I'd like to hear what you think regarding this:We have seen Phee take charge in the present with the murderer…
Some answer to the questions about Phi possibly misleading Jin:
'Lulling him into a false sense of security by 'protecting' him'
'Jin was a witness to murderer chasing them, and Phi can't expose that he is a part of the revenge plot so it must look authentic'
'Save the best for last' also comes to mind. Jin recording (and possibly posting) that vid technically was the cruelest to Non, for having 'befriended' him and then doing that to him. Imagine how sweet it would be to save his suffering for last? Also, he was the last to survive in the movie they made. The show is giving us a lot to think about.

two weeks is that long especially when trying avoid spoilers, which has been impossible. doing a paid live stream…
Sorry to say, but the cost logic still doesn't make sense.

To be clear, I think IF should have put up a paywall for the entire series to begin with. And someone has mentioned that they could even have charged pay per view for the final ep (separate from the serious fans who wanted to watch all the extras with the actors). A pay per view for the final ep would have earned them MUCH more, would STILL be earning right now in fact, however, the PRICE would still need to be adjusted. Also, for myself, if they had done a paywall for the entire series, and it had been as much as the cost of even one of my streaming services for a whole month for just 12 eps of a show in contrast to having access to hundreds of shows, I still would NOT pay for it.
The cost for value does not balance.

This is not about them charging, charging is perfectly fine, this is about how much they were charging.

Example:
I'm sure you know Game of Thrones is one of the the most expensive series ever made, right? Nowadays, per episode is $3.99 on Prime, six episodes per season. Paying for a whole season is slightly cheaper at $19.99. That seems expensive right? GoT cost around $15 million to make...PER EPISODE. How much was the single episode view for The Sign?? And GoT was on a streaming service, HBO, when it first came out and still is, at $9.99 per month, with viewers having access to all of HBO's other content too, not just the one show. And yes, this is an extreme example, I'm not trying to compare production on these two projects because they cannot be compared financially on any front, I would just like to highlight what I mean by being worth the cost and how a multi million dollar show like GoT still needed to rely on a streaming service to make back some of their money. And you know what? Because of how many people were signed up and also chose to sign up to HBO, a full streaming service, GoT made a sh*t ton of money from being on HBO, despite how many people pirated that show.

Moreover, one series does not equal the cost of a monthly subscription to ANY streaming service, let alone one episode, because the access to content and length of service provided is not equal by a mile.

I'm not judging anything about you choosing to pay for it though, as a person who has my fan interests (as previously mentioned) even if it's a bit out of my budget or doesn't financially make total sense, I will pay for it and that's my choice. But you seem to be judging how other people, or just the OP?, chooses not to drop a full streaming service to pay for one episode of The Sign, and that doesn't balance. To my understanding also, the OP seemed to originally have complained about the duration of time people have to wait to watch on YT, before it escalated into a discussion about what they should be able to afford.

IF is choosing to release their shows their way and no fans can change that. But if making the shows are financially difficult and they want to make back some money, they should reassess their choices. Again, that is what streaming services are for. Note, I am saying this, even though I don't pay for iQiyi/Viki/Gagaoolala etc. I also struggle sometimes to watch shows I want to support financially, in the end, many people turn to unofficial links, but at least the shows who are on the streaming services behind a paywall still earn revenue from the many people already paying for those services.

Alls I'm saying is, the cost was not worth what they were offering, not to everyone at least, and that is cause for some strife in some viewers.

two weeks is that long especially when trying avoid spoilers, which has been impossible. doing a paid live stream…
I'm not tryna get into this, but this argument doesn't make sense. The reason I wouldn't pay for the final ep was because it was unreasonably high. Higher than my monthly subscriptions for Prime and Netflix PUT TOGETHER, two networks which give me access to HUNDREDS of shows worth of content, not just a few hours viewing for the final episode of a series. (not everyone is interested in the singing/dancing etc)

I'm not against a paywall for the entire show, and I don't know IF's reasons for not making the entire series paid, but the price, imo, was overkill. They could probably have made more from fans who'd have committed to the entire series paid from the get go. Air the first ep free and then pay for the rest of summat, like many shows do. This is exactly why paid streaming sites exist. I don't pay for Viki and iQiyi but MANY people do. Maybe IF will realise this and put their next project behind a paywall so they can earn for their work, as they deserve.

