I have The Glory on my to watch list as well. I know its good but was afraid of getting in the genre itself (the darkness and suspense) especially after all the high and sweetness in TSL.

So I'm following Road Home instead which like TSL, has a lot of non-toxic human relationships and warm-heartedness. Main couple is also overload with maturity and sweetness. I think it was just what I needed although I still have TSL withdrawals.

In Wanliang, YT also demand that he buy her stuff as her future husband and then called him a penniless god. Lol YT definitely traumatized him on their first meeting, and he then later proves himself as WenRen and Mei YQ(Heartless). 🤭

Love the cause and effects in this drama.

Love his face when he replay that scene in his desire spheres. Lol poor YQ. Never in his thousands years of existence did he felt so mortified.
Every disadvantages that YT listed out in marrying him was irrefutable too. His ego took a huge K.O.

Exactly! Its like some people skip scenes in the first episode or they can't empathize with her being imprisioned and being treated unfairly her whole life. The writer gave clear reason for her behaviors. If she doesn't act like that to protect herself, how should she act? Be the typical jealous, evil sister? Behaving nice on the outside but backstabbed people in the back? STG either way, people can't be satisfy. So double standard.

For me its when she said, "You're 2,700 years old and still want a wife? I'm so young and beautiful but have to marry an old wringly man." How many FLs out there make fun of the obvious but not so often mentioned, age difference of Immortals in Xianxia dramas beside YT and BQ in Eternal Love as a way to get rid of their marriage partner? From that point on I knew this would be epic. Lol

Landi really look gorgeous in ancient costumes. I can't wait to watch this and I hope she does more costume dramas in the future

First impression: most of the casts are from "I Will Never Let You Go" but the main leads here doesn't grab my attention as much as Ariel Lin and Vin Zhang did in IWNLYG. Nothing particularly stand out. lol I'm on the fence on whether to continue... I'll watch a few more episodes and make my decision. Maybe I will finish it just to pass time.

Edit: If theres anything that stands out, its WenXiu who spent 30 episodes plotting against the FL for every single competition, it was getting pretty repetitive so I'm like meh I'm skipping. Lol she is one of the most annoying and jealous female villain I've seen, like to the point that she lost all sanity and character. Shes suppose to be this rich, young lady who since young has properly been taught etiquette, but she completely act like a sore loser, no grace at all and only uses underhanded means every single time. She stoops so low and shamelessly, her reputation in shambles and her family forsakes her. sigh~ this drama could've been cut down to 25ish episode tbh.

CXX is so interesting. I feel like a slight change in makeup and hairstyle can turn him into a totally different person and character. From straight-up villain to swooning hero, there's no limit to his versatility and the more you look at him the more handsome he gets. He's an all-round powerhouse! I'm so looking forward to his next drama.

Here wishing she stays in good health and not be like many other female idols after becoming popular, start to go on strict diet and become abnormally thin. I think her face and body weight right now is perfect and very cute.

I just want to share for those who are still suffering from TSL withdrawals, the drama Road Home. It doesn't completely help me move on but its mature intimate love story and warm-heartedness are definitely worth transitioning to. From one perfect swoon-worthy ML to another, this drama fits the bill.

Lol I never thought much about this either. The grief was just hitting everyone really hard, especially YT. She was in total denial after QK's death. She tried to believe they havent even started their journey to DongQiu yet, so her sister didn't die and her YQ wouldn't be taken. I think although she didn't say it, she was thinking of ways to avenge QK right after. She knew where YQ and CF are, with her powerless, no way she can charge in blindly to rescue them. When her power came back, the best place to start was the Voids because she can absorb the impurity there then plan her rescue/attack to Heaven.

I always kept in mind that like QK, YT is also extremely intelligent (she just lack the education that she should have) but is more scheming/cunning (not in an evil way) and is talented in magic. So her not specifically crying for her hubby like some helples damsel in distress albeit the grief and quietly holding in the rage plus everything (like all her previous years of torture), calmly planning her next moves was true to her character. Honestly she was like a slow time bomb waiting to explode while YQ was not there, waiting to rain hellfire on those who hurt her loved ones.

I like reading everyone comments even after the drama had ended. It really help curb the withdrawals. You guys said this drama have great characters development and many bonds between each characters which I couldn't agree more.

Beside the sisterly bond and bickering brother-in-laws bond, I specifically like the bond between YT and CF as she start to respect him as her JieFu (older sister's husband/brother-in-law) and he also take himself as the older brother to YT often referring to her as XiaoYiZi (younger sister-in-law/wife's sister). CF trust in YT that she will rescue him and avenged her sister add so much more to that whole Voids takeover episode.

Same with QK and YQ, although they dont bicker nor address each other with specific honorifics/titles like the other two, but you can see YQ respect QK as his wife's older sister and as an older sister-in-law where he was a bit afraid of her as well lol. QK also subtly from earlier on treated him as her younger sister's husband, as seen when she was with La Mu.

Throughout the show, QingHeng and ZiWu also very much respect and address YT as their SaoSao/SaoZi (Older sis-in-law/Older brother's wife). It just so adorable.

The relationship between these characters are GOLD and will last in my memory for a long time to come.

My impression thus far... While the story is intriguing and has a lot of emotional depth, I do not ship the FML with either MLs. Lol I find both kinda toxic. The aesthetic and OSTs of this drama is also very nice- grim but beautiful. That said, it is not the kind of drama I would rewatch nevertheless it is a good one that deserve mention in the Wuxia genre.

Just a thought- I like Wan Mei but I think Liu Quang is the prettiest out of all the characters in this drama.

Can anyone explain to me what is "The Honey Trilogy"? Is it just the dramas having the same Screenwriter? I know I watched Ashes of Love but I haven't watched Skate into Love yet. Trying to decide if I should. I wonder why a modern drama is part of this trilogy and if theres any other connection between the 3 dramas story-wise.

Totally agreed with her about the center lightning on those kiss scenes, I noticed it a while back too. I'm like is there no other way to shoot those? The actors/actress and scenes would look so much better without those lights getting in the way. lol
