I like this series. I can def see they're falling in love with each other. For Yo, they've shown it since ep 4 I believe : heart racing, staring at Jom, being interested in Jom's work, understanding Jom's values... But it's more subtle with Jom : he spends a lot of time with Yo, he seeks his presence, he likes to tease him, he's affectionate with him. I feel like he's giving special treatment to Yo. As Jom is older, the village chief and Yo's guardian, it would be quite problematic for this grown man with power to be interested in a younger guy in his care too quickly. I like that they're not forcing it, they're letting feelings set in slowly and realistically. They're depicting three stages of their relationship : from guardian/protege to friends and then lovers. I'm not a huge fan of slow burn but I totally get it for MSJ. I understand people are getting bored now cause they want to see them together, but I don't think it's the main point of the story. For me MSJ is about Yo maturing in a new environment and stepping up to show Jom he can count on him; and for Jom it's admitting that Yo isn't a kid and he's free to love him. Mind you, I haven't read the novel, so it's all my interpretation.
This is exactly what's lacking Thai BLs, "GOOD WRITING"! It's only 30mins eps but feels like so much more. Great…
"Ouin ouin thai bls". Forgetting there were and still are good thai bls out there. Why the need to always drag thai bls to compliment other bls ? Yet, you all still watch thai bls😒😒.
I’m struggling to follow “Sorn Math.”If he has a trauma about the age gap due to what happened with the…
Since the event with his ex, Sorn swore he'd never be interested in someone younger. But a couple years later he met Jun and they spend every summer together with Thai and Champ (until he disappeared). He developed a crush on Jun during these summers spent together bickering (4 summers IIRC). He doesn't want to love him but he's lusting on him like crazy. That's why he couldn't resist temptation when he saw Jun in the koi pond garden. And years later, he wasn't thinking clearly when he made the deal of being Jun's sex teacher lol. Jun is one of the reason he came back in Bangkok to work with Thai. He can't stay away from him.
they reheated semantic error’s nachos there are soooo many similarities i can pick on as someone whose rewatched…
Lol, come on. I love SE but let's not do that. What dialogue and scenes are identical to SE ? Which scenes reference SE ? In what way the main characters act like the ML in SE ? They're so obviously different you've been doing gymnastic to come up with your lie.
"The story doesn't exist and the characters are made of cardboard", yet you continue it to see Sorn suffers ?…
I wasn't expecting praises but you just trashed the series. I mean, you could have said MS has flaws while giving constructive criticism. That happens, sometimes a series isn't great but you still appreciate it. But that's not what you said. You literally said MS has no redeeming quality. That's what surprised me. I wasn't telling you to drop the series. I hate people who use the "don't like it, don't watch it" argument. As someone very critical of what I watch, I love to give my pov for series I'm invested in, even when they're not great. But I don't spend more than 3 to 4 episodes on series that have nothing to offer. I just drop them. So, I can't understand why someone would keep watching something that bad ,that don't even meet their expectation. I guess people process things differently.
Man! The acting in this is some of the best. From the extra guy, Mawin to Pavel, taking us through every emotion…
"Charlie still looks uninterested". I don't read it as bad acting but more like Charlie doesn't want to give in but he can't help it. If there's one thing Pooh does well is showing enthousiam and/or intensity in NC scenes. So, imo his acting here was deliberate. Especially since he was emoting properly in the other scenes with Pavel.
At this point, I'm only continuing the series because I know Sorn is going to suffer. Otherwise? Has nothing to…
"The story doesn't exist and the characters are made of cardboard", yet you continue it to see Sorn suffers ? And even post here ? You're putting a lot of time and effort to a series that has nothing to offer...
What people seem to forget is that Sorn is dealing with two "issues" : - Sorn is trapped in his trauma caused by Mali. He believes that having a relationship with a younger person will not last because his young lover will hurt him/betray him. He dislikes young people and doesn't even look at them in sexual or romantic manner. Until Jun. He's been interested in Jun for years and it blossomed into attraction. That's why he grabbed the opportunity to have sex with him in the garden. Contrary to what he says, he didn't do that to mess with Jun. Sorn isn't a reliable narrator. Because his words mean shit, we have to look at his actions.
- Jun is Thai's brother. He's been under Thai's protection for a decade. Sorn is Thai's bestfriend since college, and he thinks of Thai as his second brother. He doesn't want to disappoint him. So Sorn is afraid of Thai's wrath. He thinks he can't have a relationship with Jun, because in his mind if they go official, they're not gonna last. And Thai will end their friendship.
People say Sorn doesn't make sense and I'm here laughing because he does. He's a flawed character and that makes him real. He's the perfect example of someone being so in love they lost themselves. He def know he's wrong and hurting Jun but he's in a space where he can't stop their situationship nor can he move forward to bf status. I think the series does a good job of showing Sorn can't live without Jun. He's the one desperate in this relationship. You can see it with his jealousy, his constant need to know Jun's whereabouts and also during the NC scenes in which they gradually incorporated eagerness and tenderness. He needs to have Jun anywhere, anytime, he devours him.
I usually don't like gratuitous sex scenes, be it in western tv shows or in asian dramas, but for once, I like it. Are they crude ? Yes. Could they have removed them without ruining the storyline ? No, because giving the series' theme, they're a good addition to the storytelling.
Please people, stop saying the series is just porn and no plot. Please, the plot is simple and so close to life (no action, no fantasy, no drama) because many people go through this kind of messy situationship.
Lately, It got worse. I was praising this series, but come on! Sorn's logic makes no sense. He doesn't want to…
In the flashback, Sorn & Mali were together, she lured him in a private place to have sex. Of course he didn't avoid her though he didn't like the setting. Then she accused him of assault. His family was shamed, his parents had to apologize, he had to leave his family and go to Bangkok. That's why he dislike young people, he doesn't even look at them. Until Jun. He fell in love with Jun but didn't want to. His actions don't match his words because he's afraid of being hurt again.
This episode was the best for me. It was fun and cute as usual but I love the fact that they finally gave Kim's character a proper treatment. They acknowledged what I thought about Kim : he's the funny friend, he's in love, he's a good boyfriend but what else ? He's second ML but we know nothing about him while Mon gets to be more fleshed out. Hope they'll keep up making him a 3D character. Another thing I appreciated and wasn't expecting is PerTar's storyline. They launched the romance with such intensity. The angst was giving. Can't wait to see how smoothly (or not) they'll move from bestfriends to boyfriends. As for KitShane, the progression is realistic for teenagers, cause at some point sexual desires comes into play. I'm glad they addressed that in a serious and tasteful manner. And finally, PoddPapang ? I can't!! I need them asap in another series where they'll unleash their chemistry and skinship.
It's funny how we're all having theories for the reason Tam left Phi, and waiting for it to be a damn good reason or else he's gonna catch hands. Some even said they'll change their rating depending on it. But imo, whatever the reason, nothing can justify what he did. No reason can explain why you would break up with your lover this harshly and disappear for years. I mean, I love Tam but he's wrong, plain and simple. If he left for medical reasons, he should have told Phi and broke up with him. If it was related to work issues, he should have explained his pov before leaving. You can't leave people in the dark like that. I hate when they do that in dramas ( *bombastic side eye to TMS2*) cause the one left behind is hurt 100 times more and can't understand what they did wrong to be discarded like that. It stunts their ability to heal and move on.
So whatever the reason Tam left, even if it's a dumb reason, it's not going to ruin the series for me cause for one, I'm already disappointed in him 🤣and two, the series is still quality. I just want him to confess so Phi can heal and go back to the person he was before.
