The scene where Song confessed his feelings to xiao yang was so cute. "I promise to let you sit in my side passenger…
Oh yes, how could I leave that out??? The entire anniversary dinner party was so organic and everyone was so natural. It was so funny how everyone kept stealing LJM’s thunder 😂
Final episode was awesome! LJM and NM were so cute 🥰 Shi Ying’s BF was good looking! She’s my role model 👍 The entire anniversary dinner party was so organic and everyone was so happy and natural. It was so funny how everyone kept stealing LJM’s thunder 😂 I feel bad for SWR because I never truly disliked him in the first place. I'm glad that he got redemption and there’s hope in his future. Overall, I am satisfied with the ending for everyone! Wish there was a season 2!
I'm glad you liked it! Definitely give Go Ahead a try! It's that drama that really solidified me as her fan.
I did not know about Face Off. Going to check it out! I dropped The Fox's Summer because the actor playing the ML was so bad that I couldn't deal with it. I have Flight to You on my watch list!
I love Seven and Lin Geng Xin. Seven sold me in Under The Power. I became a fan to both leads in that show. Go…
I might try Sword and the Brocade again. I also like Wallace Chung but somehow I couldn’t get into that drama the first time. I’ll watch Go Ahead next since it came so highly recommended 😁 To Love sounds interesting so I’ll add it to my watch list! Thanks!
One more episode and this would be the first Seven Tan drama I completed! I’m impressed with the actors in this show - all played their parts very well and Seven & Lin Geng Xin proved their acting chops 👍
I dont think so they are promoting abusive behavior whether it is verbal or pyshical n there is no repercussions…
True, violence should never be the answer, but I also know that life is full of shades of gray, and not everything is clear cut. Humans are emotional beings and I myself have slapped someone out of a fit of anger. After slapping that person, I also calmly approached him to talk and apologize - and in my case I was a one time offender.
Had it been Ning Meng who slapped her best friend's husband because of his infidelity, would you insist that she gets reported to the police? We have seen plenty of dramas where the wives beat up the mistresses or husbands. In those cases, how many of us are cheering on the wives?
There are many situations when people react in ways that are not good but they are not horrible people.
Ultimately, I do agree that in SWR's case, NM was right to make a clean break and have no contact. I am still on the fence about lodging a police report because in the drama, the audience know SWR is the bad guy, and has emotional baggage. NM does not know that. She has not seen a pattern of bad behavior. So if I were to apply this drama situation to real life, I am still not sure if I would have reported what might have been a one time offense to the police.

I guess I am looking at my own experience when I have been so angry at someone that I have slapped him. But it was one time, and I know I am not a pyscho (at least I hope so LOL). So I should be grateful that that person did not report me to the police for an action that was done in a fit of anger.

Perhaps in this case, NM didn't feel like a victim and I didn't see her as a victim. She was shocked by the unexpected reaction but she showed no signs of fear and stood up for herself the whole time.
Again, not condoning any physical violence, would you expect the characters in dramas to report all the slaps they have gotten? How about when a woman slaps a man, or when a woman slaps a woman, so on and so forth? After all, we should emphasize gender equality as well.

I didn't say it is normal or acceptable. I said it is realistic and just because the show included it, does not mean the show is promoting abuse. Also, the female empowerment message is not lost for me just because NM did not report the slap to the police.

If you are referring to LJM's harsh words, always discouraging NM's ambition in the past, I don't think the show is promoting such behavior. Instead, the show reflects a realistic side of the professional world. In LJM's case, he has suffered the repercussions - he did not get the girl easily, he has gone through several humbling experiences and you can see the character growth in him.
As for SWR's slapping NM, again, it is realistic for anyone to lose their cool and end up in a physical reaction. I am not saying it is right, only that it does happen in real life. Again I don't think the show is promoting physical abuse. SWR lost NM immediately which I think is a repercussion of his behavior.
I like that the show: 1) provided closure for LJM with him finding his father's scrapbook collection of LJM's achievements and his father's comments. He still has regrets but at least there was some consolation. 2) have NM be the one breaking up with SWR, after she acknowledged that she had at least given the relationship a try but it was too tiring. 3) emphasizes woman empowerment and friendship - NM and YouQi being there for each other, YouQi trying to move on, Shi Ying being such an amazing boss and mentor, Xiao Yang knowing when to call NM about LJM.
Agree! I am watching it raw now but waiting eagerly for the subs so I can fully enjoy ☺️
Lol - you noticed Vill’s eyebrows as well! I like her a lot and she’s the main reason why I started watching this drama. She has such great chemistry with Ken, the ML and they look so good together! Even though I understand only half of the dialogue, just their acting alone is making the show enjoyable for me!
Hmmm....not happy with the writing but..yes so much is happening after that...
Thanks! I will watch everything from where I stopped so that I can get the complete story. My bad habit is terrible - I don't like to skip parts even if they are not interesting enough, so I end up with putting dramas on hold until I really have nothing else to watch :D

Yeah even the good looks of YY and ZLS were not enough to keep me going but if there is a lot happening, then I will keep on watching. After all, I did already invest time on 3/4 of the show. Thank you!

Overall, the rating should be much higher!
