Just watched ep 1 and it was so so.... Not hooked, but I guess I'll watch some more, because it was just 30 minutes. Seems too less to make an opinion yet. But the characters feel like I've seen them a hundred times already... And I hope the name misunderstanding won't last long. So the ML is supposed to be a bully? Doesn't really seem like it. He even brought her wallet to the lost and found. He seems to be like every kinda cold and FL-teasing drama ML out there. I really hoped to see a bad boy and was curious about his character development... well too bad.
I did like "Lovely Us" and "Let's Meet now" of the same director, but the writer is more important. Haven't seen anything of Zhu Yi yet...

By the end of every episode I question everything that I thought I figured out... Still have no clue who could be the murderer or his mom. Really thought it was the Tea House owner but now I'm not so sure anymore. And she is kinda suspicious.... I don't think she's the murderer but why do I feel that she is from the future as well. She tried weirdly hard to befriend Hae Joon and get close to him, but I don't know why... Oh man... got no clue 😂
But all the talk about "even family should be punished for their crimes" with the detective sounded so foreshadowing to me.... And Hae Joon's father is a bit weird and mysterious. Also when the murderer run away he looked so much like him, but I sincerely hope that he is not the murderer!!! >_> Then ML will vanish and not exist at all....and that would be so sad, because he came to the past to save his future self but then actually prevents that and will not even exist in the first place? 😭 tbh this would be a cool ending, but a really sad one and sadistic of the writers 😅
I still hope the murderer is also not from this timeline, but from the future. Maybe it could also be an already known character who is cleared of suspicion, but his future self came to the past to kill and his current self in 1987 is not a murderer yet.
This drama is still keeping me on edge and I hope the revelation is gonna be good as well :D

There was a 2015 drama called Twenty Again that did a similar story much better in my opinion
Twenty Again was so good! I thought Dr. Cha would be similar, but they made the cheating issue a whole joke with lots of funny music and exaggerating acting. Twenty Again was so wholesome in comparison :)

The episode when her children found out about their cheating father and the whole family decided to deceive the mother. RED FLAG! The whole family! And the writers covered it with funny music, exaggerating acting and whole lot of comedy :') I knew they were gonna take this serious topic as a comedy trope and it didn't sit right with me, so I put it on hold to see if they're gonna stay that path and well... they did.
I really hope for the ML that Go Mi Sook is not his mother... even if she isn't a murderer, she's still a psycho and a thief. I think his mother is the owner of the tea shop, because I doubt that his genius adult father would date a high school girl. Even tho I kinda thought Hae Kyung could be also his mother, but she was one of the victims, so can't be her as well. And it seems she has a crush on Mi Sook? Or it was just wishful thinking of Mi Sook and her delusional writing. Also there are still two other girls with the same hairband... but they were not shown in the cinema scene. The show really knows how to hold us captive without us getting bored. We still don't know who the murderer is nor who his mother is XD But I'm still hooked and I love that they are slowly revealing our main leads feelings for each other.
How is it that I find AHS so amazing in this drama(S2 & S3 both) but mediocre in that nonsense “Business Proposal”???…
I guess Business Proposal was just not your cup of tea. Didn't have anything to do with AHS or his acting. He was good in Business Proposal as well, but he sure improved tho! :) He can show more range of emotions in Dr Romantic which is awesome.
The torturing scene with Baek Hee Seop was really hard to watch... Poor guy... such a traumatic past. No wonder he became an alcoholic. How to live with such loss, suffering and agony? I don't excuse his behaviour towards his family in the future but he sure didn't have an easy life...
The preview!!! Now we're getting to ML's family and past... And seems like he didn't how who his mother was... don't know if the preview is misleading us, but if his mother is Go Mi Sook... wow! Never seen this coming... All main suspects are now cleared and I do believe the murderer is a woman. If it's Go Mi Sook... did she kill him in the future? I'm really curious where this is going. We are just half way through the drama... Anything can happen! So good! This drama deserves more hype!
Put this on hold 2 weeks ago... and according to recent comments it seemed this drama really has taken the route I've feared of. sigh... another drama I have to drop this year. Such a shame... I really liked it at first :/
I get how a lot of people don't like Jang Dong Hwa. He is quite annoying and a brat... but I must say he is a pretty realistic character. All the other Doldam characters are quite unrealistic "heroes" and highly passionate about their profession so that nothing else in their lives seem to matter. Their profession is their life! They seem to have no hobbies aside their job and they have inhumanely endurance, stamina and mental strength.
Jang Dong Hwa seems more "human" in that aspect. Aside from his rudeness, I totally get where he is coming from. He wants to have a life outside of that hospital. He wants a calmer and not as stressful life and I think everyone has the right to decide what they want from life. But it seems the Doldam people are slowly turning him into one of theirs 😂 The scene with him and Kim Sabu was hilarious! I love their dynamics a lot and I have to say, I enjoy Jang Dong Hwa's antics now.
The last two episodes were a disappointment. I really loved the main couple and they got like almost no screen time and such a bad written reason why they dragged their HE... and after they got together they were so cringe... Nothing what they were like before. Such a shame.
All other couples were kinda boring and lame to me til the end... No chemistry whatsoever with the other 3 couples. This drama or at least the main couple had really potential to be good... Well, still enjoyed it but can't really recommend it now.
