there are a lot of people venting out on the comments so I'm just gonna add a bit of my frustrations. that scene in ep 6 keeps playing on my mind. I was wondering how it could have gone another way, Seon Ho: I like you Mu Yeong: what are you saying? don't you have a girlfriend? why are you doing this? Seon Ho is confused and tries to explain that no he doesn't infact have a girlfriend they start talking and bam misunderstanding solved. Logically when someone who you think has a partner confesses to you especially if you have the self respect that we are shown that Mu Yeong possesses ( with the flash back at school of him telling the a**hole that he does have standards) you would interogate them of why they are in a relationship and still confessing to you. The kiss might have been a mistake they were both drunk but Seon Ho was sober this time so how could he do that to his girlfriend. But the way they chose to go just to prolong the misunderstanding for misunderstanding sake is just baffling. He likes Seon Ho, and I guess they were going for. him sacrificing his love for Seon Ho happiness but it makes no sense, sacrificing you love is the last thing on you mind when someone wants to cheat on their partner with you? Am I missing something?
What can I say about this. Now Jung hyun, I kind of understood what they wanted to do with him, a morally gray not exactly evil person except his understanding of love and protection is skewed. A juxtaposition of his understanding of love and Taeyoungs. Jung hyun keeps you wondering if his actions are of selfish love or of self preservation. But it wasn't well executed it just left you guessing that that is what they were going for and I think that happens because they didn't want to commit him to being a bad guy. We got him for 7 episodes doing questionable things to Jung woo and then you want to redeem him in one episode? He did not belong in that ending scene with them. Teayoung and Jung woo characters were pretty straight forward. And my favorite character of all is the freelance editor Yeong seon. She really doesn't tolerate be and calls it as it should. I really liked her. The actress did a wonderful job. All in all a good watch. could it have been better? yes. but still quite enjoyable, the actors performances saves it. but, this is my personal opinion and I have no hate on the guy, there was something lacking from Leo's performance.but I wonder if it just steems from the script.
Same page over here. I still think about all the things they could have been doing together if it wasn't for that…
I guess it shows just how much loss takes from us. How every minute is presious and why we should just live our lives. Because as much as we put i at the back of our minds we really don't know what gonna happen tomorrow. I really like dramas as introspective as this.
This looks promising. I hadn't seen the trailer for this so I'm kind of going in blind no expectations. but the first episode so far is good predictable but good. Like when they entered the alley way the first thing that came to mind was this isn't going to be a bat man origin story now is it? well I was half right. the one who died was the one who promised to go to the school event, the mother who was there but made me wonder why she was not part of the conversation was spared. but so far there seamed to be no one who is stupid, though the merit of uprooting your son and involving him in a seamingly dangerous situation need to be discussed. but I digress.
All I can say is that there is a need to come across this sort of story to really appreciate the good ones. I do believe I liked torturing myself cuz everytime it came on my recommend I would watch it. for this nothing was going for it. Not the acting, not the directing not the writing. I'm just baffled that someone really put money to make this. everything was just so half assed and half baked It's absolutely amazing it went through the first screening. The producers saw this and gave it a green light.
This was disappointing, and no the problem wasn't with the actors I'm sure they tried their best with what they were given and what they were given was a lot to be desired. I like asswhole characters, I mean atleast that is what I think they were going for. 'these aren't you fluffy bl characters they are morally gray with a darkside' and then drop the ball completely. With the premise the characters should be compelling but it became a jumbled mess. set up with no pay off, a character doing a complete 180 out of nowhere ( looking at you Yai). And nothing making sense. A lot of things happens that just leaves you wait what?
what a poignant story of loss. It is powerful, and the acting? The actors portrayal of their characters especially the one who played Mitsuru, all I can say is wow. How any of us would beg plead for just one more day, a little more time with the ones we love especially those who are taken from us so suddenly. The story is just so heartbreakingly beautiful and painful at the same time cuz each and every person who has lost someone they love can see themselves in Mitsuru. The desperation of wanting to hold on to that person, the murderous rage at the person who took our loved one away(excellent portrayal by the way I got chills). And in the end having to accept and let go. But doing that leaves a gaping wound as it feels your heart is being ripped out. The line that I loved most is Mitsuru's father after a heat to heart telling him that he doesn't have to force himself to heal. More people need to hear that. One needs, we all need the time to grieve.
