I love how the story is written about the female characters. In the beginning, everyone was worried about Hao Jia turning bad because of her ambitions but the show did not use any of those tropes. Even during her miserable situation, she didn’t blame anyone else and tried to escape her fate. Same thing with Fang Ru, she did not become that evil first wife. Even though the outcome would not have been good for the ones involved, it was realistic and compelling.

Even though it was futile, I am still proud of Hao Jia for telling that scumbag some home truths!
Also I love the 默契 mò qì (tacit/mutual understanding) between Li Wei and Yin Zheng. They read each other well and Li Wei despite being young is very intuitive.

Yin Zheng my hero! He is such a great strategist and not gonna lie, my heart fluttered when he got out with the umbrella. I love that he acknowledged Yuan Ying but was totally focused on Li Wei.
Was enjoying ep 23 so much until the stupid Prince Song appeared acting like a jerk.

I love seeing how Yang Hua is slowly falling for Qin Shi. Qin Shi too! It’s so natural the way she is starting to lean on him and she’s starting to imagine things 🥰
As much as I don’t trust Li Dai, I’m enjoying their frenemy relationship - all the veiled bitchy remarks 😆
Haven’t watch the previews for ep 18 & 19 yet but I guess my good feeling about Tao Jun Hui will completely be destroyed!
