doesn't catch the mood of the drama at all.
It's one of the reasons why I put off watching this drama for such a long time! Netflix cover posters are awful lmao

Person Lee Jun Ho
Probably one of the most legendary and successful military comebacks I've ever seen 🙌

Haha, it’s cause JTBC are awful at promoting their own dramas 😅 So many of their series lately have flown…
Lol sounds about right! It'll be interesting to see what they do in the snowdrop aftermath. They need to stop gambling on 'we've got big names so people should tune in' because it's starting to backfire

True! I think another issue is how they’ve also been weird/ inconsistent with which streaming platforms they’d shows are available on too. They don’t seem to be as exposed as other network dramas.

does joy have a partner in this drama? I dont mind if she's not the female lead or the centered character in this…
It’s a bit too early to tell! We see she has a close guy friend in the first two episodes who may become her romantic interest later on in the series 🙂 although on MDL, Han Gyu Won is listed as her boyfriend in the cast list.

Title Snowdrop
Is this drama not on any streaming platform at the moment?
It’s on Disney+ but in select Asian/ Pacific countries with it arriving in other countries in 2022 (likely after the whole season’s been aired)

Wow 😭 Thanks MBC for the extension but I’ve started 2022 as a weeping mess lol

This ended in a breathtakingly beautiful and heart-wrenching way. One of the most compelling stories I’ve watched in a long time. The way this series evokes emotion was so sincere from the direction, OST to the excellent all-round acting.

Now, how to heal this chasm in my heart … 💔
