Now that you mentioned it, it does make sense for the amnesia to set up the ending - you're brilliant! It's refreshing to watch "indie", sometimes the mainstream gets a bit much with the same old plots. No apology necessary, please keep the chat going any time :)

Oh gosh, season 2. The ending completely threw me off, I did not see that coming lol The twist was brilliant! I heard about Strangers from Hell, the k-drama but haven't gone round to watching it. Ok, I'll add that to my list to check out since it's on Netflix which I subscribe to. Evil Minds I'll scour for it, sounds interesting. Thanks for the rec and the spoiler updates!

This type of show and genre is very hard to come by, I'm really a fan. Oh yes, I LOVE Ancient Detective! I wish there were more of such dramas! I added some upcoming detective type dramas into my PTW, but they only come out in 2021 though, can't wait :D
Thank you for the insightful article and for sharing your views with the aim of creating awareness on this subject matter. I find it beneficial to have timely reminders for evaluating or just giving some thought to why we do what we do. Not just with reference to dramas but also in our lives the things we generally take for granted without even sparing a second thought for. For the individual, there's no definite right or wrong because everyone lives by different ethical standards, tolerance levels and life experiences. But it's good that you've got everyone thinking and talking about this.
This is one of those obscure short-lived dynasties that never got too much mainstream attention, which is a pity. I'm glad we're finally getting a proper drama that's based on it now.
I'm putting on hold 2 other airing historicals for this. This production is far superior, so far.
Wow that's fast. I'm watching too many concurrently that I'm running the risk of getting super confused with storylines that I had no choice but to put on hold some of them. I see that you are currently watching a few too.
Wow! I'm learning a lot about this historical figure. I can't believe I never heard of this before. Will need to do some research on this timeline. Thanks for enlightening me :)
Sometimes I don't mind and even wish for no historical romance, but instead just bromance /sismance. Too much of the same plot gets tiring. So far this show has great FLs which bodes well for the future.
Have not watched Ashes of Love but know enough about it to hold off. This drama makes me want to watch And the…
I've been thinking of watching that, and now that you've validated it, I'll defo give it a try. Thanks! The reason I couldn't finish And the Winner is Love was that the plot seriously lacked depth for me.

Great review and the heads up for what's to come :) I'm only on ep 6 (I didn't subscribe for Youku VIP access). This series is turning out to be quite compelling and enjoyable to watch.
This is pretty good. Hope I don't jinx it but so far probably the smartest FL in a historical drama that's currently airing. Aarif Rahman is great here too, he always brings such intensity to the roles he plays.

It's light, fluffy and a fun read :)