The unfortunate thing is most inter fans won't go for that unless they got the cash to throw around, or their fandom investment is next level, and because of the large airing gap, by the time they air that final ep, the level of hype and viewership will have decreased and will possibly trickle in as opposed to a rush.

There are those who are all in, gone on a fan thing, and there also aren't. I, for example, am an 'aren't' on this topic.
So, example: would I pay such a high amount for a premier cinema showing of Deadpool 3, YES, I would, because I'm gone on Deadpool as a fan. Would I pay such a high amount just to watch ONE ep of an entertaining TV show? Nope. I don't feel bad about that, we all have our interests and priorities. Nothing wrong with it.

I would just suggest maybe, all the fans who don't want to wait and watch the unofficial posted link of the ep, don't forget to watch the YT release to support IF's and company's work. ✌️

Because Non doesn't know that Jin leaked that video... In Non's mind Jin was only one who talked with him as a…
Hmm, different possible perspectives:

1. All Jin managed to get out was 'I didn't-' which could have been following up with something else, such as 'I didn't mean to post it.' / 'I didn't know what I was doing, I was drunk/angry.' OR 'I didn't post it.'

2. Fluke doesn't actually say Tee leaked the video, he is collectively referring to the things all of his sh*tty friends did to Non. He says 'I know you all so well.' when only Tee is standing there. He didn't come across as to be talking only about Tee singularly as a culprit. And Top's accusation also could have been centered on Tee drugging and taking Non to his uncle, since Top was with him and Top went along with Tee's sh*t behaviour.

3. This scene seems to have been shot with such an OBVIOUS difference specifically to confuse viewers, it can also be argued that Jin posted it on different sites, not just Twitter. The posting of the video seems to point to Jin, but could still technically go a different way, although he still recorded it with malicious intent in the first place and he said 'I'm the one who needs to apologize the most' because either he posted it, or if someone else posted it, they got the footage only because the footage existed in the first place.

Also, Jin is the first one to question Non's admission that Tee took him to open the horse account, which, dodge. Shouldn't he be the first one to believe Non since he knows how trash his friends, and especially icky Tee, are? In the end, Jin is as much of an a-hole as the rest of them, even Non did a-hole things to Phi, even BEFORE the trash friend group came along.

And in fact, all of these scenes are shot ambiguously so that people can discuss and debate them, which is great. It's a wild ride! I hope everyone keeps debating and speculating and in the end, we can all see how it turns out and say 'I knew it' or 'I didn't see that coming' or whatever.

For all of those in this forum trying to defend this gang and judging Non as he is in the same position as them.…
I'm glad someone said something about the CP's and shipping thing, I kept scrolling past the shipping comments forcing myself not to say anything because I don't get how THAT'S what people are focused on when there is so much more to this show. For me, as someone who didn't know any of these actors previously and doesn't actually care for any of them being paired together, everyone is fair game, and I'm just genuinely enjoying watching the story unravel.

On another note, if people want BL's to stop being considered 'separate' and 'lesser' than other shows, then when a 'BL' like this comes a long with a plot that is far more interesting than who's gonna' be in love in the end, give it the credit it deserves.
If this show turns out to just be some BL typical 'love story' ending, it will be a MAJOR disappointment. They've got me expecting more from this show, and I hope they come through.

I got curious how it went down in the manga and Kurosawa is briefly embarrassed by what Adachi heard but he accepts…
Thanks, but I won't read that. Japanese BL manga are almost always boring nonsense. It's why I skip and drop so many Japanese BL live adaps. I watched the Thai CM because the Japanese live action was good. But since it happened that way in the manga, it once again makes me think the Japanese adaptation was better than the manga 😂

Ok, real talk, I am struggling not to head out on this one. As it is the extra drawn out overcompensation of 'fluffy softness' in a show usually makes me bored because it's very unrealistic and tedious, especially for adults, but with Karan's excess simp level (I mean in ep8 did he really open the bottle cap so Achi didn't need to make himself 'tired' doing it and then he wasn't even remotely put off by someone reading his private thoughts for weeks -did that happen in the manga??- just because he's so desperately in love? He doesn't feel indignant or even just a little exposed? And Achi was just like 'yeah, soz, you can be mad, I get it bro, I'm totes good with whatever your reaction is'. I mean...

