They are heavy on marketing their drama. BTS everywhere, sexy photoshoots. I think it's not leaked. And I think…
Bts and leaked footage are NOT the same thing. Also there's a lot of contradictions online rn about whether this footage will cause problems on (specifically) Chinese social media. The release of weekly bts is VERY controlled for all Chinese dramas, they do it for heavy marketing whether it's BL or not, if that clip was released by them officially, it'd be on their marketing pages like all the rest. Imo, leaked footage of ALL productions are wrong. I don't spread it when it happens for western shows and don't agree with it being spread for Asian shows.
All said, I'm not concerned the show will be taken down. They're releasing abroad because they want freedom to air LGBTQ content. I only appeal to people not to spread the footage leaked because those actors still live in China, We may be getting the show, but they may have a hard time in future.
Keep calm and watch on ya'll, and try not to share the leaked footage. (this should just be courtesy for ANY production worldwide honestly, sharing leaks are like spoilers, it's not cool, it's actually a douchebag thing to do.)
So, yeah, the show cannot be touched by China directly since it's airing outside of China HOWEVER, if China's government decides to threaten the careers of the actors who still live and work in China, the production crew and actor management might decide to shelve this. We can hope not, we can hope the actors and everyone else involved understood the 'risk' that their awesome production might blow up, and that they want to push back against the gov and do LGBTQ content anyway, but no one wants anyone's career ruined over it and so it's all pretty messy.
All we can do is not make it worse by sharing around or overhyping the clip that was circulating (and any future leaks that may occur), specifically posters who desperately want click engagement and won't take down their clips; here's looking at YOU, you're being a twat. :D
am i just too desensitised ? the smoking isn't even that bad, yeah he has an addiction but it kinda makes him…
Different people like/dislike different things. If you like it, enjoy it, if it bothers some people they have to endure or drop the show, and then there are others (like me) who don't care either way. This will happen in every show with varying content, it's just how it is. lol
For those waiting on Revenged Love, something else to watch in the meantime, don't forget to watch The Sparkle in your Eye, another proper Chinese BL coming out of Singapore, it's currently on ep 9, it's also a really good show and it's airing on Gaga, Viki and some other sites. ✌️
I think I might be en-route to dropping this, I still haven't worked up the interest to watch ep 11 and 12 will air soon. I am trying to hold out, figure maybe I'll watch them one after the other after it concludes.
As much as I'm enjoying the series I'm worried about the Chinese censorship. They don't like us enjoying much.I…
As others have said already, China can't censor anything, it's not released in China, they have no control over anything airing on international platforms. Just enjoy it.
how often are episodes released? Bc apparently there is 6ep out and it says 2ep per week monday and Tuesday??…
Only 4 eps out rn, going forward should be one ep on a Monday and one ep on a Tuesday, airing free on YT (for most countries, not sure if anyone is geolocked).
I'm confused how this can air lol I saw teasers and they're legit kissing? why are all those big budget BLs still…
Short version: this ( and some other BLs recently) are filmed in China with Chinese actors, but sold and distributed outside of China, so censorship can't touch them. The big budget censored BLs you're referring to have two problems, 1) they've were licensed in China previously before being shelved by the ban, so can't be released without legal issues, 2) the more famous the actors are, the bigger the problem the government has with the BL.
I personally like this one better because the plot is more centered on the characters and their relationship while…
It got shut down and pulled off air before they could get too far, but by that time bro had already kidnapped the one he 'liked' and was tryna force himself on him.
Wait is this drama has kissing scenes bec we know most Chinese dramas esp BL are mostley like bromance vibes or…
This is a proper BL, filmed in China, with Chinese actors, but distributed outside of Mainland China to avoid censorship. There will be all the gay. No worries.
Basically, Suo Wei wants Chi Cheng to fall for him, just so that Yue yue (his ex gf,) can get dumped by Chi Cheng…
From what I assume, it looks like Chi Cheng suspects Suo Wei of having some ulterior motive, but as of the first four eps, he hasn't yet figured out exactly what it is yet.
is there anyone who can dumb down the snake plan for me,I'm not really following it what's wu suo Wei's intention…
Basically, Suo Wei wants Chi Cheng to fall for him, just so that Yue yue (his ex gf,) can get dumped by Chi Cheng and feel the pain he felt at being dumped by her. The whole snek breeding plot is just another reason for Chi Cheng to like/be interested in him because Chi Cheng loves sneks. Suo Wei did NOT think this plan through very well. hehe
