This drama is ridiculous and so bad that it's good. If you watch it with a serious mind, you won't get past ep 2, especially because some of the cast is really bad (Wild Animal members are terrible actors), and even Mingue is sometimes very stiff or makes expressions that don't fit the scene imo, but I forgive him because that's also part of the charm of Rembrary. The plot doesn't make sense most of the time, and most things happen for no reason. But even so, the drama is oddly enjoyable and makes you laugh a lot. So if you're still unsure whether to start it or to continue it, just give it a shot with not much in mind and you'll enjoy it.
Can someone give me reasons to watch this show? I like the cast but not to the point of forcing myself through a drama I don't feel. I watched ep 1 but I don't think it's gonna be my thing. I like depressive shows as long as you can connect with the characters and situations, but at the same time, I'm not entirely in the mood to watch a depressive drama? Are there any good reasons to watch this show and look forward to the eps?
This is not a hate comment because I did enjoy both eps, but I'm just confused because I have no idea what this drama is about? Like is it a friendship drama, a tragic love story, a con artists show, a revenge and betrayal drama, a democratic movement drama...? It feels like it follows the new trend of adding every plot possible into the same show, and lately, this hasn't been working well... Anyway, I'm still going to watch it because I enjoyed the first eps, and the cast and settings are great. I'm curious about how the plot will unfold, but I just can't help but to be wary considering how many subplots and characters were introduced in that second ep.
Oh god... Did it end up not being a good revenge. Why do all revenge dramas do this. Are there any good revenge…
You're right there, though I still enjoyed the affair part. Have you watched Remember: War of the Son? It's a bit old but I remember it kept me on my seat throughout the entire show and I enjoyed it a lot. Given I watched it while it aired so I'm not sure if it aged well.
OMG NO I DIDNTIM FUCKING CRYING RNNNOMGGGGGIM SO FUCKIG STUPID I CANT BELEIV THIISi was so excited part 2 came…
how does this happen? it's not the first time at all i see someone saying they accidentally watched the last ep of a show and it just confuses me cuz how does that happen at all
I guess the reason why psychopaths are called psychopaths is because they don't always need a proper reason to…
Yeah, but real life and storytelling are different things. To deliver a proper story, you need to provide background information about the characters. Like I said, it doesn't have to be a justified reason, or a way that makes him look like a victim of the evil world, but in order to develop his character from a storytelling point of view, he needed to have either some sort of background on his personality, or a reason to do it (even if it's a wicked and twisted reason that it makes you uncomfortable). Making him a serial killer because people dropped their phones is very lazy and mediocre, imvho.
its a little over the top but i think thats to make more interesting because hacking in real life is quite boring…
Esom did not join the season due to conflicting schedules, that's why the prosecutor is not here. There's also a small conversation at the beginning of ep 1 where Mr. Jung is on the phone and says something like, "even tho we won't ever see you again, I hope you do well," or something like that, which is the subtle farewell to the character.
Ep 14 was much better than eps 12-13, but I still think the thriller part ruined this drama. It should've stayed as a romcom. I know that the murder plot was present since ep 1, and I must admit I was interested to see how it would develop, and until around ep 10, I feel like it was well developed. But as soon as the thriller part took over the show, it felt anticlimactic and the drama went downhill. It's not mysterious at all because the audience already knows all of this since the earliest eps of the show, so none of these reveals are shocking to anyone, or not to most people. We're just watching the show waiting for the characters to finally realize what we already know, so it gets boring. I still enjoy it and like many characters, as much as I hate others. But it's disappointing to see how this show could've developed everything differently, or at least just scrap the murder plot altogether.
I also fear that some plot holes will stay unresolved and forgotten, like the stalker student that we never saw again, and the reason why DH attacked HS's shop in the earlier eps when the romance hadn't developed at all, not even any sort of bond between them. CY told the police that it might have been an attack on him, but it was never addressed again and, knowing the killer and his reasons, it doesn't make sense why he would do that at all.
Hacking is always done this way in action oriented shows and movies. You'll likely have to shut your brain off…
S1 was not a ridiculous action drama, that's why I'm complaining about the quality of this season. And are people not allowed to stop for a second and think about what they're watching? Like if you just watch it with nothing in mind, that's completely fine and valid, but it doesn't mean other people can't find and point out the flaws of the show.

I'm not saying they need to show 'real' hacking, but the 'hacking mode' screens are honestly ridiculous and mediocre. Also, hacking into the gates of an abandoned theme park, really? Or, the incredibly advanced lenses that worked everywhere and anywhere for some reason? Or, the lame microphone on the rear-window with the little holes and lights showing that it was 'receiving' noise? Or, the hacking into every device with no reasoning whatsoever other than 'it serves the plot'? Or, my favorite from Ep 4: the CCTVs in the forest through which Go-eun could see in full HD what exactly the scammer guy was doing? Please, I'm sure there are many better ways to develop the plot other than "technology." At this point, they aren't even trying, and S1 was absolutely nothing like this.
This season is overdoing it waaaaay too much with the background music and the hacking. The hacking in particular is really getting on my nerves. It's not only nonsensical but also looks so cheap and ridiculous with the "hacking mode" floating screens. Somehow I am more okay with Kim Doki's inhumane superstrength than with the constant solutions to everything with this extreme hacking. Like c'mon, first it was the hacking of the rustic mechanical gates at an abandoned theme park, and this time it's hacking into every camera and phone and device ever with some typing in an RGB keyboard and black screens with green characters? At this point, this is becoming mediocre writing.
EDIT: I feel like a lot of people are focusing too much on the fact that in real lifr hacking is boring, rather than on what I'm pointing out: solving all cases with lame and unnecessary hacking that makes it look like the writers don't have anything else to use. The problem is not whether hacking is done like this in real life or not, it's the way it's so overused in only 4 eps of the show already, that it gets ridiculous and makes the drama look mediocre.
I don't think the problem of the show is the thriller premise, but the execution. The initial idea of a victim…
Yeah, that's the thing. It was always there. We had like half an ep doubting whether the killer would be that guy, and another half an ep to learn about his real identity and his potential reason. It was not there and then it was, and it was everywhere.
I still love this show, despite all my disappointment, and I still watched ep 13 in one go without stopping it because I do enjoy it, but it feels like the plot moves both messily fast and gets dragged around as well. It's hard to describe it.
Looks as though quite a lot of people are disappointed with this latest episode and quite understandably so. I…
I don't think the problem of the show is the thriller premise, but the execution. The initial idea of a victim of this system turning into a serial killer is not wrong and it could've been well received by the audience even if that meant the romance wouldn't be the main focus of the show. But the problem is that this is not how the show sold itself in the first half. They added only small hints about the murder plot, way too small ones, and have created too many plot holes that haven't been resolved until now, which is why people are rightfully upset at the quality of the past 2 eps.