Oh.. not really for break heart yet!P.S: u were the comment i was looking for!
it's a very facinating character study, and I'm sure other can have different reading on the characters they might have a totally different meaning to them. You could say it's a quiet sort of drama but also so loud. The characters make it that way that you have to pay attention. With every dialogue something is revealed about the characters that you have to listen. what is not said is sometimes as important as what is said. It's so we'll crafted.
I'm angry. I'm angry at the fact that there are series with no plot or nonsensical ones get 10/12 episodes and one like this gets delt this hand. The series is good the plot is good but how the tone of it changes gives you whiplash, and the resolution seams rushed and I understand they were strapped for time. A story like this needs time to bloom. And there is so much left unanswered like how does the mirror work? and one that's in my mind how does an underage student get a gun? and what were the consequences after showing it on a live that he has one? what happened was traumatic to all involved I would have loved to see the healing not just Neos but For family as well. All in all with the time they had and seamingly small budget the series was good. The actors did their best I hope this is a stepping stone for them.
All I can say is there is only one love story in this. The other was a horror story and I think it would have been more compelling if they had treated it as such. Yong jie wanted to lock up Xingsi so I guess he was lucky that it just ended up as SA( I'm being sarcastic by the way) I love an unhinged psychopathic character cuz there is absolutely no way that Yongjie isn't one, but not in this way. He shouldn't have a happy ending after what he had done, and the audacity to force the father to accept them And the father actually did !?? And he said 'nonhanky panky until he finishes collage' Sir are you ok? did you not see what he showed in that video? your son was helpless and step child just assaulted him?. and the mother? you knew what he wanted to do? YOU KNEW? With how the story was handled is there a different definition of r*pe cuz how did the mother know and just treated it as trivial? like oh your brother is gonna be so angry not oh my son is going to drug someone and sleep with him against his will aka SA. Is this not a crime why was it treated so nonchalantly ? THE FK?????????????the writers wanted that fluffy HE they should have brought it down to a kiss, it would have brought the same tension BTN the brother and family or just dailed it up to full on horror or psychological thriller. I am not against the story line, it was toxic and yes there are toxic relationship out there weather hetero or homosexual, what I am against is how they handled this one.
This was good. loved it so much. loved the characters Soo much. I know this is impossible now but I would love another well written drama with the two. The performances were just chefs kiss.
Doesn't this have a happy ending, no but it's not meant to. It's complex and yes makes you think. this drama can have many readings and is different for everyone In and Mol were easy to read for me and even though he was the youngest Wang was hard for me to read I think he was the most complex of them all. He loved his father so much and wanted to know about him since his mother wasn't forthcoming he searched for someone else who was close to him. I believe he knew, he knew his father's feeling for In, cuz although they were subtle in those pictures Siam was always looking at In. He was surely living with trauma of loosing his father and it seamed that he looks like him, So I was wondering was he trying to live his father's life for him? his love for In How much is it was him and how much is it his father's, living in his father's memories. Mol is a manipulative narcissist, always the center of attention and always getting what she wants even if she positions her self as an open minded progressive person she isn't. She likes to listen herself speak so much that she doesn't let herself listen. But she isn't stupid she said it herself that sometimes she does know what is going on but chooses to ignore it. Did she know what was going on btn Siam and In but chose to ignore it because she believed she would be better for Siam, happier with him? her befriending In, telling him how much she loves Siam, wants him, can be seen as manipulative, was she telling In to stay away and when she got everything she wanted and it didn't work out she blames every one but her self. Just how much did she know about Siam and In that she just ignored like how she did the reporter that was trying to dig her in a pit but but ignored it and making the interview favorable to her? But I just don't understand the hate directed at In, was it because Siam was in love with him or because she couldn't make Siam forget him? or was it because In leaving was the reason she lost Siam forever. She did not want to loose her son to him, she didn't want to loose her son who is implied looks so much like his father. She didn't want to loose for a second time. In is a coward and he does blame himself and his cowardliness for Siam's death so much that he built himself a prison and locked himself in it. that house with all it's grandeur and beauty is a prison, with contacts to the outside world, No internet one tv in the guest room and only a land line and no one to get close to him. He built it himself he put himself in there and no matter how Wang tried to pull him out he would resist. He didn't even come out of the prison to say good bye to Wang. cinematography, cage motifs and lines btn In and Wang. Lines that In never crossed and it's Wangs who crosses them into Ins life and trying to pull In into his. The performances in this, they are just wonderfully subtle and amazingly done. You are hooked in from beginning to end.
