Yeahhhhh It is weird to watch him in The Long Ballad. Every time that he shows up in a scene; I am waiting for him to ask for some fried rice and money.
Someone asked me today why I'm attracted to Haodu more than to Asun. Told her that I knew Asun as Fei Liu(NIF)…
I am on the other side of that spectrum... My problem with Liu Yuning is that after watching him in The Lost Tomb: Ultimate Note’s installment as fried rice Mr. Glasses; I just can not take him seriously. It is really bizarre to watch him taking on a dark, obsessive and enamored character, after that. LOL
As for Leo, if we are not younger than 18 years old, he will always be the adorable little namdongsaeng to us, his noonas. No matter how enticing his physique and his looks have become...
I don't think he lost feelings for Bas per say. This is my humble opinion though, maybe I'm trying to justify…
That last scenes showed their respective growths in so many ways... Teh - Even-though he did not get in to the university that he wanted... He could have been upset at Oh-Aew after he relinquished his early admission to him... For Oh-Aew not making use of it... Teh still went with him to the farthest tip on the cape because a promise was made between them. Oh-Aew - For realizing that one can not force anyone to love you just because you love them... Their forever rivalry, painful or not, actually paved a clearer road for Oh-Aew’s future...
*To me, the most beautiful form of love is the one without any expectations or any promises. That is a pure, genuine and matured love when one does not expect anything in return. And that is Oh-Aew’s final epiphany. “You do or be whatever you want... I can take anything... As long as you don’t disappear, again.”
This piece of art is just beyond amazing! No words! It redefines, deconstructs and reshapes OVERLY DONE BL-storyline…
Best cinematographic piece of 2020... And I mean in all categories! The Oscars (The Academy Awards) very much need to start including televised and web dramas in their nominations. I Told Sunset About You certainly deserves the highest praise.
Wow... The gods were literally messing with both of them. Sometimes, I do have that urge to shout at the sky... “Can you freaking get this right, already?” Dew gives me that same feeling.
Maybe... Hopefully in their next lifetime, they will finally have the chance to be together.

You are completely right. You are not wrong. Bas was a school-boy’s infatuation for Oh-Aew . A school crush... Teh, on the other hand, is a force of nature... For Oh-Aew, not being around Teh is like going against the gravitational force. It is literally impossible. And vice versa...
I always put I Told Sunset About You and Gaya sa Pelikula when it comes to realistic dramas. But then again some…
So true... Every microscopic detail was meant to be there.
The way Teh went from hating anything coconut related to getting utterly confused about why he was finding himself addicted to Oh-aew’s scent. I was like, baby-boy is not his coconut smell that you love but his pheromone... That first part was simply beautifully written and produced. The most realistic BL that I have watched after Addicted.
I can not wait for the second part. Different universities, different friends, different entourage... The human heart is known to be fickle... Let see if my boys can sustain all the pressures of university life.

I am with you. I simply do not have enough words to describe how “I Told Sunset About You” was beautifully and impeccably executed... Part 1 was only 5 episodes; however, it was so poignant and so realistic. I was speechless by the directing and the cast.
My heart just shattered when Teh asked “Would that be ok to have 2 male protagonists?” The pain in his voice breaks my heart. Usually, I don’t particularly like high school BL; however just like HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count... I Told Sunset About You is really really really well made. Teh and Oh-aew’s chaotic emotions and attractions for each other feel like a Russian roulette. And their struggles to learn about themselves and to accept their preferences are palpable.
On top of all those, they gave us that last intimate scene in episode 3... It was not explicit but the phenomenal emotions these 2 young actors conveyed were enough to set the tv on fire.
The script and the characterisations are not good. Its a pity bc I like everything else and especially the martial…
The choreographed fighting sequences are nice. I really enjoyed the early episodes with his parents and the junior master. After their deaths, the writing became rather dull.
I have not enjoyed a BL drama that much since Addicted, SOTUS and HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count... It was really well made. I want a season 3, 4, 5 and so on...
Kudos to all the actors and the director. We Best Love gave us the best kiss that I have seen in a BL drama.
Like father, like son... Stupidity runs in the family.
I am not sure which one is worse... The unconvincing and horrible young male lead’s acting or the atrocious writing of the male lead’s character? I will give this a few more episodes. If the ML acting and character presentation do not improve, pioneered modern Wuxia or not... This will be a drop!
Fyi: Episode 4 (14:18) and I can see the camera crew filming with all of their equipments. How could they possibly missed that, during editing?
Imagine being the 21th century production behind the first ever adaptation of the very first Wuxia historical drama, credited as being the pioneer of modern Wuxia in the 20th century... If this sucks, everyone would be out to get your skins...
*This adaptation is historical in itself. Let see...
Now I understand why Oliver Chen was superbly astuce at being devious and manipulative with his role of Li Cheng Yin/Gu Xiao Wu - the 5th Prince, in Goodbye My Princess... He had plenty of practice with his role as Yang Kang, in The Legend of the Condor Heroes (2017).

As for me, I recently finished Ultimate Note; therefore, his fried rice Mr. Glasses’s character is too fresh in my mind.
This is how I adjust myself.
And that is enough for me to cut down the weirdness.
