It doesn't deserve such a low rating. The show is exactly what its write up says it's about and it's well acted…
And yet there are still people here voting it down because of exactly that, not liking pairings/ships/actors and the characters portrayed as exactly what they're supposed to be as per the blatantly stated plot of the drama. I think The Outing is very good so far, right up to episode 7. I'm enjoying the quiet unsettled tone and cinematography choices, and I like the natural dialogue flow. The actors are all doing very well here, their portrayals feel professional and not forced and I'd suggest people ignore the rating and watch it only if they can handle what's in the tags.
People saying that maybe Tan is not the one who killed the uncle because that's just phee's pov i get it but do…
The fact that Tan/New conspired to murder would def get him locked up, no question. Even though he hasn't directly killed anyone, he'd go down with the others who have killed and done criminal activities simply because he is responsible for setting this in motion, it's the same as intent to kill. But what I appreciate about him, is that he seems totally fine with it, I feel like he's in it, all or nothing, and he'll face whatever comes after. As they say, someone with nothing to lose is the most dangerous kind of person.
So, I hope he gets his revenge, and I accept that he's either getting locked up, or he'll die somehow. He's still gangsta.
THIS SHOW IS TOO DAMN GOOD! I AM LOVING THIS SHIIIIIIIT!Tan/New
Firstly some VERY memorable moments in this ep!
Jin: "I was the one who exposed Non. I was the one who took the video of Non and Mr Keng and put it on the internet." [ICK LEVEL 11/10. Thanks for FINALLY admitting it!]
Tee: "If I had known more I never would have drugged Non and sent him away. I was fooled by my uncle too." [PFFFFFFTffffffttttttt.]
Fluke: "The f*ck with that! You're playing the victim now?" [Congrats Fluke, that's the first honest, true and smart thing you've said since the beginning! Well done.]
Jin: "Non's family got f*cked up because they thought he ran away with Mr. Keng. You saw it with your own eyes!" [...????? YOU ALL SAW IT WITH YOUR OWN EYES B*TCH, BUT YOU ALL SAID NOTHING AND YOU PROFITED FROM NON'S WORK. I mean, any of them could easily have told the police who was the last person/people Non was with, prompting an investigation but NOOOOO, they're ALL trash.
NOW, THEORIES:
Phi certainly confessed A LOT but I still can't shake the feeling that he's playing Jin. I mean, New didn't look upset at Phi at all when Jin exposed him to everyone and Phi admitted he told him. Like it was planned, like at the height of tension they decided to confess who Tan really was to push everyone else to confess too. And even before that, Phi was acting sus. He barely reacted to Jin admitting what a shit he is, and then he very conveniently, right at that moment, spotted the axe that could get them out of where they'd been trapped for so long. And then curiously uninjured and so calm, he possibly lead Jin in circles in the forest only to 'save and protect him' by getting him back to the house AFTER he confessed. So, two possibilities.
1) Phi is playing Jin and it was all intended to get him to finally confess what he did with the video. If so, mad props to his deception game, WELL PLAYED SIR. 2) Phi really did flip on New for Jin and he really did compare what he said to Non and what Jin did to Non as being anywhere near the same level of a-hole, which, no, and he thinks of Jin as anything other than utter a pos. If that's the case, then ZERO RESPECT SIR.
About White, after this episode, I really am wondering if my dude is a cop?? Like, that would legit be awesome. Because technically, he hasn't seen anyone kill anyone, until the latest scene where Fluke shot Top directly (nice one btw), so he couldn't have called any of it in. And then Fluke broke the radio. THE POSSIBILITY! I'd love it if he was!! Undercover cop, White!
FURTHER COMMENTS:
Tan/New <3333333 I mean really, this guy is just owning these b*tches. He's in, all or nothing and that's gansta. And I'm not sorry Top got shot, even if he lives, he deserved to get shot. Although that's an abdominal wound, so yeah, no, probs won't live. Fluke, former future doc, obvs knew an abdominal wound would likely kill him without a hospital nearby, so yeah, Fluke needs a bullet or jail too. And what that uncle guy did to Non was so shit. If Non IS dead, then all the more reason that Tee needs to be the next one to take a bullet. Live or die, he should at least get shot. All vengeance aside, Tee (and Top) are 100% accomplices to murder, it's death or jail.
So, varying levels of criminal activites have thusly been carried out so far by: Tee Top Jin Fluke Por (not that it matters) New (pretty sure he's ready to go down for what he's doing though)
Legally in the clear: White (so far)
Unknown: Phi
Super keen to see this sh*t escalate even further!!! This show is deserving of a MUCH higher rating, seriously this is so well done and the ACTING is awesome. I also love that Tee's make up actually looked like he'd taken a good few fists to the face instead of the 'soft' corner blush make up around the eye or at the corner of the lip that we too often see in BL's. You get punched in the face it shows, and it doesn't look pretty. I appreciate it. I appreciate this show. Great ep. Kudos to the actors and writers!
Over all a solid show with a solid closing. How a show ends can make a lot of difference and The Sign managed to bring it home nicely and on a 'happy ending' note, albeit a little rushed, it was still satisfying.
