What they censored? Also censorship has been existing for a long time, if you are a good story teller at this…
Strictly my personal preferences… I can’t disagree with you neither. I do appreciate my men to be strong and virile. The pearly skinned-flower boys looking ones are definitely not my penchant.

Who darned knows anymore… Different types of reincarnation, transmutation, transfiguration… The newest ones were about the leading male leads should look more masculine and less feminine.
In a nutshell, they should not look too handsome. (Add some mustaches and a broken tooth here and there🤣😅😂).

I gave 2 examples. One is a Xianxia BL adaptation. And the other one is a straight up Wuxia. The insane regulations are not only directed at BL adaptations.

Easier said than done… Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities took forever to release because of editing and re-editing, over and over again. If the government is coming with new rules and new sanctions every other week, are you quite certain that it would be easy for the writers and the directors to work around them…? Perfect examples, Immortality - We are still waiting from the last trillion newest sanctions. The Wolf - That drama got edited so excessively that the finale storyline was completely different from the starting point.
Once again… A would-have-been great costume drama ruined by the famously insane Chinese Censorship Bureau. The forced editing is so crazy that the storyline is missing lengthy sections here and there… There and here… The ding drama is playing peek-a-boo with me😳… What a shame. I can sense some great backbones through their polka-dots storyline. I am a fan of the 3 main leads so I will be a trooper and stay a while longer.
I am changing this classic idiom of… “Two's company, three's a crowd.” For “Three’s company, four’s a crowd.”
This drama is the newest-evolved, updated or the classic irritating case where the fourth character, Liu Ran, is literally decreasing the value of the production. I might actually pause or drop this show all-together; simply because of her. Liu Ran’s audacious character just irritates me.
PS: I was so excited to see 2 favorite actor and actress from Joy of Life; however in this one, Liu Ran’s character is doing a 180 on me.
I think his character did not have much to do with the acting because most of the time he was only required to…
Then you should check Ever Night season 1. The kid was simply phenomenal in it. It was a massive mistake not to have him come back for the second season.
Talking about of an unexpected gem, enclosed in layers of pure gold… This drama deserves a much higher rating. The entire production is worthy to be on the silver-screen. A stunning cinematographic piece.
Fyi: Arthur’s clear improvements were also fully noted (His acting skills got very much sharpen)… Compared to his last fiasco, Legend of Awakening.
After watching the third episode I wouldn't say that I find it particularly violent but rather boring. Keep in…
Same here! I waited a long time to watch this supposedly dark thriller because same as you; I am an avid fan of this particular genre. However, what a disappointment… Exactly, how a director and scriptwriters managed to make a bloody gory thriller boring?
I feel the same, 2 episodes in and poor writing is really bugging me although the plot seems to be picking up…
The writing behind the characters is off and the directing is also off. I was intrigued by the dark synopsis at first and Yoon Kye Sang’s general good acting skills from his previous works… However, the execution on this one is simply dull. I just reached episode 2 and I am already bored.
This drama isn't a romance. In my opinion, the lack of romantic chemistry is intentional! The romance could take…
“Gorgeous” is definitely not the word that came to my mind while watching their interactions🤣🤣🤣. More like… Irrelevant, borderline obnoxious and utterly boring. (The white cat had a better character than that actress).
However, it is a good thing that you have enjoyed it.
They’ll change the actress next season, also Qing Niao’s actress
This was the second time that I have seen this actress in a costume drama. The first one was in one of those dreaded “Fluffy” costume dramas; which, I dropped because of her. And the second is in this one, a serious Wuxia/Xianxia drama; where, she is not even remotely on the same caliber as the rest of the cast.
I swallowed up those first 4 episodes like, freshly baked hot cakes.
I can’t disagree with you neither.
I do appreciate my men to be strong and virile.

Great 3 leading main cast…
A truly waste of a script!

I will sound redundant if I add anything more.
Gold Panning is worthy of a cinéma noir du bon vieux temps.
This drama deserves a much higher rating.

I dropped it as well.
That is sad; they could not keep the viewers to remain attentive with only 2 episodes… Let alone 10…
I am watching Chimera, instead. It is not the greatest thriller out there; however, bloody better than this one.
I waited a long time to watch this supposedly dark thriller because same as you; I am an avid fan of this particular genre.

Is the first DramaLand mystery of 2022🤣🤣🤣.
It is simply an universal mystery. The entire world is asking, WHY?
The first one was in one of those dreaded “Fluffy” costume dramas; which, I dropped because of her.
And the second is in this one, a serious Wuxia/Xianxia drama; where, she is not even remotely on the same caliber as the rest of the cast.
This actress needs serious work.
