I started rewatching from ep 6 because I thought I missed something about the ML's reactions to the FL. After episiode 5 it seems they were starting to respect and understand each other but then suddenly in ep 6 onwards, the ML was so in love with her but at the same time he's suspicious.
Does anyone else think the development of the ML side was too quick? I have watched only up to ep 10 so maybe I am missing some context here.

Actually, I am proud of her - she really stood up for herself before her family or Su Ye stepped in. I love her dad in this episode - he was funny. And Su Ye, does he always medicinal soup in stock :D

If they follow the typical cliche, it's probably because they decided that she would be the perfect wife material - decent background, good looks and presentable. Most importantly, they probably think she could be moldable, quiet and obedient which was how she was when she was together with her ex. Also, if they marry after being seven years together, it is a romantic story, good for PR.
