you do realize that irl men DO kill women for no reason? why do you need a justification? i agree w a lot of your…
It's not about whether this happens in real life or not. This is fiction, and to tell a story you need to build a character, and part of the character is their personality, what leads them, their motive to act the way they do. It's basic storytelling, one of the first things you learn in creative writing courses when building a character.
Yes, killers in real life don't need a reason to kill, and men kill women for breathing. Nobody is denying that, certainly not me. But when creating a character you need to give them a reason to act how they do. And I mentioned in the post that the important thing isn't to give him a motive to kill only, but the reason why he acts how he does in general, not only killing but also impersonating the detective's son. There's no explanation to anything about his character whatsoever. You are nitpicking a single sentence about the whole review and making it an issue when I questioned basically everything about his character.
Im not sure if i like the fact she didnt stay as a wheelchair user. Character development in Dramas always suggest…
I mean, they never portrayed her being disabled as a bad thing. Of course someone who was born able-bodied will have a hard time ending up in a wheelchair, but they never made it look like it was something bad. No one would willingly want to get into an accident that make the rest of her life difficult.
People out there who havent watched lovely runner, im glad u haven't. Bcs u will start having unrealistic expectations…
I came to comment something similar. How do you move on from this drama and try to have normal connections from people irl when this is the standard now π
Can kdramas for once be more medically accurate??? Since when is this just a moment ago successful surgery considered…
All these complaints are the same ones I'm losing my mind over. Like sure it is a fictional story, but are we not allowed to expect a bit of realism on this story maybe? Her family not doing absolutely anything pisses me off too, but the most unrealistic part is Eunseong just being allowed to become her guardian while she's out and the husband who's been the only guardian so far is nowhere to be seen. This is stupidly written and no amount of "it's just fiction"can fix it. I also don't understand what Eunseong plans by doing this because even if he gaslights her all he wants while they're in Germany, she would still go back to Korea and find out the truth because she is a public figure and was publically married. They have tons of interviews and shots together, she could literally just type her name anywhere and find about their story. Not to mention her family would obviously tell her the truth and there will be evidence of it even if Eunseong threw away all their belongings. It's just so stupid I'm honestly more upset than I should lol. The fact that I paused the ep to tweet my concerns about how the German police plot would play out and it literally happened exactly as I thought just goes to show that the writers chose to simply rely on annoying and outdated cliches instead of giving us an original story.
This was actually a lot better than expected. Both leads did a great job and the characters were very well written. Plot was consistent and hooked me from the very beginning. I bingewatched it in one go. Recommended.
if you are in toxic relationship or being neglected just divorce him don't just open your leg to another man and…
Why are you watching a show about love affairs if you're going to question the morality of it? Obviously cheating is wrong and the drama would glorify it because the title is literally about love affairs. Don't watch a drama with a questionable plot and then get upset because the questionable plot is present.
might be his dad too since his dad was at the scene of her accident and he was havijg an affiar with the stepmom…
I think the father had an affair with ML's mom and either kept her and him hidden, or didn't even know about the ML's existence until the mother's death. She could've hidden him completely from the father in order to avoid him growing up under the pressures of the rich, or it was the father's choice to keep them hidden. I'm thinking the father might have even bought the house to the mom as to say "my job here is done" because I find it a bit odd that the ML specified that this house had nothing to do with the Group. It might also become a slap in the face to the ML eventually, to show him somehow that he can't escape his fate with his dad? Idk just a theory.
I also think the mom might have committed suicide in a baththub, or murdered and made to look like a suicide, either way, the ML saw the mom drowning and that's where this memory is coming from.
As for the FL's dad, he might have been in charge of the ML's mother's case and found it suspicious so he investigated it against the chief's/higher ups' backs and found something that he shouldn't have found, which led him to be dismissed. However, I think we have seen glimpses of the father being a bit obsessive with investigating things on his own, so I wonder what else happened to him.
Yes, I'm her fan, I know she had tattoos and I know about her personality. I just thought it was really stupid how that person reacted to such rumors of "hard drugs" when she has a very clean image. She didn't "have" to remove them though, it was her own decision. Of course it'd have unqualified her from all the roles she's taken ever since, but yeah it was her decision after all. She's amazing.
I also thought it was giving too much Batman vibes, but I'm glad it wasn't the case too. As for the leads, I'd recommend you Yumi's Cells where both of the leads appear (in S1), although the FL here is not the lead and definitely not like this one. See You In My 19th Life will probably be your cup of tea seeing your other high rated shows, and the ML here portrays a very different, much more mature character. Military Prosecutor has more similar vibes to Flex X Cop but it's also very different but very fun too. My Name is an amazing show with this ML and actress Han Sohee, a dark action thriller but with a great storyline and acting.
Ahn Bohyun is a great actor, I never miss out any of his shows because I know he's going to do an amazing job.
My problem with slow burns is that I feel like they rarely ever live up to the sexual tension created? Like don't get me wrong, this kiss was amazing, but I feel like the lust and desire built up in the previous episodes, and even in this one prior to the kiss, was a lot more heated and passionate than the actual kiss. Well, it was also barely a minute long so I can only hope to get the replay of the scene and a bit longer of a kiss in the next episode. Sorry, I just think Park Minyoung is one of the few actresses with actual good kiss scenes so I think it's a bit of a shame to leave it like that π
Still, I'm loving this show so much. I binge watched the first 8 eps on the weekend and was crazy for more. I can't believe I have to wait for another week now.
I enjoyed this drama a lot at the beginning, but not so much towards the last 4 eps. It wasn't draggy or anything, I think it kept up with the story and it was interesting till the end, but maybe it just lost the spark for me so I watched the last 4 eps in 1.5x. It was still a very nice watch, it doesn't have any unnecessary problems and the leads have great chemistry and their love transcended everything. The last 12 mins were also very cute. I recommend it to people looking for dramas with cliche stories done right. It has an early 2010s kdrama style, but without the unnecessary breakups, misunderstandings, and draggy plots, and definitely better kisses π