And then with how Tay and New just don't quite hit the romantic chemistry mark (Yes, I watched to the end of ep9 -albeit with a lot of skips- and I saw the final scene and it ain't changed my mind, especially when they panned out, they shouldn't have panned out, they were standing so awkwardly ya'll...) and yeah, it's difficult to hang on, even despite the fact that I like Tay Tawan and that the humor has been fun. But even Jinta went from being cutely attracted to Min to coming off overly eager, and I had been enjoying their story line and gradual relationship dev before.

I feel like I should drop it now, when I can still give it at least an 8 because the start was really strong and I don't dislike the characters, but I'm TORN. Do I keep watching and hope the awkwardness and cringey simping disappears...

Things are adding up with regards to everyone else, now I just need to know more about White. He also started…
When I think back to the hallucination I wonder about mental health in Non's family. (I say this because since two eps ago I've been suspecting White is New).

Another FANTASTIC episode! Damn. I knew Non would lose his shit somehow and I'm only sorry he didn't actually stab Top that first time he tried, even just a leetle. That ick bastard deserves it.

And after this I'm even more convinced that Phi and White (who might be New) are working together for revenge, with Tee and Jin as their main targets. I mean, someone has to have found out that Jin was responsible for posting that vid, and White is a Computer Engineer major so he could manage that with the right resources. Which is why it's also sus that he's in control of all the radios and stuff at the cabin, controlling external communication and trapping them all there. And it wouldn't be too hard to figure out that ickyTee is involved with that illegal group, Phi's father is an inspector after all, Phi might be able to learn some info about the horse account case from him.

Now we just need confirmation that Non is alive and there's no ghost sh*t going on, and who knows, maybe Keng is even in on it. Teaching all these f*ckers a lesson.

If they wanted to earn international revenue, they should have made the whole series paid on YT. I would have paid the YT subscription to watch the whole series weekly no problem, I did it with SDC 5, no complaints. But charging a fee that is more than the MONTHLY cost of my Netflix and Prime subscriptions together, to watch a single ep, is whack. No way I'm paying that sh*t.

Ok.. I have a little question.. I have seen some people state that the one who filmed that video aka Jin, did…
The scene is filmed in a way that viewers can speculate in order to create more suspense, and so there are those who think Jin did it and those who think he didn't, and that it was someone else. It's up to you to decide what you think until the show confirms either situation.

First ep in a Japanese BL and we already have the 'knew each other as kids' and 'no, stop but doesn't actually stop' tropes. 😂😂 at least the latter passed quickly. I will watch ep 2 though, it's interesting enough. Seems like it's gonna be a slice of life sort of BL which is nice for passing the time.

I find it interesting how people are still defending all of Non's actions. My (probably unpopular opinion) is that while Non has def been victimized in certain aspects, there is also plenty that he is responsible and wrong for. All of these kids are equally, and then in some ways, worse than one another, and Non is no exception. Being a 'teenager' is not an automatic excuse for doing dumb sh*t or bad sh*t, especially not when they are doing it so blatantly, openly, with intent and consciously. And in Non's case, possibly pathologically to some extent due to his clear mental problems.

As for Non cheating, I feel like everyone's glazed over Phi literally saying 'So, you're still being the same as before, huh?', 'Isn't having only me enough?' and 'I shouldn't have trusted a guy like you.' Also, did nobody notice the LACK of surprise Phi showed when seeing Non with the teacher coming down the escalator? He didn't even hesitate to assume Non was fooling around behind his back. He wasn't even remotely thrown by the fact that it was a teacher. And he didn't seem all that convinced when Non was lying to him, it took him a while to swallow Non's bs in that moment.
Non is promiscuous, this was not his first rodeo.
And that issue is probably only the tip of the iceberg. I mean, Non's parents didn't even seem so shocked to find out he was involved in that horse account scam.

I look forward to seeing the full scope of the story revealed.

YES. The human condition is volatile and chaotic and I love shows that aren't afraid to showcase that! On the BL scene, DFF is showing a more severe version of it, but this was also showcased in T8S, and I remember people complaining about how so many characters were shitty bad people and I wondered if people are walking around with blinders on to not realize that people ARE shitty, it's just the levels that differ and the situations that affect how it presents itself.
Anyway, I'm not gonna' rant haha! I'm enjoying this show, they're all bastards and I'm here for it. Wanna' see how it all goes down, down, down.
