Please stop worrying about an ending with might or might not be sad and enjoy the drama as it is... It's not necessary…
You're absolutely right... PBG's character in Moonlight is actually Mr. Queen's Dowager Queen's (cult-lady's) husband who died young. So since Mr. queen is set in the same dynasty, only one generation below, plus the fact they have kept things light so far... is a good indication we're in safe hands!... ;D Thanks for you reassurance! ^^
As per history, the year 1851 when CJ marries Cheorin, he's 21 and she's 16. He ascended the throne at 19, and dies at 32. Cheorin spends years alone and she dies at 41, 14 years after CJ dies T_T I'm really curious how they will stick to history, yet resolve our time-travel bit, AND give us a happy-ending in the process.. please Drama-Gods, make it come true... I promise i'll rate it a TEN! ^_^
I was so pissed off about that discrimination. Why this amazing drama wasnt picked by netflix like its predecessors…
Then too bad, they really missed out.. Netflix, if you're reading this, please pick Mr. Queen up for international audience like you picked up 18 again! :3
Interesting! Wait! The spirit is a girl?? It would be totally gender blender then.
Noh, if So-Yong and Cheoljong get together and spend happy days in anonymity, Bong-Hwan would be left all alone in 2021 T_T I'm hoping the writers decide not to make him too sad, maybe give him a Cheoljong-reincarnation to stay happy with! :3

No, Netflix wants big Hallyu stars, and a generic plotline starring 'koreans' in it. They don't want this for sure (a saeguk with non a-listers).... The national/ international ratings are a proof they should fire their Korean-content selector.
So, he already found out HJ betrayed him. Good! HJ is done now.
I hope that's true :P She'd be done for, when he finds out how she manipulated the truth and 'pretended' to be his savior and stole So-Young's credit :D

Absolutely, like I see know way they can alter history right? CJ died at 32, Cheorin died 9 years after that T_T Unless they have it planned to fake their deaths and spend rest of their lives running a noodles restaurant, somewhere in the countryside. They can only be together in the present time-line, which means a CJ in 2021 should be existing :P (unless ofcourse, they have planned for a 'sad' ending) T_T

Yep.. also somebody who entered his body at an age where we aren't really aware of our 'genders' (hence, less 'gender-conflict')..... Coincidentally, that is also around the time/age he fell into the well and got trapped. Like what if the 'Lake' is a portal for Cheorin... while the 'well' is a portal for Cheoljong? :O
Any bets, Hwa-Jin muttered out loud 'I should have never taken the ledger, and hidden it from you, and never should have given it to the Dowager Queen'...? while the King was pretending to be asleep/ deaf from the explosion? **No wonder he is ambivalent towards her....
What if the reason why Cheoljong has a 'memory issue' from the past, is because he ALSO is a spirit from the future (but somebody who entered CJ's body at a younger age?) o.O
Yeah, HJP's characterization is fairly consistent.
I LOVED this little quirk of his... and he didn't outgrow it, after all those years of snapping at Halmeoni at her old Corn-Dog shop... He is always driven into a corner, then he verbally snaps. And immediately regrets it, apologizes/ and or does something to rectify the situation. Goes onto show *how* pure he is at heart (no fake pretense of being okay with the situation and smiling sweetly.... and then apologizing after getting it out of his system)... T_T The world doesn't deserve HJP. And this has nothing to do with which team/ ship we belong to. The only thing cuter than this is the scrubbies made by NDS.
hmm, tvn shows usually win at other cross-platform award shows... like Hyun Bin got the Daesang at Apan Awards this year... so there is still some hope!... Awards within a channel platform is less competitive afterall, hence, i think a little less prestigious! :D
Apparently this drama is on a list of feel good TV shows. This is the least feel good TV show I've ever watched.…
Well, tbh, it has a 'feel-good' poster and a 'feel-good' OST... so whoever picked this show either didn't watch till the finale, or relies on superficial stuff!
it has managed to combine comedy and palace politics perfectly and the acting of everyone is topnotch... only…
Last 2 weeks especially were nail-biting, and hence the rating-surge. From ep 6/7 onwards, it's consistently got more amazing. They shaved off around 15 mins per episode beyond that, so the episodes feel tight at just a little over 1 hour. PLUS, every episode ends in a cliffhanger (so easy for binge-watching). Each cliffhanger is also different starting around the 5/6 ep week (i.e. not every episode ends on: whether Mr. Queen will make it back to his world or not).... and that keeps things interesting and refreshing. And just like @ponnu said, it's a perfect blend of comedy and politics. The politics is simple enough to know who is on which team and who has what motive, but not dumb enough to make you think 'how the hell are these morons even alive in this dog-eat-dog world?'
Thanks for you reassurance! ^^

This show is driving me insane, and I am living for it! xD
