I kinda hope they don't go typical jealous friend trope here. She's clearly jealous but I want her to grow out of it.

It's actually a very balanced show. But it's surprising in many ways as well. The story is so good, and not what I had expected at all.

True. Everything is too extreme.

I did think that Shiyi neglected her nephew. She acknowledges the mistake later. But he's an innocent kid who does need protection in the family.

But Shiyi was too focused on her mother's killer to care for her stepson and nephew. I don't think she had any feelings for her older sister. Not hate but a general apathy. They barely knew one another.

And so Shiyi didn't seem very interested in her sister's sickness and the cause.

Eventually she does learn from her mistake. But her nephew is an example of when she's not as caring as she should have been.
