Unfortunately, he is. I didn't like that they tried to redeem him at the end, because NOT ONCE throughout the drama, he truly shows that he care about YQ's physical and emotional state. All he wanted was a pawn to manipulate and maintain his power. Instead of redeeming this chara, I wish they have given more scenes to our girls revival.
But I like that this is the first xianxia where Heaven Mother actually divorced pos Heaven Father. lol really refreshing.

You're right! I have mad respect for YT, the girl dares to love and hate. She has clear distinction of right and wrong and know exactly who to go after to seek justice/revenge. I'm glad they portray her denials after QK death, it shows her inner struggle even if she had a hardened life, nothing really prepare her for this level of pain of losing her closest kin, like with Man Man.

Her personality and how she acts has a lot to do with her upbringing but you should have had a glimpse of it in the first episode. Pretty much in the 18 years she lived, half was in prison and half on house arrest with people hating on her for no reason. No adult ever patiently taught her either and she was seriously mistreated. Her sister was the only human kind to her along with the 2 loyal friends she made from the beast tribe.
The fact that she can still have such an uplifting personality without any hate or malice despite all that, I never find it annoying at all. She is so precious as a character. Watching her is such a delight.
If you think about it, the two princesses actually married into the right realm. Ye Tan would be able to fight the Voidswalker to protect Heaven as she can absorb voids energy while Qing Kui can also save Voidswalkers by sucking energy from Immortals. Ofc they would have to live separately in each realm to not start up GuiXu/Chaos together. Everything would've balance out powerwise without any death if the two dumb emperors weren't so narrowminded and despicable. They lost two powerful daughter-in-laws that would've been great asset to keep each realm in check. Tsk tsk
