this was a fun watch. I actually had to put on hold the first season and took me while to actually watch this but ended up watching this on a binge. I really want more of the Lee brothers and even more of the three mountain gods. season 2 was actually better than 1 and that is so rare, hope the magic continues for the next season.
Now that we are seeing more monsters as good guys fighting even worse monsters (humans) in the SK drama scene can we please have a vampire drama with all the gory and darkness associated with a vampire protag.
mnh, a glorious mess? all I can say is damn. My thoughts when watching this was that Ray, Top and Ton need therapy. These characters are a lot more than just flawed. The problem they are having, and their mathods of coping with them are all symptoms of underlying mental health issues, and although family and friend support are crucial sometimes a little more may be needed and I hope for more mental health advocacy and awareness.I guess the only thing that comes close is the one that's provided by the rehab? But on the other hand I understand why it's not a prominent feature. But oh my that friend group, leave out cheum and yo with their partners, had any supporting character not kiss or made out with the main characters? and I guess Boeing is up there, with a whopping 5 out of the six?
I feeel you. I love morally gray characters so much and this one was just perfect, i ended up wanting more and…
I had seen a comment saying that the romance is slow to develop but when it does it's explosive. And although I was fore warned, I was still 🤯. I have watched a lot of historical/Xian xia/wuxia dramas and I have gotten used to it's not lackluster then minimal or subdued on the romance aspect. And I think the kiss shows another aspect of Xie's character, he has these intense wants and needs but for a long time he has had to restrain and repress himself. So after getting what he wanted he was like a thirsty man in the desert and someone just presented him with a gallon of cold water. My man drank, and wanted more.
oh, it's been soo long since I've seen In sung in a drama. All in all its a solid watch. For those who like linear story telling, this might not be your cup of tea. I want a season 2, really do. I hope those end credits scenes are alluding to one cuz there is just so many questions left unanswered. And the ones running the black ops department are total and utter idiots. No one thought to do a bit of research as to what makes them different? at all? like not even to try and find something to control them? their physical weaknesses? No one thought of going in that direction with what almost 40 years of the department being active? But damn the education system in SK is so commanding, yes we want to train the next generation of superhumans but they MUST sit for their CSATs.
Queen of chemistry has 2 hit dramas this year. girl is on a role. I loved this so much. I have seen Ling he in a couple of dramas I really think he shone here, I am here for more of xie wei type of characters to grace our screens, more morally gray and not bound by societal convection. I really like the dialogue with Ning'er father, where he is like your her teacher and xie Wei was 'aaaaand?'. and I am glad I watched this after finishing a journey to love. Now I really want something similar to this and I have searched but I haven't found one that I haven't watched. guess I'll have to wait till the next one comes.
I'm glad that I started watching this before the final episodes were out, because otherwise..... and I don't necessarily want a happy ending just a satisfying one. And this was anything but. I just wonder if this was a conscious decision made the writers directors and producers or if there were censorship issue that they had to patch up because..... I just want to scream. I was planning on rewatching this and there are a pitiful few dramas that I love enough to rewatch but now I don't think I can.
I'm on episodes 36 and the f?it took just 2 episodes to kill half of my found family? why? I know I understand…
I finished. and I want to scream. they weren't satisfied with just half of them? I really want to know what was going on in the writers minds? what the hell was all that character growth for if they were going to die in the end?
I'm on episodes 36 and the f? it took just 2 episodes to kill half of my found family? why? I know I understand but I am still going to rage. I really found myself attached to Lao Qian, sun Lang and oh my poor baby Yuan Lu. what is Shisan going to do once he finds out that the boy he sent out for safety ended up dead.
How many episodes in the donghua is it completed nd where did ya watch it?
the ones I saw were on iqiyi anime on YouTube, about 20 some episodes. they were pretty short so I watched a compilation of the episodes which are also on the site. I guess I liked the donghua more coz it had an adventure/quest story line with multiple arcs and I thought the drama would be the same. but the pacing was just too slow for me in the drama.
I stumbled into the donghua before watching this and I have to say that was a mistake, I hated how they did the female lead here. it's just like how they did the FL in ashes of love and I couldn't finish it. She was so well done in the donghua? or was it that the story development was was faster in the donghua while the drama it just felt dragging? like I'm 11 episodes in and I am bored, forcing my self to watch.
I am a wuxia/Xian xia fan and have wondered how those elements would look like in a modern setting and this does not disappoint. what a drama. left me wanting for more. And as much as I love bao bao and chulan. Wang ye is my favourite character, in terms of his arc and his growth and each of his fight scenes are just mind blowing. This is a gem.
I really, really liked this. The writing, pacing, characters. just everything. family, friends, love and loss. something that will pluck at you heart strings. I would love to see the trio again in another season.
I really liked this. So much. I usually start then maybe wait for a series to finish then binge watch but this had me waiting for Fridays and always put a smile on my face. I fell in love with those talented young actors. Can't wait to watch more of their project. The plot really is simple but that just goes to show that you don't need a convoluted plot or storyline for a show to be good especially if you can't pull it of. Hmm has been giving solid shows these couple of months. please let this quality or even better continue.
we're finishing this drama next week. I have loved this so much, l have loved the characters, acting, cinematography and pacing. It takes it time without dragging.
I can officially say that this series has me on an emotional chockhold, cuz explain to me why I was tearing up watching liming and heart spend time together. The word I can used to describe their relationship is Pure. It's just so pure and innocent and beautiful. It got me nostalgic for something that I never had at that age but boy how I wish I had. And coming to wen and Jim I have absolutely no idea where to start with them cuz where do you even start? it's absolutely opposite to liming and heart relationship. I show the messiness and complecatedness of love and relationships. And props to mix for taking on wens character. With all of his flaws and complexities and mistakes. I believe I'll be writing a comment after each and every episode. something which I normally don't do. I love this so much
I have loved every project that Earth and Mix choose to helm. The characters feel human, with emotional depth. They doesn't just show a character they give. them depth of why they are this way. And even though Love is the main theme of the dramas they choose it's also about growth, they shade a light on different familial and societal problem. And Gemini and Fourth I am falling in live with these two young actors. especially Gemini, heart is a character with no lines but even with that there is so much expression and we get an idea of the person heart is. really hoping the best for them
I have just one question. what happened to this anthology? like why? it started going down hill after history 3 so I was wondering what changed? How do you mess up a time travelling protagonist? And he just gave up searching for his grandma ?the person he loved most? Ok let's say they completely forgot about that, they decide that this is his life now he is gonna live here so why is it that just when something happens to advance the two(talk about lacking in chemistry) they always like always take a couple of steps back and we are right where we started? I'm in ep12 and the only reason I reached this far is the second couple. like they are carrying the whole show. And wait you telling me that Hai to father died and am I supposed to care? do I know this person? did they even establish his relationship other than vaguely alluding that they don't have a good relationship? they tell us that free he is dead? and where did the aunt. come from? with role she is playing now you'd think she would be introduced sooner? And the rivalry they are trying to set up btn Hai yi and Liang is just laughable.
But on the other hand I understand why it's not a prominent feature.
