guys I have a doubt. well I can go and watch the last ep again and clear it but just In case I’ll ask here as…
it's one of the many things left to interpretation lol we never got a scene where yichan read cheongah's letter, so we never knew how he found out she was leaving, or how she found out he became deaf. we don't know if she left right away with her dad, we only know what the dad said that he'd cover yichan's education expenses. other than that, we don't know anything
I feel robbed lol like I knew the ending would not satisfy me because 1. it was gonna be rushed, and 2. kdrama writers don't seem to know how to wrap up a story, plus they took wayy too much time from the drama in the Choi Segyeong subplot, but I still hoped something a little bit more planned. The fact that the premise of the ending is that being rich and successful equals to happiness just leaves a bitter taste on my tongue. Yichan and Cheongah were great parents in poverty, so they would be great in wealth too, and I love the fact that they emphasized how both Yichan and Cheongah had done positive things to the deaf community. But still, the moral of this show went from youth and friendship, to being rich and successful as a standard for a happy life and I'm just a bit disappointed. I still loved the whole show and the ending won't make me change my rating that much, but it is definitely not a full 10 for me. It was perfect to me until they came back to the future, especially because we don't even know what happened in Eunyu's present. We also didn't get any scenes from Cheongah visiting Yichan in the hospital, or how Majoo reacted this time to the accident, how Yichan's friends supported him either and the show made it look like Yichan endured it alone again. We also didn't get a single Cheongchan scene in the present, not even seated on the same row. It's just way too rushed and it feels disrespectful to the show itself.
Well, either way, the actors did an amazing job here, especially the young actors, and I really hope they get all the awards they deserve. #18 all-time is also amazing and this show doesn't deserve any less!
Nice shout out to Gallaudet, which was historically a very important instution for changing the paradigm away…

So, what happened? The brothers mother killed her first husband and brothers real father in domestic violence…
I think there is murder involved, but I'm not sure about how you're putting it. I think their abusive father is their real dad, but there definitely is more to it than we know so far.
What do you mean, 'Ki-ho' lost his memory'? Did you watch episode 6? 'Ki-ho' never lost his memory to begin with
kiho is bogeol. woohak is the one that was listening to ranjoo's video, it was a recent performance so it was mokha's voice. woohak kept saying that he would know if mokha had what she needed to succeed and was comparing her voice (mokha singing next to him) to the one from the video (mokha lip-syncing for ranjoo), which was just to show that woohak doesn't really know and can't tell that ranjoo's current voice is actually mokha's.
really need someone to explain the backstory to me because i am so confused pls like just summarise what was revealed…
about kiho's family: bogeol/kiho and woohak/chaeho are real brothers. they lived with their parents, their dad is an abusive psychopath that abused them physically. we don't know yet if woohak's accident happened before or after kiho moved to chunsam Island with his father, but my guess is that while woohak was in a comma, his father took kiho to the island. however, this is just my theory. we also don't know yet how their mother and their stepfather met, or when, but we do know that their stepfather was already there when woohak woke up from the coma. we also don't know how long he was unconscious.
kiho managed to escape from his abusive father some time after mokha disappeared and he got beaten up by mokha's father, and managed to reunite with his mom and woohak, but we don't know the details of this encounter yet.
kiho, chaeho and their mom were able to change their identities, but we still don't know the details about this. there is something suspicious there, probably illegal, but we don't know. my guess is that they might have taken someone else's identity (stolen identity from dead people, maybe the stepfather's deceased family?) because if they had just changed their names legally, their father would be able to find them. so we need to wait to see what the deal with that is.
about the show: bogeol somehow knew that mokha was lip-syncing for ranjoo, which is why he decided that both ranjoo and morae had to sing live, so that mokha can use her own voice and shine by herself. my guess again is that bogeol recognized mokha's voice in ranjoo, or he simply saw mokha lip-syncing.
idk if this helps, but do let me know if you have any more questions^^
I hope the "mystery" clears up today because everyone knows who Kiho is and understands what might have possibly happened in their family, so I hope we can leave this behind today and move forward with the plot. I want to see Mokha start becoming the Castaway Diva we were promised, and I need to know what's with the timeskip because I can't wrap my mind around it. That looks like a 30-40 years time skip, I can't understand what will happen in that time, and I don't see a "future" where Ranjoo is alone unless something happened to Mokha, so I'm already scared :)
I honestly don't get the SML syndrome on this one, don't get me wrong, I usually root for the SML on other dramas…
Totally agree. Woohak is a friend to Mokha and I don't think Woohak sees Mokha romantically either. Meanwhile, the tension and longing between Mokha and Bogeol is almost palpable.
So basically his mother left that psycho with her elder son, then younger son found her later and has been living…
I really hope that as soon as the mystery is revealed (more like confirmed), they'll show us how Kiho felt throughout all these years and how he reacted when Mokha was found. I agree that he must have let his feelings out somewhere where he couldn't be seen. I need them to give us his perspective of everything through the years because it'd only be very poor writing if they pretend he didn't have an emotional reaction upon finding her.
this drama deserves more attention. i think so far it's very well written with an interesting story. also, youngdae's acting has improved so much. i've been watching him since extraordinary you and have watched almost all his shows with guest roles and support roles, and i definitely think you can tell he's a hardworking actor eager to improve himself. you can see how he's grown as an actor and has improved not only his facial expressions, but also his pronunciation, diction, and overall performance. i also like the fact that he challenges himself and has taken on several different roles in order to expand his acting scope. i hope next time he takes on a role of a problematic poor guy, kinda like junho in rain or shine, i think it would fit youngdae so well.
also, pyo yejin is also an amazing actress and i really like her character here. she's not clueless and stands up for herself without being over the top. i hope her character stays true to herself even after she falls in love with han juno.
this is one of the dramas i look forward to the most every week, i hope it stays good till the end.
oh god how will they conclude everything in just 2 episodes next week.. they should have made "segyeong's love…
I keep thinking the same thing. Why did courting Segyeong take most of the drama if it wasn't the main plot, only to leave the important parts of the show to the last 2 eps? We still don't know what Eunyu's purpose to travel back in time was, not even why exactly Eungyeol traveled back in time too because if he can't prevent the accident (I'm pretty sure he can't) and Yichan and Cheongah would obviously meet and date without him, why is he there? All that + Cheongah's family arc, plus whatever happens in the future once our travelers go back to the future is too much to resolve in only 2 eps. They will either rush this ending like crazy (which will break my heart), or add more episodes/a second season. It just doesn't make sense to rush everything into 2 eps and ruin the entire built up throughout 14 eps.
ikr!!! i also hope cheong ah doesn't reconcile with her dad - he definitely knew what was going on, it's been…
I don't think she reconciles with him considering thar Eungyeol was shocked to find out that his mom lived in a house with other people because she always told him that she didn't have any family
i know I'll break down if I saw my mom being treated like that. that will really be my breaking point, and eun…
honestly, i even cried with yesterday's ep with yichan's confession like i don't even cry often but that scene made me bawl. also today with cheongha's confession, like their love is so pure and beautiful it brings tears to my eyes literally. i cried like 5 times altogether with this week's eps. i'm so scared for next week 🫠🫠
