As a person, Tee definitely sucks but as a boyfriend, at least till now he doesn't. When a gun was pointed towards…
Nah, not me, I don't see him as a victim. Plenty of people are hard up for cash for many tragic reasons, and they don't turn to crime. Also he is malicious, his targeted actions towards Non proves that. He picked Non as a victim, not wanting to use others or anyone close to him. He's pretty damn ick. And being a good boyfriend doesn't exempt him from anything imo, Besides, he talked to White like he was a possesssion or a pet;
'You said you'd be obedient.'
Maaaybe it's their relationship dynamic, maybe White is into that, but Tee is still a trash person from my pov.

Yeah it was def more bromance/brother from another mother type vibe, but it was amazing all the same!

The Novel is the standard, NO CONTEST

I agree s03 was strangled with the censorship the most, they came back from a long hiatus from the donghua and it was much more strict, but I still felt all those moments you mentioned in s01 and 2 were too careful, like we'd need to really read in to it (knowing the original story) to pick them up, whereas just the looks conveyed between XZ as WWX and WY as Lan Zhan made up for a lot of the censorship in TU imo xD
The donghua was still amazing though, censorship notwithstanding, just fantastic. But then, every adaptation has been amazing.

YES even the audio drama, I forgot about THAT. I loved it, I enjoyed the extras just as much as I enjoyed the manhua's uncensored unofficial upload done by the artist after the manhua concluded, because both forms of media felt complete in a way the donghua didn't. I loved the original WangXian song written for the audio drama. I would love to have heard WY and XZ sing that, Wuji was beautifully sung by them and I think WangXian would have been too. But just like that kiss you mentioned, we'll never get it 😭

All of this just boils down to how this novel (and it's adaptations ) are timeless and amazing!

Hey! :D I didn't even realize I wrote a comment completely contradicting this until after I posted xD I guess we enjoyed the donghua VERY differently πŸ˜‚ I felt like they totally dried it out. I think the manhua is the least censored and definitely the most accurate to the novel. πŸ€” then TU, then the donghua.

The donghua is actually the most censored. It's sad too, because the art and animation is stunning but they cut so much and entirely killed it. In TU, at least we can laugh at the bromance tag. NO one buys that πŸ˜‚

I'm just rewatching this and wondering if anyone remembers how Phaya was both flirtatious AND a jackass in the beginning of this show, before he caught real feelings πŸ˜‚

Don’t understand why everyone thinks jin is a bad guy
I thought Jin was sus from the very first ep, he reeks of disingenuousness. I feel like he's on his own side and everything he does is ultimately for his own benefit. Sly f*cker. But with the turn of ep 6 at the end, I'm just wondering who he's against and who he's for.
On Dead Friend Forever - DFF Jan 29, 2024
NOW THAT IS A PLOT TWIST. Phi said he DIDN'T KNOW in the first ep, asking questions all curious and confused, HO HO. I didn't see that connection coming. I loved that ending. This episode killed it! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I also STILL think Jin is sus, but now I'm curious about whatever happened between Non, Phi and Jin and how the latter two ended up sleeping together and WHY. Def there's an agenda there, SOMEONE has an agenda. Also Tee and Top are such gross f*cks, IIIIICKKK. I feel bad for White, like, how did he even end up with a trash boyfriend like Tee? And Fluke? Worst kind of human who stands for nothing and goes along with anything. Kill it with fire.
Hella good show.

FINALLY got to watch this and Real Talk, this is a legitimately entertaining movie to watch.
Beginning was a little rushed to get characters introduced, and it was about as predictable as one expects an underdog movie plot to be, some dance moves were also exaggerated for cinematic flare, BUT those minor things did not take away from it being an entertaining movie.

It was well acted and fun and funny and emotional and heartfelt imo. I liked the cast and characters, and I don't just mean all of the familiar dancers, I mean his mother, uncle, love interest and various coworkers. All of them were likeable. I also like Jiang Long (I saw him for the first time in Luoyang and then briefly in Under The Skin) and I considered watching The Future Handbook, but it's unsubbed. It was nice to see him here, he's a very emotive actor. I would watch him more if he's cast in shows that appeal to my taste.

On a fan note, about Wang Yibo, imo, this movie is the best thing he has done since TU. I've watched the stuff he's done from before and after TU, and aside from Hidden Blade (which was good), the shows and films he's done have been very MEH. Just grazing above an average level of enjoyment and in some cases not even making it. One and Only was engaging and it held my attention to the point where I rewatched a few scenes and laughed a lot.

