LOL - you may not have seen Thai dramas but for many of those, the couple gets together in the last 15 minutes…
Yeah I wondered about it when I first started watching Thai drama but have now gotten used to it. There are some excellent ones where the couple gets lots of romance screen time, and leave the audience very satisfied :D
Itβs a slow burn filmmaking style in which the scenes develop slowly, as if in a real world. Some people may…
Well said. I know as the ML, LJM got a lot of hate and many felt that he didn't deserve NM. However, I really enjoy watching the progression of their relationship, from a relationship that was not balanced to one of friendship and finally acceptance of how important they mean to each other. The character growth for both characters is also well done and you can see the attitude changes for LJM, even when it comes to handling his dad. As for NM< she got criticized for being with Su Wei Ran but I feel that is pretty in line with her personality. Always optimistic, always willing to give it a try. Given her past affection for him, why not give the relationship a chance? I like the details you pointed out - the director's hints are subtle but nicely delivered.

True, NM should not accept LJM so quickly although I have a feeling that she would have if she was not already in a relationship with Su Wei Ran . She already had feelings for LJM and that was in spite of how he treated her in the past. Anyway, having read the spoilers, we know the relationship with the SML is a plot device for the next phase of LJM's character growth :D
I like this drama. I like the ML/FL dynamics. Though a jerk, I like the ML :D
Me too! The redemption of a jerk ML is one of my favourite Dramaland tropes. I still like LJM because there is realistic character growth, and the pacing for it is good.

I agree, it is aggravating - I would rather have less angst with her being non-committal to both. Like you said, having the ML try his best to woo her without the complication of her being in a relationship would have been entertaining enough!

Like you, I would prefer to see more of her focused and thriving in her career but maybe the script writer that they needed to add some flavor in the other aspects of her life since some people may not want to watch too much of the business side. Actually, putting her in a relationship when she was not ready is also quite realistic because many people do get into that kind of situation. Either because they are pressured into it, not knowing how to say no, not wanting to hurt the other people's feelings, or they thought they should at least give it a try
I, 100% agree with you! Why can't we have more of these types of dramas than the usual stereotypical ones - I…
Yeah, hopefully they will read our comments and put them to good use for other shows. I think the show is doing well, in making it realistic and relatable. I like NM because her character is going through many of the experiences that most of us working folks are going through. I just wish that I had an awesome female boss like Shi Ying as a mentor!

Yes, that's true. I meant in general, the scriptwriters must have analyzed audience feedback from other shows and dramas, and understood that many of us want the ML to grovel and go through some proper character development and redemption before finally getting the FL. Overall, I like the story - it is very relatable, from the mean boss to the FL being in a relationship that she is not entirely comfortable with.
Just curious, which parts do you not like other than maybe the Lang Hua stabbing? As someone mentioned, most of…
Overall, it is the inconsistencies that irritate me. Like two supposedly incredibly smart resourceful guys being fooled so easily - HFX not knowing how BFX's other identity, and Huang Chao being fooled by Wu Yi Yuan. How come Wu Yi Yuan can discover BFX's identity as Princess XiYun just based on one incident and HFX, despite having tracked BFX's every move, and knowing where she was at any time from the beginning of the show still have no idea? It's really the stupidity of BFX's master and now his daughter that annoyed me the most. For someone who was supposed to be wise, the master has done some thoughtless things like in the past, going to Mount Wu to seek his friend but not inform his sect, then landing the entire sect in prison and being so gullible in the end...I don't even want to talk about Lang Hua...that character has been so stupid from the get go except when she helped BFX understand her feelings for HFX better Isn't the Fountain Abode supposed to be this amazing all-knowing network, so why did they not know that the House of Jade was being investigated? They are supposed to be HFX's eyes and ears but the moment he left the capital, they are so useless. For the most part, the scheming and the attempts to outsmart one another were executed well and the plot is engaging but it is frustrating when suddenly poof! the smart ones seem to have brain farts
I like the maturity of this show. People acknowledging their feelings and voicing them to avoid regrets. Zheng Yu Hang is such an awesome friend, such high EQ and he knows how to read the room. The scriptwriters must have read many audience comments because they are giving us what we want which is for the ML to go through challenges before finally winning the FLβs heart. Too often the ML gets the FL too easily even after doing horrible things so in this case, I like LJM having to suffer a bit first. I do feel for him though because I still prefer him to the SML
I do like the female empowerment message in this show - HFX often saying how nice it is to be protected by BFX, that he has no worries with her around...It's nice when the ML so appreciates the FL, and vice versa
It feels a bit like oh-shit-we-only-have-eight-episodes-left-must-wrap-up-plot-lines.
It does but I am going to give the show a chance. I thought the same thing when I was watching the Blue Whisper and in the end, everything was wrapped up pretty nicely except the show stupidly cut out one crucial scene,
I feel that the script is getting worse, definitely suffered from all the behind the scenes drama with the producer and director. Started off with a smart and tight script, but now the characters including the leads at times are getting sloppy and seemed to have lost their intelligence
