They could have tried to charge Non with attempted murder, but I'm not even sure they'd get that right considering that he'd basically had a mental breakdown by that point.

As for Jin, you're are ignoring the highly illegal circumstances behind him filming and uploading that sex video. You've also ignored the illegal implications of Jin not telling the police that Tee and Top were the last two to see Non, which would have prompted an investigation into Non's whereabouts. You're also ignoring the illegal implication of Jin profiting from a project that he knew didn't belong to him or his group and lying about who the IP belonged to in order to do so. AND there are still two eps to go of what Jin may still do.

I think the point in the end, is both Non and Jin have done f*cked up things.

I dunno, I'm equally baffled. I honestly wonder sometimes if another Chinese BL with a well written (and healthier non-rapey) story had become popular back then, if Chinese BL's would still have ended up censored, or so strongly censored anyway, to the point where there isn't even hand holding or hugging allowed between same sex pairs.

Addicted was actually awful, I've always been confused by why people hail it as though it's some great show. Mainland China has done plenty of better BL shows, censorship notwithstanding. For me Addicted didn't even rate. But you say this one is not like that?

Ah I see. I always figured anyone who hadn't see a show up to date wouldn't watch FMV's. They're automatic spoilers generally. But 11 eps are plenty of footage for a vid!

Exactly. Each and every one of these trash kids knew every wrong thing they did explicitly and they all acted with varying degrees of malicious and harmful intent.

I dunno where this idea came from that grown ass (basically normal and fully functional) teenagers don't know right from wrong. Even Non (who was probably on SSRI's, possibly SNRI's or/and mood stabilizers) cannot be excused for most of his poor choices. He was a victim of teenagers far, far worse than him, but he was also wrong and used very poor judgement for some of the things he did and chose.

You make some good points about the difference in culture and country and what's accepted even if it's not acceptable. And yes, people forget that no matter how progressive/PC/woke the world is now, the reality is that these things happen and will continue to happen, both consensually and non-consensually. Just as you have your example you mentioned, I myself knew at least three people in high school who were sleeping with teachers/older people, and they were not only doing it willingly, but they also thought it made them more mature and they had no hang ups about it. One of them was particularly flippant. Just because something is illegal, morally wrong, taboo or whatever, doesn't mean it ain't happening by choice of those involved.

What I posted was just to state that the depiction of what happened between Non and Keng didn't come across as non consensual at all. Non's behaviour before, during and after all point to it having been consensual.

And we've come full circle. My original post never said it was legally or morally acceptable. I said it was consensual as per the points I listed watching in the show that depicted it as such. So my opinion remains unchanged.

I'll be real with you, I'm almost at the end of s02 and yes, it is generic. It's also predictable, somewhat far fetched, it really stretches the idea of police procedure, organized crime and corruption, and it's got plot holes. Additionally, I don't think it deserves such a high rating , it's definitely not better than, say, The Devil Judge for example. Not even 2 seasons is worth one season of TDJ.

BUT it's very, VERY entertaining. It's also pretty funny, action packed and it has a main lead who is likeable and who it's good to see win, but also good to see get beaten up. If those three things are something you're into, like me, you'll be able to overlook where this show is lacking and around ep 3 or 4 you'll probably start really enjoying it.

Ngl, this show can be very entertaining in many ways, but it's hampered greatly by it's predictability. Everything works out too conveniently for the main characters no matter what they get into, there is 0% suspense, and Kim Do Gi would have to be borderline superhuman to manage the things he does with such little injury, repercussion or physical aftermath.

I hope with S03 they change things up a bit, the last minute saves barely carried 2 seasons, I was keen for the last three eps just to be over.

My comment was based on the original comment only. I was being sarcastic, because the OP was making it sound like the actors should not be happy acting in this series, when this show is really great and I doubt they're unhappy at all.

That's not how age of consent works. Close in age exception (Romeo and Juliet law) might be closer to what you're thinking of for minors. Although I don't think Thailand has the Romeo and Juliet Law.
