whoa 7.6? Is it really that bad?
No it's not, it's actually well paced and well acted, with a few minor mistakes made by the writers for certain character choices, although nothing that has ruined the show at all. But that's my opinion, just as the rating and comments section are based on peoples opinions and preferences. If you're hesitating, maybe ask some specific questions to see if the show contains anything you'd like to avoid and you can decide to watch or not based on that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I like this show.

I will do this actually, in hopes of helping the rating, but only after I've watched the final ep and my rating opinion is concluded.

He already annoys me like hell :) And he did almost from the beginning. I think he's that kind that's trying to…
After episode 7 I'm definitely finding SW to be too shallow, yeah. I actually didn't mind that he helped the other two get over a bump of miscommunication, it seemed to work for them for a moment, but I think the way he handles his own connections is a damn mess. What was his behaviour at the barbecue? He's playing games for no reason. I actually hope YH moves on from him now, I was previously hoping he and SW would have a chance, since they haven't even had a date, but after episode 7, nope, no. YH deserves better. They're all overlooking him because of his age though, which, ugh. He's more grounded and mature than all of them if you ask me.

I understand where you're coming from and I felt the same way. It takes off in Ep 3 with some pretty serious stuff…
Ep 4 you say? Hm, I'll try to push through but honestly, I'm not sure I'll make it. It's just so boring.
On His Man Season 2 Jul 7, 2023
I'm only halfway through ep 5 but I just have to have that I don't get it. I'll never get it. The attraction to the walking filter whose face is a different colour than their neck makes no sense to me. Not on men or women. The same thing happened last season. Maybe it's because I feel it's misleading to change one's appearance to that extent, but I'll just never get it. I'm one of those people who really appreciates high res TV and if it's necessary, natural make up ya'll.

I personally like YH the most rn, and I like SW too, but I feel like he's too indecisive, then again, he's expressed that he has insecurities about being liked for who he is, so maybe that explains why he doesn't want to settle on any particular person too soon. But if he keeps messing around, 'playing the field' it's gonna' get annoying. It makes him seem fickle and shallow.

Agreed, do not like Jen, even one tiny bit.

I'm one of the few who don't want to see Jaab get with Jen. I think they should just write them off as two people who just never managed to get it right. But yeah, everything else in the ep wasn't bad, and the whole show is better than La Pluie (which I'm only even watching because of Thian). I don't watch previews though, I'm in the habit of closing an episode the moment it ends, so I don't give myself a headache wondering about the next episode xD

Ep 11's biggest mistake is Pat choosing a break up over talking it through with Jeng and sorting it out. It undermines all the character development he's been gradually making. The second mistake is the fact that they piled on the intimate scenes in ep 10, only to completely ignore that the ML's are a couple in 11. But that's a common mistake in these BL's, I've said before and I'll say again, the writers of these shows don't seem to realize that portraying a couple has nothing to do with making them explicitly kiss or get frisky with each other all the time, there is so much less that can be acted out that will achieve much more believability, intimacy and chemistry. I mean, my personal top 3 on screen M/M ships include two pairings that have never even crossed into a sexually physical relationship (yet), and one that was a censored Chinese BL, and yet the chemistry and feels portrayed are insanely high and really hit hard.

Other than those two things though, I didn't have an issue with this episode. I didn't mind the filler, most of which I figured was done so when Pat got 'hurt' we'd sympathize with him for all of his hard work and enthusiasm, which, no. Didn't work. It's not a serious enough issue imo. As for what Jeng did, it's pretty in line with his controlling character and yes, Pat had a right to be upset that Jeng did it behind his back, but a break up after being 'so madly in love' should be reserved for a major breach of trust or some other serious issue, not for something as small -and arguably necessary- as what Jeng did for the sake of saving a department of peoples jobs. Pat's reaction is overkill tbs.

Also, glad Jen is gone, although he'll probably show up in 12, ugh. (if I'm wrong and he doesn't, or if he and Jaab don't end up together, anyone who's watched 12 feel free to spoil me on this particular outcome please, thanks)

Not much else to say, the show is still fine, and there have been much MUCH MUCH worse BL's than this. I'll still watch episode 12 when it airs.

I wont claim to know much of anything about the Filipino culture and stuff, but how's that rating yo? This show has some fairly heavy content. 13 year olds in the Philippines must be built different.

Still deciding if I want to watch. It looks amazing but censored BL and bromances hurt my heart.
As a fan I'll obviously suggest you watch it, and tell you it's amazing and all that. But if you're biggest concern is the censored things, then I'll just say that as far as I'm concerned, the bromance tag is a formality. It doesn't even matter, it doesn't even belong there. This is a censored love story, not anything close to bromance. There is nothing platonic about the way Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian feel about each other.

Also, the show is amazing and ALL THAT. ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔ

Yeah. BL fans puzzle me. So many complaints about the same plotlines, over and over, but when this series tries…
I agree, I actually pointed out similar things in review for this. The low rating says more about the viewers than it does about the show imo.

The one thing we can all agree on at least, is that Phatit (Gun) is in fact a terrible actor.

This series definetely has its downs but even so, I think that rating 6.5 is way too harsh. It has original plot…
I think the fact that a terrible show like Love in the Air has a high rating kinda exhibits why a show like this is being raked over the coals. It isn't as bad as people are saying it is, a little too slow and some miscasting for sure, but aside from that, it was fine.

I also think it's odd JS didn't say anything. The whole edit was not done clearly, and yeah, maybe that's on purpose. But whatever the case, I hope if he did just call the wrong person, it gets cleared up because I really felt like SW was intending to call YH this time, especially after he admitted his insecurities about himself not being what YH might be expecting. Man, I was so annoyed.

I see what your saying with that second part, and it's an interesting consideration, but if they did that kind of editing to be THAT misleading, that's pretty annoying. Maybe it's just annoying for me though, because I'm hoping SW gives YH a real chance and I don't really have any interest in anyone else's choices, besides maybe Hyun Jin ~( ˘▾˘~)
On His Man Season 2 Jul 2, 2023
No one seems to be mentioning it, so maybe I missed something, but did Yeon Hee call THE WRONG PERSON? Why didn't the edits show the other side of the phone call to Seon Woo if it wasn't JS? They only showed JS talking and then even he seemed confused because YH called him but wasn't talking about him when he came back and I am super confused. JS seemed like the the one who got the call when Yeon Hee went out, even the other dude heard it.
Someone, anyone, did I miss something?

I wasn't going to review this, but I decided to because I read the influx of bad comments and saw the sharp decline in the rating. I almost dropped this on episode 5 myself, but only because it was dragging a bit, but I'm actually glad I watched it to the end because I liked episode 6. It's not nearly as terrible as the current rating and comments make it seem, but that's just my opinion, so I reviewed my opinion. 8/10

Pisaeng: So yeah, as you can see I'm still hot and super rich, wanna' be my bb?
Kawi: I still like Pear.
Pisaeng: *newly confident gay* Sure you do, buddy. (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)

Another great episode. I actually did find Kawi to be cute in this episode. The actor is doing well carrying this character's personality, he's spastically adorkable. And a shout out to Max, who is a boss at ignoring the Awkward Silence® he created when talking to Pisaeng, which LOL.

I also particularly enjoyed the scene where Pisaeng's mother appeared behind Kawi. I haven't found a 'parent interruption' scene so amusing since Mangkorn's mother walked in on him and Yai in Big Dragon.