Loved this. The cinematography was superb, atleast the first few episodes were done as a real horror and I really liked that. Also the actress playing Nuan was just amazing I was absolutely creeped out by her.
So I watched ep 1 a couple of hrs before ep 2 was out and I liked the concept. I really commended them to try and tell this kind of story, I knew there wasn't going to be large end of the world VFX but that could also be there and the story would still suck. As long as they show a compelling story with the characters then I would be hooked even if most of the disasters would be told to us instead of shown. With people not being as panicked in the first episodes well that is possible there was just rumors going around while some beloved them others didn't and they were trying to live the lives as normal and we got to see panic when the government announcement was given. I liked how the the fist Convo btn golf and Gus sets up golfs seamingly erratic behavior and pays off in the confession after his girlfriend leaves him it just irks me how his suicide was played for laughs, but it's not the first time that the author has put in a that heavy subject with no real resolution of it. So I guess he was trying to say that golf was mentally messed up and why he would bash an absolute innocent person with a guitar on the head. Though not perfect it was fine as long as it doesn't devolve into clichés. The episode two dropped, and................. like what in the???????? how could you make the literal end of the world boring? (And come one the oh they saw their naked body in bath room has been done enough and it just seems cheap in this case ) So they missed their chance of entering the government survival bunker I guess? but how would a bunker help when there are tsunamis and Britain is under water but I digress, this is supposed to be the government bunker meant to help them survive and they missed their chance to enter it and they are just fine with it? ok let's say golf had 3 days to deal with it but then art after believing what was happening why was he so calm? not even a panicked 'what are we gonna do' ? And golf as someone who has done research on the brain and amnesia with art short term kind why would you lie to him knowing he is going to remember sooner or later? Then we get introduce to a gang of outlaws killing someone. We are told that all the important and good? people are in the so called bunker and outlaws roam the streets now and oh unlucky individuals like them who missed their chances. So how did they filter the outlaws out? We don't know, I'm sure the writer is trying to tell us something but it falls flat. And oh we get our next pair in this gang and we are given nothing about them. or why they would kill a man Infront of an apartment building, but I guess we have a mystery. Am I going to continue watching? yes. I want to see if this train of a series is going to arrive at it's designated station or is it going to crash and burn.
I've entered the bl rabbit whole and this popped up in my recommend. I'll give a more detailed comment about the series when more episodes are out but damn I never thought consent could be so sexy. We need more of it.
Now where do I start. Do university students have that much time on their hands? Don't they have classes and course works to do? Does this amount of shipping really happen or is it cranked up to eleven for this drama. but before I get into that I'd have to say that this is funny, a real fun watch found my self laughing out loud in some situation. The actors sold. Now back to the shipping or should I say in this seemed more like harassment. Because they weren't fallowed just around school were they were easily accessible but even outside of school in their private time, THEY FOLLOWED THEM HOME??? Now that is stalking. And I guess they tried to condem it. But then the page is up and you have shippers with banners at a birthday party arguing at whose ship is real. Now with this I'm wondering if they tried to show what it physical representation would look like cuz most of the time it happens in the internet but it didn't feel like it. I mean in the end they were rewarded by the couple coming out to them, in a what the f moment. No one of them was entitled to knowing the status of their relationship, not. when their privacy was constantly being invaded. And in the end the two stalkers found. a new target like come on? the earlier massage of. shipping and stalking might be bad cuz one thing it is an invasion of privacy is completely lost cuz nothing happens to the shippers. they have no lesson learned nor do they change just a change in target.
And I really do believe this is where the series should end. Nothing in this relationship was healthy I'd have to say. One is dealing with trauma and rejection the other is a massive narcissist who doesn't take no for an answer. "but he has a heart of gold doesn't he?" We are shown that it's exactly what Sky needs to breakdown those defensive walls he has put and for good reason. They are just two imperfect being who have found each other. Even though that misunderstanding was so unnecessary and could have been avoided but I digress. they found each other cleared up the misunderstanding and are together Prapai has broken down Sky walls and he can love again. It should be the end. so why on earth are we visiting trauma land in the next episode?
that scene in ep 6 keeps playing on my mind. I was wondering how it could have gone another way,
Seon Ho: I like you