There are unanswered questions and open ends, but HOPEFULLY that means we'll get a S02 and since all the main history and character intros are largely out of the way, we might get a more fleshed out story on the main characters, and even some insight into the history of Garuda Sakuna and Wansarat. I could easily go for more fight/action scenes tbh. That would be fun! I also wouldn't mind seeing more about Yai and Sand, I mean, we got Khem and Thongthai's backstory, now I'd like Yai and Sand's getting together story and more scenes with them. Their reunion scene in ep 12 was 🫶 I would love to see more.
Some good action scenes in the final. I am a bit disappointed we didn't get a bigger final fight scene between Phaya and Chalothon, just a bit of a struggle, but it was still a great scene, quite intense, emotional and meaningful. The same can be said for their 'sexy' scene, I enjoyed the soft intimacy of it the most, the talking, touching and closeness was 🤌 Many BL shows underestimate how much weight non-sexual intimacy and simple kissing carries but the The Sign really served in that department many times. We got plenty of non-sexual intimacy in this show, which was really awesome. That said, their sexual intimacy scenes (and the actors chemistry) was on point too. They rate third for me in BL actor male lead chemistry after watching this series.
And on the topic of this being Babe's first role, he really did a great job, I wouldn't have thought it was had people not mentioned it so many times here. I will say though, that while Babe really nailed his heavy emotional/crying scenes, he was so GOOD in those, I do think he could improve a bit in the verbally and visually expressed anger/affection/shock area. In some instances when he was angry or shocked or affectionate, I found it was a little lacking, but not in anyway that badly affected Tharn's character. Perhaps because Tharn's character was meant to come across as quite level headed and a bit reserved, so it wasn't overly noticeable.
All of the cast really did a fantastic job though, despite the police work being a little abysmal and laughable sometimes, the portrayal of them being cops in physical fitness, fight scenes and weapons handling was very well done, I really enjoyed that aspect this show! I was also fine with the CGI, I'm not overly picky about that. I don't much care about how good/bad CGI is as long as it's passable, it's more about a story for me. I mean, I didn't even watch Avatar because the plot didn't interest me. I like the mythical story in The Sign though, my first time learning more about the whole Naga origin thing (outside of fanfiction), and it was quite enjoyable.
The end of ep 12 was good, although I don't think the shadow of facial hair suited Billy 😂 and I'm not too concerned about the post credit scene, people seem to know who that was that showed up, but I have no idea who that dude is. Seems the character is the same kind of being as Phaya used to be though and so there might be some new conflict coming. Keen for the special!
All said, I have no regrets about watching this, I would absolutely rewatch it in future and would definitely recc it IF someone is into action themes and supernatural plots! The Sign has met the latest BL standard (for me), which was set by IFYLITA last year.
Reviewed. [going to finish my second The Sign FMV now ya'll]
New/Tan is definitely the most dangerous one in the group. He has nothing to lose. I don't think anyone dying…
"New/Tan is definitely the most dangerous one in the group. He has nothing to lose. I don't think anyone dying was his plan, but I think you can tell he doesn't care." THIS is exactly why I'm loving his character.
Hi, is there anyone who can recommend some bl dramas, I’ve literally only watched 2, and I would like to watch…
Here's a list I made of BL's I think are totally worth watching, the list is short because I'm picky: https://kisskh.at/list/4Ko6OAK4
The 'funny' ones on my list would probably be: Together With Me (this is one of the original BL's, and best imo, can be found on YT) Together With Me: The Next Chapter (although it's a little more serious)
But all of these BL's have underlying tones of humor. Hope you find something! Welcome to the BL scene!
why is the rating for this so low?? i mean other than being a little boring it is by no means the worst thing…
It doesn't deserve such a low rating. The show is exactly what its write up says it's about and it's well acted imo. I assume people just rate it low because of 'ships' or liking and not liking this actor or that actress, or finding issues with infidelity/age gaps/rivalry/promiscuity, etc, as though those things don't happen in everyday life hence why it's used in the story here. I doubt much consideration goes into the actual content, which is stated as what is being depicted.
I'm gonna head out ya'll, only remembered ep 10 today, and realized I'm just not feeling like watching it, so best to let it go. My opinion is: Over all, it just got too 'soft' and 'fluffy' for me, lacked direction and intensity and the characters seemed to become too callow as the episodes went on, it's like they went backwards. It started out so strong, and then started to slip. ✌️
I dont ship any of the couples it would be very ignorant and insensitive to have pheejin end up together. Whether…
I agree that none of these 'ships' should sail, as it were. Bunch of ick and unhealthy relationships and messed up shady and morally dubious people, all of them. This show is worth the watch for THE PLOT imo. It's serving, seriously. People need to appreciate how good this is turning out to be. It's really good. Whether or not Tan/New comes away unscathed from that cabin, I hope he gets his revenge.
So I didn't like Addicted at all...is this better? Is it the same exact story, just new actors? Rapey like Addicted? Anyone willing to offer up some clarity?
So, I hope he gets his revenge, and I accept that he's either getting locked up, or he'll die somehow. He's still gangsta.
