so logan is alive yaaayyyy so happy but who actually did that bomb thing? Joo Dan Tae or Baek Joon / Seo Jin.…
1. The bomb was all JDT's doing. 2. We still don't know why they're trying to save Logan. 3. They are probably not on Logan's side but want something from him, like shares on Cheong A or something on SSR. 4. So far, BJK seems to be a bad person indeed.
1. BJK betrayed Logan cuz CSJ was the one who called BJK to korea and he was simply obeying her.2. she called…
Exactly, this twist is way too ridiculous even for Penthouse standards. At this point I'm sure everyone's still watching only because we're all very invested in the story but no one actually feels any joy anymore from it.
Penthouse has exceeded their own limits of ridiculousness at this point.
1. It makes no sense that CSJ was the one who brought BJK to SK because how did she even know about his existence? She looked surprised whenever she found facts about him. It could just to mislead the viewer, but it was done too scroppily that "the discovered truth" in Ep6 doesn't feel like a twist at all. It's just another clown show.
2. How on earth would anyone survive, even to a 10%, a bomb exploding literally next to them? What about the bones? You're telling me forensics didn't even run tests on the bones to make sure they belonged to the alleged dead person? That they saw burnt bones and were like, "oh damn, a person died here" and moved on?
3. They're acting like this "amnesia drug" is some painkiller you buy in a drugstore. In S2 they got all these machines to make sure HEB was monitored while the drug was administered and said there could be lethal side effects, but this time JBH simply put the drug in her IV like some vitamin and that's it. It's so annoying because although the entire drama is completely unrealistic, they break the boundaries they created for the drama.
4. Logan being alive is to no one's surprise and it actually doesn't feel right. Like, when we thought SSR died everyone wanted her back, same with BRN and the first time (lol) OYH was believed to be dead. But Logan being alive turns everything into a joke, an ever bigger one than what this show already is, and it doesn't really feel any good. I love him but everything about this show is just seriously ridiculous.
5. How did CSJ even know AT ALL that JDT was going to kill Logan that day, at that time, at that place, in that way when she was in jail? Sure her secretary is competent, but the only way he could've known is if he was an accomplice of JDT's secretary, which is not very likely.
6. I'm disappointed in YDI's character because I really thought he would bring a new light on how to take JDT down, but he became just a scared useless puppet of JDT. Jenny and her mom were literally so much better off without him, and I hope they do get the divorce and throw him out of their lives.
7. At some point by the end of S2, Jenny's mom felt betrayed by OYH because OYH didn't tell her she was MSA's actual killer and eventually threw them in jail, so Jenny's mom betrayed her and it looked like she was going to go back to her old, gossiper self. However, in this season they were friends again but it was never really explained why or how they got over those differences, or not that I remember. I'm actually glad Jenny's mom has turned to help BRN and SSR because I always knew she had much more potential than that, but the fact that she just suddenly became good towards OYH bothers me too, because of how they wrote her character.
I can't say I'm disappointed in this season because that's a given. I really liked S1&S2 to the point I binge-watched them in a week before S3 premiered, as I didn't watch them when they first started airing. So I actually liked this show and was looking forward to this season but I really don't have words to express how huge the disappointment in this season is. I keep watching it because I came this far anyway and I'm too invested in the story unfortunately, but it is really such a huge clown show. I just want to see SSR, OYH, BRN, JSK, Jenny and her mom with a happy ending.
1. BJK betrayed Logan cuz CSJ was the one who called BJK to korea and he was simply obeying her.2. she called…
It makes no sense for CSJ to call BJK because how did she even know about his existence? CSJ was shown shocked by the little facts she discovered about BJK, but now they're making it look like she knew about this all along. None of this makes sense even in Penthouse terms. Like, this drama has always been ridiculous but it's exceeding their own boundaries of ridiculousness.
The killer could pretty much be some character that hasn't been introduced yet, as we're only 2 eps into the show. YD being the killer could be some interesting plot twist (so far), but it really doesn't seem like he is, since he's been investigating the bar high school student on his own, he warned CJ not to meet DJ for no apparent ulterior reason other than her own safety, and other things that don't really point out to him being the killer. I know it these types of dramas the killer is usually the one you least suspect, but that's exactly why YD being the killer wouldn't really be that shocking since many people are suspecting him already. Also, let's remember this is a "healing" drama, so one of the main leads being the killer wouldn't really make sense with the apparent them they tried to sell this drama with.
