No lie I would have went back for that sword even though many people were killed by it. Now, I finally understood what Dylan Wang said about the ending remember to protect your hearts when watching. My little heart wasn’t protected it’s empty but content. I knew they were going to end somewhat like this. Just realized the special ending was in a trailer I saw…was wondering where that scene was from
Sad this drama is ending. Idc what others say this is a great drama not the best but it’s pretty damn good. The ratings and reviews doesn’t determine whether a drama is good for you to watch or not. People have different preferences in dramas. For me, I like how the main leads are smart and always a step ahead on everything. And also you’ll never find a female lead like Bu Yin Lou at all in historical dramas. She’s really one of a kind. I love her. They always find a way out. I love how XD’s men have his back and is always there for him. The unconditional trust and respect he has built with them is admiring. They will serve him until the end.
Either way this drama is on top of my list. I’ve seen plenty of Cdramas and this hit the spot for me. The fighting was really great it looked believable and not too fake. Dylan Wang knows how to wield a sword well he looks so badass, and I love it (I think that’s what attracted me to this drama and I’m not even his fan). What I’m trying to say is an actor can hold a sword and swing it around but it won’t always turn out great. It’s like you have to know how to own the weapon to use it and Dylan Wang portrayed it well. Denghuo really matches with its owner. I’m glad they didn’t fly around slowly with many takes (I hate that) showing every angle. I like fast pace fighting with believable moves and flying. I miss the Chinese historical drama back in the 80s to early 2000s they were the best at fighting scenes. By the way I’ve seen Peter Ho’s (the emperor in here) drama as a child. Where he plays Bu Jing Ying (I believe that’s how you spell it) it’s call wind and cloud it was pretty good. I was a child back then so it must have looked badass to me lmao. Nowadays, they just look terribly fake. The only dramas I’ve seen so far that has great fighting is this drama and Evernight (with Chen Fei Yu) haven’t seen Evernight 2 with Dylan Wang ( sorry dude I like Chen fei Yu’s fighting more lol) but nonetheless, Dylan Wang did great in that second season I’ve seen clips of his fighting.
Anyways I should stop rambling, and I hope my comment helps those who want to watch or is iffy on watching this drama. Remember, a drama will only be great in your eyes and your eyes only, not every drama will please everyone expectation. If you don’t try it, you’ll never know if you like it.
This drama actually makes my heart ache recent episodes have really hurt my heart lol I’ll do what Dylan Wang said to protect my heart during the ending while keeping Yukee Chen’s ending like it has a part two in mind
They released the kiss bts cut from ep 29 as well. That one was longer and hotter 😆 I’m saddened for all…
I know I saw the comments. Lol little did they know it was all cut. I like how the one from episode 29 was longer but zoomed out lmao if it’s up close it’s less than a minute up close is about a minute 😂 they playing with us.

Exactly! I concur. I honestly hope there’s a directors cut or release the full version on Netflix. Ugh it just saddening such a waste to not show it all. This would have been a hit
