I like that Jiang Si’s flashbacks are showing the happy memories as well, not just a constant reminder of her end in the past. It makes the idea of her falling for Yu Qi again more believable.

Episodes 11 and 12 were better, with the plot picking up and the romance beginning to blossom. However, it is growing increasingly tedious to watch characters continuously scheme to either win over Chai or Boonta, neither of whom have any interest in them, or to plot Boonta's demise out of jealousy.

Oh really, she’s a better character in the book? I guessed that she might be Jiang Zhan’s love interest but to have the enemies to lovers trope start for them this way is annoying.
Yes, it is also irritating to see the FL being all nice to her instead of helping her brother.

After 5 episodes, I like the dynamics between the leads. They are both smart, and they listen to and understand each other. It's nice that it's not always the ML saving the FL in distress. She's perfectly capable of saving the day too.
