I dont think so they are promoting abusive behavior whether it is verbal or pyshical n there is no repercussions…
I didn't say it is normal or acceptable. I said it is realistic and just because the show included it, does not mean the show is promoting abuse. Also, the female empowerment message is not lost for me just because NM did not report the slap to the police.

If you are referring to LJM's harsh words, always discouraging NM's ambition in the past, I don't think the show is promoting such behavior. Instead, the show reflects a realistic side of the professional world. In LJM's case, he has suffered the repercussions - he did not get the girl easily, he has gone through several humbling experiences and you can see the character growth in him.
As for SWR's slapping NM, again, it is realistic for anyone to lose their cool and end up in a physical reaction. I am not saying it is right, only that it does happen in real life. Again I don't think the show is promoting physical abuse. SWR lost NM immediately which I think is a repercussion of his behavior.
I like that the show: 1) provided closure for LJM with him finding his father's scrapbook collection of LJM's achievements and his father's comments. He still has regrets but at least there was some consolation. 2) have NM be the one breaking up with SWR, after she acknowledged that she had at least given the relationship a try but it was too tiring. 3) emphasizes woman empowerment and friendship - NM and YouQi being there for each other, YouQi trying to move on, Shi Ying being such an amazing boss and mentor, Xiao Yang knowing when to call NM about LJM.
Agree! I am watching it raw now but waiting eagerly for the subs so I can fully enjoy ☺️
Lol - you noticed Vill’s eyebrows as well! I like her a lot and she’s the main reason why I started watching this drama. She has such great chemistry with Ken, the ML and they look so good together! Even though I understand only half of the dialogue, just their acting alone is making the show enjoyable for me!
Hmmm....not happy with the writing but..yes so much is happening after that...
Thanks! I will watch everything from where I stopped so that I can get the complete story. My bad habit is terrible - I don't like to skip parts even if they are not interesting enough, so I end up with putting dramas on hold until I really have nothing else to watch :D

Yeah even the good looks of YY and ZLS were not enough to keep me going but if there is a lot happening, then I will keep on watching. After all, I did already invest time on 3/4 of the show. Thank you!
LOL - you may not have seen Thai dramas but for many of those, the couple gets together in the last 15 minutes…
Yeah I wondered about it when I first started watching Thai drama but have now gotten used to it. There are some excellent ones where the couple gets lots of romance screen time, and leave the audience very satisfied :D
It’s a slow burn filmmaking style in which the scenes develop slowly, as if in a real world. Some people may…
Well said. I know as the ML, LJM got a lot of hate and many felt that he didn't deserve NM. However, I really enjoy watching the progression of their relationship, from a relationship that was not balanced to one of friendship and finally acceptance of how important they mean to each other. The character growth for both characters is also well done and you can see the attitude changes for LJM, even when it comes to handling his dad. As for NM< she got criticized for being with Su Wei Ran but I feel that is pretty in line with her personality. Always optimistic, always willing to give it a try. Given her past affection for him, why not give the relationship a chance? I like the details you pointed out - the director's hints are subtle but nicely delivered.
in chinese drama, all episodes are shooted first then they undergo editing and after a period of time they get…
True, NM should not accept LJM so quickly although I have a feeling that she would have if she was not already in a relationship with Su Wei Ran . She already had feelings for LJM and that was in spite of how he treated her in the past. Anyway, having read the spoilers, we know the relationship with the SML is a plot device for the next phase of LJM's character growth :D
I like this drama. I like the ML/FL dynamics. Though a jerk, I like the ML :D
Me too! The redemption of a jerk ML is one of my favourite Dramaland tropes. I still like LJM because there is realistic character growth, and the pacing for it is good.

I agree, it is aggravating - I would rather have less angst with her being non-committal to both. Like you said, having the ML try his best to woo her without the complication of her being in a relationship would have been entertaining enough!

Like you, I would prefer to see more of her focused and thriving in her career but maybe the script writer that they needed to add some flavor in the other aspects of her life since some people may not want to watch too much of the business side. Actually, putting her in a relationship when she was not ready is also quite realistic because many people do get into that kind of situation. Either because they are pressured into it, not knowing how to say no, not wanting to hurt the other people's feelings, or they thought they should at least give it a try
I, 100% agree with you! Why can't we have more of these types of dramas than the usual stereotypical ones - I…
Yeah, hopefully they will read our comments and put them to good use for other shows. I think the show is doing well, in making it realistic and relatable. I like NM because her character is going through many of the experiences that most of us working folks are going through. I just wish that I had an awesome female boss like Shi Ying as a mentor!

Yes, that's true. I meant in general, the scriptwriters must have analyzed audience feedback from other shows and dramas, and understood that many of us want the ML to grovel and go through some proper character development and redemption before finally getting the FL. Overall, I like the story - it is very relatable, from the mean boss to the FL being in a relationship that she is not entirely comfortable with.

Overall, the rating should be much higher!
