Seeing the hate thrown at Yoo Rim, let me just say that Hee Doo is as immature and impulsive but some people are…
It's true they are both immature. Because well yes, they are still young. But sorry, you can't compare Hee Do's behavior to Yu Rim's. Yu Rim's situation is unfortunate but her behavior towards Hee Do is way out of that "being immature" thing. She was outright mean and horrible to Hee Do since the beginning, And I don't see any improvement in that. We're already half the drama and she's still a selfish, self-pitying brat. If there would be a tiny bit of development I wouldn't think like that, but she's not getting better and I know the development won't be natural at this point. I think Hee Do will forgive her pretty fast, because she still cares for Yu Rim as you can see at the swimming pool scene.
Well I can just agree with some folks here. I wasn't a fan of Go Yu Rim since the beginning, because she's just such a brat and always plays the victim card, but after today's episode... hate is confirmed. Not just because she was highly unprofessional and has no sportsmanship whatsoever, but because 7 episodes straight and there is still no character development in sight... not even a tiny little bit. I think nothing will make me like her at this point. A shame, because her character had a lot of potential and I loved her scenes with Moon Ji Woong, but now I can't to watch her being all nice to Ji Woong while I know she's such a two-faced b*tch. There are too less episodes left for her development to feel natural... so I know I won't like her til the end.
I'm loving everything about this drama so far EXCEPT for the actress who they cast to play Na Hee Do as an older…
My thoughts exactly!!! And it's not even the personality which annoys me, because of course, she can't be the same as her younger self twenty years ago... it's definitely the actress who's not doing it for me. She just doesn't live up to younger DoHee's aura. Not even that... I didn't like her in the first episode even before we saw the younger ones... Older's ones acting is unnatural, stiff and her voice is annoying and quite high-pitched... I really don't like to watch her scenes. There are soooo many great actresses in that age group... I think even Kim Tae Ri herself would have made a better older version of herself. I swear, she could've pulled that one. It's a shame, because I love Na Do Hee so much. And her older version just isn't doing it for me. I hope we don't see a lot of older version....
The older actress is a well known theatre/stage actress. I think she’s fine. It’s probably because were used…
Hmm okay, well she's not doing it for me yet. Maybe she has to be more than okay if she's the counterpart for an older version of an actress with a lot of aura. Not sure if I feel this way because we see the younger versions often because the older version also didn't get me in the first episode at the beginning... so I had no one to compare then...
Not trying to be Biased but KTR is currently the best actress in Korea in terms of acting. She is on another level!
This is the first time I a work of hers and I absolutely love her! I just always heard about her being great in Mr.Sunshine, so watching her in this drama now, I understand why people call her an amazing actress. Because she is incredible and has an amazing aura and presence. Love her *-*
“I always think only about what I’ve lost. But you think about what you can gain.” – Back yi jin This…
I absolutely love the dialogue. Especially in the 3rd episode where Hee Do takes the fencing distance as an analogy for keeping distance to people she likes... I cried while she said it like that T-T
Why is there no baek yi jin adult in the cast??😥hope its not what I'm thinking....
There is no adult cast for anyone except Na Hee Do, so I wouldn't jump to conclusion. And I need this drama to be happy ... for my mental health and probably for other's mental healths too T-T
Absolutely great 3rd episode!!! Omg! I love it sooo much! I'm so excited to be excited for a drama! FINALLY HAVING THAT FEELING AGAIN FOR A DRAMA WOOOHOOOO *-*
But I have something that kinda irritates me.... and that is the actress of older HeeDo... am I the only one who finds her acting really unnatural, stiff and kinda annoying. I don't know, but her voice is so high-pitched all the time and kinda doesn't feel natural at all... I don't like to watch the older HeeDo scenes... It's a big shame, because Kim Tae Ri is obviously an amazing actress. I've never seen a drama or movie with her, but read a lot about her being great in Mr.Sunshine. So now I agree because she is the highlight of every scene for me. She's so marvelous and even the smallest gestures are so natural. She just has that incredible presence, which I totally love and I'm not sure if I just don't like the older actress, because she doesn't have that kind of presence at all... or she really just can't act...
You know what’s sad? it’s Thyme trying to fit and understand her world because he love her that much. Even…
Tbh I was quite disappointed that she gave up that fast and had a change of mind... but I also understand her decision. I still don't feel that she likes Thyme the way he likes her. But I feel that Gorya's feelings for Thyme still didn't have a development in this version... I still feel like there is something missing for Gorya to be really in love with Thyme...
Seems like Gorya's brother is more in love with Thyme than she is. Love how Thyme built such a precious bond with Gorya's brother and cooks him food all the time *-*
I know I shouldn't have started this immediately after it started airing... I knew I would regret it cause I have to wait every week for new episodes... and I'm not just liking it... I LOVE IT! Ugh... Why can't I be patient and wait for dramas to be finished before starting it >_<
The second episode was so good and the leads chemistry is amazing! The ending of that episode was so beautiful and Hee Do is so beautiful and cheerful... I would have fallen for her too, because just look at her!! She's gorgeous and sweet!
I joined Viki in 2011 when it wasn't that big as it is now. I was also a translator for some Kdramas until I didn't…
No problem, I'm delighted that u take ur time to answer all the responses to your comment so respectfully :) I guess for me Viki isn't just a site to watch dramas or movies... It's different from Netflix, youtube etc. because it has that kind of community where everyone can contribute if they want. The translations, the segments, managing the drama sites, even commenting with time stamps on the episodes. It's a lot of fun if you're part of it. Nowadays it's kinda sad because a lot of people complain that they want the subs faster, so the fan translators feel rushed and maybe that even takes the fun out of it. But I guess a lot of people still have fun doing it. Because I know I had a really happy time back then as a translator and enjoyed it when people liked my translations and thank me for it.
I know that you're thankful to the fan translator and I understand your point of view. I also like to watch my dramas with subs as soon as possible. But if they hire translators, then you would have your subs on time, but the community would be gone... and then we just have another site like Netflix, Kocowa, Hulu etc.
I've just posted this on Viki. They absolutely won't approve it, so I'm posting it here. To say I'm pissed off,…
I joined Viki in 2011 when it wasn't that big as it is now. I was also a translator for some Kdramas until I didn't have the time anymore. As a translator you were given the free pass to watch all dramas even the ones limited in some countries. Not sure if that's still the case tho. That's how the translators were rewarded for subbing. Because back then it was kinda hard to get high quality access and subs to dramas. So the thing u complain about, that they don't hire or pay translators is weird, because the fan translations are actually the whole concept of Viki and how it started. Viki gave people a platform to make it really easy to translate and people made a big community out of it. And I had a hell lot of fun doing translations and being a part of that community.
Nowadays there is a lot of access to asian dramas and subs. So I guess that's why people complain, because there is competition which has faster subs... So they are used to that kind of speed now. I still remember when I had to wait a week or more for one episode of my fave dramas with subs. But the thing is... if Viki would hire translators, then the community there would be gone and Viki wouldn't be Viki. You would understand if u were one of the translators, segmenters or site managers there.
And if I may add... Viki's translations are mostly really good and accurate translations, so sometimes it's worth the wait.
But I have no sympathy for Yu Rim left...
There are too less episodes left for her development to feel natural... so I know I won't like her til the end.