It's painful to watch because Jun and Soohyun's story develops in such a much deeper way, they're literally always there for each other when they need someone the most - like they have said, they keep showing each other their worst and what they want to hide the most, both Jun and Soohyun have had outstanding character development thanks to each other, the time spent together and experiences lived. Sobin is sadly an accessory of the ML that literally doesn't contribute anything to his growth. She's surely done things for him and has helped him be more open, but most of his growth is thanks to what he's learned after spending time with Soohyun and growing together.
Soohyun's entire development is thanks to Jun and how Soohyun himself has become more open in front of him. I just really don't see how there's room for a het romance between Sobin and Jun when their relationship is absolutely shallow and simple.
It's painful to see how dull and poorly written every female character is. Sobin had a backstory and something going on for her but ever since Jun helped her overcome her childhood trauma there is nothing else to make her an interesting character on her own. Like I said, every action of hers at this point simply leads to something related to Jun, showing she's nothing more than a plot accessory of the ML even though she is "the female lead."
Miju is completely shallow, not because of her personality but because everything they made about her is simply having a crush on Soohyun. She lacks any type of depth and character trait, all her screentime is just her having a ridiculous crush on a clearly uninterested guy that has way too much to deal with his life to be even thinking about a relationship.
Youngran is probably the most interesting female character only because she has a personality other than liking a guy, but her screentime is little and she doesn't do much either in the show. Still, her biggest trait is having a crush on her childhood friend too, so it's not like she's properly written or built either.
Chanki being on the drama poster is ridiculous since they don't even give him enough screentime or, again, other personality than being the FL's childhood friend who realizes a bit too late that he also liked his best friend back, which makes no sense anyway because even if you like someone you wouldn't be dating *that* much and doing your friend so dirty even after knowing she had a crush on you (this doesn't make any sense to me).
I can't say I'm not disappointed with the way this drama is developing because I really liked it at the beginning and sadly (and naively) hoped for a romance between the two male leads, but they keep simply bating us and making us believe they will develop something between them, even though their relationship is a lot more interesting than any other character or relationship in the whole drama.
I'm not even talking from a webtoon fan because I didn't read the webtoon (I did see some caps just to confirm it's actually BL), but from a viewer who has eyes and clearly knows that the story between Jun and Soohyun is much better than anything else. I'm not even getting into the fact that they completely stripped a the sexuality off a main character and how the erasure of LGBTQ+ in adapted dramas do a lot more damage than kdrama stans seem to think, I'm literally just complaining about the development of the drama itself as a story on its own.
I was excited at the beginning and liked it a lot, but this week's eps really showed a drop in quality.
The writers probably just forgot they gave him a blood trauma honestly, because otherwise how was he able to kill…
Me too, but it feels like they decided to make him a villain for the sake of it, with no limits or depth whatsoever anymore. He was a lot more mysterious, calculating and not an entire psychopath in previous seasons, but especially in this one he's a madman for no reason.
Can someone explain how JDT can now kill people with his own hands without going crazy? Season 1 he was scared…
The writers probably just forgot they gave him a blood trauma honestly, because otherwise how was he able to kill the real Ju Dantae's parents with a katana so easily (shown in s3) and have blood splashing everywhere, but still got the trauma when he was a kid? Also, when he tried to kill Rona he got blood on his hands but just wiped it off with a tissue, lol. They really just forgot.
Hyunji is such an unlikeable character. She fought with Maha out of jealousy, then got angry at her for breaking up with the boyfriend that caused them 'trouble', then everything was ok when Hyunji herself got the attention of her crush... Such a dumb development.
1. The real JDT's parents (2)
2. SSR's husband
3. Kim Misook
4. Na Ae Gyo
5. Logan Lee (attempted to)
6. Bae Rona (attempted to)
7. Hyein (attempted to)
8. Oh Yoonhee (attempted once, unconfirmed success a second time)
Am I missing out others?
