I think she acts here really good, what you probably don't like is the character and how it is written. And not looking in the eye is part of the cutesity, esp in China, but I also think you are a bit wrong with that? I mean she does look in the eyes, only sometimes not when she's thinking about something. And it is very normal in real life too.
However I understand your pov, sad you didn't like this, it is one of my favourite <3

I think you should give it a go, it is really not something big but very nice light-hearted easy thingie, it has a certain likable vibe I think, and is very cheesy but somehow not that annoyingly (at least not for me). But opinions are very different, it got much hatred as well so maybe it won't be your cup of tea either but you can always drop if so.

Then I advise you to avoid ProfSing as well, you gonna hate it as much I think...

öhhh bc he DID NOT REVEAL ANYTHING to her?? he tried but SML hid the evidence so no wonder girl still was in love with his senior it is very natural you choose to believe whom you love bc you have trust in him. And girl believes that he is her senior, she notices only later when SML tries to kill her. It was there black and white while watchin, not too hard to put the picture together so.... just wonderin who is the real idiot...

I enjoyed Professsional Single and Meteor Garden 2018 too, tho I can see why these couldn't make it on this list :)

lol then you misunderstood me. I never said nor thought that it is a bad movie, in fact, it is great and complex which I usually like. I just never liked the character and didn't understand what a prominent actor could've seen in it. And I was wonderin if anybody felt the same way, that's all.

Well, my worldview was always much different from what people used to have these days so it is definitely me. and my standards on moral codes and such. so maybe my fault i don't know. as for Take why not wanting the role: bc with that name of his he is at a level where he can choose? And he is (as far as I can see) def the one who always aims higher and also the kind that is very artistic, so with the pride of his I always thought he thinks through twice what he gives his name to. Maybe I mistunderstood him but so far he seemed like so to me.

Well, yes it took quite a bit for her I agree but I think here it is really the script is like this, but introspectively speaking, she sadly really couldn't do much up until she learn't from his master that power so I really think she shouldn't be blamed for that.But if you didn't mean it that way then sorry, my bad and consider my writing here irrelevant :)

I think we all here are a bit too early to judge. So far she had only a few dramas and movies where she could prove and this is what stands for each beginner actors/actresses, there's a certain professional ladder/staircase what everybody needs to walk through. For actresses it is usually either the cutie role or the more serious type of role, and in the industry it depends on your looks what way you will be 'sold'. What can she do about her face she was born with? So it is obvious she'd get cutie roles and it is up to her what to do with them. If you don't like cuties, well, search for other shows, but maybe you should give it a thought as well that what are you tryna do in the world of dramas since being cute is one of the essential factors especially in romcoms, but it is also a cultural thing, in all Far Eastern countries to be cute is way more popular than the cold/bitchy characters however in Korean dramas these trends are in changes (becoming very Western alike).
What I meant by early judging that we really should wait for her other shows where she can show more of herself, can become versatile, etc.
One thing I dont understand in your comment Number 10, you said it can't be her acting since she can't act-- wtf? I mean it is a contradictory. Maybe you don't like the roles she gets but it is very less the fault of an actor/actress, it is the script that it is written in a certain way. With her face she probably never or only rarely would get a chance to play serious roles so in that manner she is typecasted but that's okay since there's always a need for actresses that can play cutie and she can.
And that is the other thing I don't understand by you Number10, what is your problem with stories with '5 year old' roles? First and foremost, it is an Asian thing, if you can't accept go watch Western shows. I mean like 80% of these shows will have cuties bc of the above stated cultural reasons, of course there are exceptions these days but if you can't stand it that much then dramas maybe really not your thing as a whole. Many US and EU country people approaches Asian things from their own culturally biased perspective so no wonder there could be distastes and such but you are not forced to spend time on these if you dont wanna. If you got stuck on this, how can you be forgiving with other shows? Eg. if you like A love so beautiful or many other Chinese, even other Asian country dramas, how can this be a problem here? So many other dramas have cutie girly females like her, she is just a bit different in her vibes but many other people are different as well, but that can be reacted by natural acceptance. Why making a deal about it?
Last but not least, calling her 5 years old imo is kinda rude or at least very condescending. She is rather girly and cutie in her roles however, each of it was a bit different as well, just the cuteness was a similar factor with each (again, typecasted bc of that). But being girly, sometimes feminine as well is not a bad nor a good thing it is just a trait, you don't have to like it but could've respected it imo. Also, with you saying she can't act.... maybe you expect different things or have higher standars in some aspects regarding acting, then write that, not that she can't act, how come you saying this... it is very offensive, plus she could be better later but everybody starts somewhere...