There would have been evidence of a struggle on Ning’s body too. They choked her lmao. Absolutely no one would…
It's not like evidence matters, they've been destroying crime scenes with their presence every time they walk in since the start. And then they are apparently responsible for forensics too. It's a whole mess 🀣

Well we didn't get an explanation for a half dead Phaya wanting smex when he showed up, BUT I guess it was supposed to be a 'desperate for physical contact after a near death experience' trope. Could have been done with a little more finesse and the transition from the door to the bed could have had a little more context, but no big loss, the after scene was good, with verbal communication and stuff, which, necessary. Also, Phaya seems plenty recovered anyway, maybe it's the supernatural side of him or something. Imagination take the wheel!

The police work is just...I mean, we had a lot more 'YOα‘Œ α—ͺOα‘Ž'T α”•α—©Y' moments of them 'figuring things out' and also, it's a police station, those three acting cool while tryna be getting fired, I mean, aren't there cameras inside the building? Also The people who set up Ning's death to look like suicide put the syringe in the same hand of the arm they injected her and I just 🀣 but you know what? I'm not here for the police work.
I'm here for the centuries old vendetta and Phaya and Tharn coming out on top. (there are several puns in those last four words from this episode alone and I'm not even sorry 😏)

I'm keen ya'll. Chalothon is up to something and I suspect he's sort of a puppeteer in a lot of the shady sh*t going on, or at the very least, he's been using the corrupt police to get at Tharn. There's a fight coming and I'm here for it. This episode was interesting and engaging and the pacing is still good. But yeah, the eps are starting to feel too short Ω©(βŒ―κ’¦ΰΊ΄Μ†α΅”κ’¦ΰΊ΄)ΫΆα΅’α΅α΅α΅Žα΅Žα΅Ž

Title Last Twilight Spoiler
There's a lot of back and forth about whether it was a good ending for Day to get his sight back, and I just wanna' say that for me it wasn't THAT he got his sight back. He was on the donor list, we knew from the start he wanted the transplant, and of course, why wouldn't he want to? That's not the issue.

It was the ridiculous rush and timing of it happening. Too 'fairytale' and way too convenient too. I would have preferred, seeing as how the writers were fine with time skips, that after Day and Mhok had already been together for a few years, maybe even living together and doing well, that a donor became available.

I would have LOVED to see that after he'd lived a few years happily with Mhok despite his being blind, for the show to END at the moment where his family is waiting as the bandages are taken off his eyes in the hospital and maybe Mhok's face is the first thing he sees and he smiles and says "I can see." and close scene. Happy, emotional, meaningful and it just ends there. I didn't need to see how 'normal' his life could be with him as a seeing person, we already know life is easier if we can see. The show was, to a large extent, about him being a non-seeing person and coming to terms with it, so I felt there was no need to show that ending of 12. In the end, two hospital eye reveals cheapened the emotion, ending where we knew he got his vision back would have been enough for me without messing with the tone of the show.
Alls I'm saying.

Well I made it to the end πŸ˜‚ the plot was trash, but not exactly boring for me, there's just a lot of sketchy and ill fitting sh*t going on. But I get what you mean by wasted. MosBank have a new show coming out soon though, so hopefully they won't be wasted again.

is it bad? the rating is not that high but the comments say otherwise
The plot is bad, but the ML chemistry is off the charts. It's a contradiction, but BD is far from the worst BL around. There's a lot of extreme like and hate for this show, but it's mid tbh. Even as a MosBank fan, I mean it, it's mid and tropey in some blegh ways but it doesn't totally blow.

Yes, right, this is true. It's a really good show though.

Finally got around to finishing this, although I skipped large chunks of ep 10. It's not the worst BL, that's for sure, but the content of it is largely vapid overall. Stay by my Side and You Are Mine were both much better than this content/story wise, more interesting at least, and also they made more sense for the ML's getting together, while Gu Jing's personality felt different from beginning to middle and then again at the end, and it was also difficult to figure out why he even liked Liu Li.

But the ML's are fine chemistry and comfortable wise. I don't know if Taiwan will be using continuous pairings in BL like Thailand does, but if they did, these two in another BL with even just a smidge more substance, they would carry it. I was glad to see ShunYu and ShangZhou again, they're def my faves of the three connected BL's. I also like Da Ren as a character.
So yeah, not horrible, just very...empty. I could only give it a 7.
