First of all, it is not that i don't believe in Destiny... It is just for me; destiny is not everything. The entire concept of basing a relationship solely on destiny is ludicrous to me. The urge and the involuntary desire to be constantly around that persone for whom you are yearning for... Is one thing. Agreeing to marry that person after one single dinner and six months of reciprocated emails... Is a different thing.
Yes, i wanted them to be finally together; however, i wanted to see a beautiful and meaningful courtship, like in You Are My Glory. Not some dreadfully awkward interactions between 2 characters who are day-and-night different from their Wuxia counterparts.
Same here, and the eps were elongated just too much. It could have also been 24 eps. Just to increase the time,…
I have no idea about their whole affair with reincarnations. I was planning on reading the novel after reading its synopsis. However, after starting Forever and Ever; i decided that the novel didn't worth my time.
According to a number of my friends who have read the novel, One and Only is superior than the novel (Itself) and the writing behind Forever and Ever.

I am currently trying to watch this sequel and i just do not like it. Most likely because of the great intensity and the vivid dynamic of the prequel; i am finding the plot, in this one, is extremely uninteresting and rather bizarre with the abrupt marriage proposal and acceptance. I just can't figure out WHY the 2 main leads are in love with each other... Other than, it is their destiny based on their unfulfilled pastlife's romance.
This sequel has the exact issue that i had with Lovers of the Red Sky. I am not finding the reasons why they are in love.

I was agreeing with you... 1000% and more. I seriously could not recognize the Allen Ren whom i have learned to know and love in that sequel. It was like watching a novice actor in his first leading project.

What mannerism? His character was lacking everything to make him a character... And a lead character, at that... His character was night and day when compared to the prequel.
Tyvm :). The novel has some beautiful prose but its also slow and Shiyi is like an ancient woman in the 21st century...…
I tried to watch it on Y..tube but it was already disabled by the administration.
Fyi: My sincere recognitions to the screenwriter (s) or scriptwriter (s) of One and Only. They took the bits and pieces from the novel to creat a splendid-magical televised Wuxia production.

😅🤣😂 That is exactly what i have been doing. I had to speed up some scenes... Ok, many scenes...
In One and Only, they had my complete attention from episode 1 to episode 24. However in Forever and Ever, i am having difficulty focusing on watching their modern love story. Although it is a passable love story but in terms of intensity and synergy when compared to the Wuxia counterpart; this modern one just falls short... Right on the margins of being boring... Remind you... There were absolutely no kissing scenes between our main leads in the prequel. All of their palpable and vivid chemistry was only conveyed with their eyes, their gestures, the tones of their voices and their subtle physical interactions.
So very well said!👍 I am only in episode 4 and i am already bored as hell. The only 2 similarities between the Wuxia counterpart and the modern one... Are the 2 main leads' names and facial features. I was going to read the novel; however solely because of Forever and Ever... I am completely OK to just have watched One and Only.

Exactly. I don't understand why the story of their modern lifetime failed to achieve the intensity and the complexity of their Wuxia counterpart? While in the novel, that was a very small part of the storyline.
I am not sure of what exactly I was expecting from the sequel of the heart-wrenching and beautiful One and Only,…
Exactly my thoughts. In One and Only, they had my complete attention from episode 1 to episode 24. However in Forever and Ever, i am having difficulty focusing on watching their modern love story. Liked it! The whole story just gets more built up from episode 1-5, then at the last quarter of ep 6, we finally…
👍 Exactly what I thought. There were absolutely nothing divine when those 3 creatures were taking those people to hell. Those were straight-up pure murders. Just as horrible as those extremists violently beating people and incinerating them while still alive.
I completely agree with you. I don’t quite comprehend why this drama has such a low rating. For me, taking it as the first part of, hopefully, a longer storyline drama… It was well made. How we interpret human’s laws, religious and dogmatic beliefs differ from one person to the next.
What I am getting from that entire synopsis is… If anyone (Loved ones or not) is willing to die for or with the condemned person (Like that innocent newborn baby)… Then, there is still salvation for humanity. Thus, with the selfless sacrifice of that young couple for their baby; the past condemned ones are coming back to life.
I think that was a great premise for the next season.
...I knew I'd regret watching this as it is going on and I do regret it...Kieta HatsukoiUtsukushii KareBad Buddy...…
You know a show is good… When you don’t mind watching it on Y..Tube, even-though; each episode is divided into 4 parts. The chemistry, the synergy and the dynamic between Pran and Pat’s characters are perfect. If it weren’t for their respective friends and parents, the writing and the storyline could have easily gave “I Told Sunset About You” a run for their money.
That first episode was a bit shaky… However, the second episode is so much better. They most definitely got my interest. Really good chemistry and really good synergy between our 2 boys. For some reasons, I am getting a SOTUS + Addicted’s vibes from our 2 boys.

I just finished watching it.
I loved the Ever Night season 1 subliminal parts. (Yes, EN 1 is one of my favorite Wuxias.)

This drama showed us how easily humans can be manipulated because of their fear of the unknown.