It was just as hard for me to decide whom to choose, whom to root for between the 2 (imo) both powerful girls, as it was for our beloved Ning Que. I think he made the right decision after all.
Bc his relationship with SangSang is pretty complex, I'm not surprised, most of the audience ( as I noticed here) are already confused and don't understand it. This story is rather like a European novel that is to analyze in a literature class (ok, but at the same time, not that boring, plenty of excitement involved here). With the case of Mo Shan Shan, NQ was at his senses, was very conscious when making the decision (rare occasion btw, he's always so hot-headed <3), but even he could understand that this is not only about love and feelings. He felt MSS's love, and in a way he could also reciprocated it. The decision is based on very much other factors. With MSS he could've had a chance to a life where he is that of a classical husband of the old times, they'd be that kinda intelligent, strong, noble educated couple and he could got a very good position with status in the society. And for that life the perfect humble, pure, serious and very delicate, also intelligent and strong wife is there in the person of MSS. Put it simple, in many ways was it beneficial for him. But this story gives you the lesson that without true love this all means nothing. And here SangSang comes into the picture.
This is what is fate. Past and experiences also count. This is not where he came from, not from the noble side. He came from the other side of life with the help of SS, relying constantly on each other, sharing many happy memories, staying true and loyal to each other no matter what. These are the things in fact that can have life rewritten whether we accept it or not. Mo Shan Shan would be in any way better for him, even him and SS knows this. It is obvious. But people cannot overcome fate. This is why it is painful for everybody. Even for NQ and SS. Bc imagine, if NQ gives up SS in order to be with MSS, he would become a verrrryyy sorrowful man bc SS was the love is his life + his soulmate, the strongest bond that would never be between him and MSS. Or you could say he didn't gamble on it and I think this is wise of him.
Compared with other stories that I like (eg. if any of you are familiar with the story of Outlander), creators/writers usually embodies features of these two women in one (protagonist) character, here there are two separate characters with characteristics we wish to see in one person. This is what makes it so realistic and this is why I personally like this story. In real life it can happen that the many things we want to have in another person are not there in one, but in two. This is where every person should decide what kind of life he'd want to lead from that point on. But if you really know NQ with his flamboyant and shameless personality it wouldn't be even a question that he wants a cheerful and rather easier, peaceful life with the archetypical not-so-rich family and for that SS is the perfect partner.
IMO it is always better to rely on real life experiences when choosing someone which is in fact very hard when you meet the one you really want to 'switch to'. And this is NQ's case. Some may say NQ shouldn't let MSS go and maybe SS holds him back. I even thought SS is a bit selfish here in a way. But just as much NQ who still wants to chain her to himself. But it is the rare case I think where her selfishness must be forgiven as her life is also at stake and she is rather at the disadvantage than NQ.

This is just my analyzation of their case, sorry if it may have bored you, I wrote it only to help to understand, not to show off or sg like that... Thanks for reading <3

Yeah I get what you mean, I kinda felt the same however from Shan Shan's part I can't pass by the mistake (imo) she made, I mean it really was not wise to develop feeling's whose heart is already taken, she could've noticed that from far away as Ning Que was speaking about Sang Sang not only one time and most importantly the way he talked about her was obviously filled with so much love.

I think she definitely will but unfortunatley only in S2, for which you need to understand S1. I also suggest you to reach ep30, I think story becomes something right after that (acc to my experience), up until that point sorry I have no other suggestion than the severe use of the forward button if u can't stand it that well... :/

If you would reconsider at any time and you are willing to take my advice: please reach ep30 and continue from that point on. I felt the same up until ep30. I've skipped almost everything, saw only the interactions between characters that intrested me (naturally the leads and the flower couple mostly), but then I got used to its vibe and at the end I also became a fan. I can't tell it'll turn out for you the same as for me but there's a chance, up until then you could skip just as I did. I admit that this way it is kinda dumb to watch anything but sometimes it really is worth to be persistent, I really didn't regret spending my time on this story. Just read the comment down below this, he/she states the same, maybe you will like it then too :)

You mistunderstood my intentions, it is perfectly fine if you are still not a fan of hers, everybody has a different taste, that is perfectly fine by me as well. It is just I didn't understand your case, it seemed as if you saw only 1 thing from her but judge all the other which is impossible and it didn't make sense to me so I asked. But no other intentions :)

based on this, though I became curious, so may I ask whom do you prefer, what actresses do you like to see on screen?

ps. Btw Third way of love she is only a support there, in your eyes does it count much? Bc in mine it does not.
