This drama is tame compared to Scum's Wish (which I ONLY watched for the gorgeous ML) which was a major train…
I watched Kuzu no Honkai anime format and liked its toxicity lol. They were just so awful lol. Not confident to try the live action. The cringe will be too much to bear knowing jdramas.

A story about someone breaking free from a toxic relationship (of any kind) isn’t a romance even if the genre…
you hit many nails on the head with this one. Indeed it was too offputting for me. If i stuck it out and they wind up together it would be dangerous for my mental health. I decided to not find out as I am already too disgusted from the first 15 minutes. Naaaaa! I agree. the reason I still opt for East Asian shows is that it isn't tumultous with pointless things like Western shows. However, I am starting to realise I may still chose a Western show over Jdramas in general. J dramas are cringe and still totally out of left field. I would at least prefer, heart, drama, passion, brilliant acting like in that deranged show 'You' that I watched all its seasons even though i never rewatch cos it is tooooooo awful but you get my point. Jdramas have nothing going for them for me. Strange off-putting acting, strange looking dead looking faces, exaggerated anime type behaviours that are awkward, then the story itself is also disgusting and the endless mental dialouges....i give up for the third time on jdramas lol. I'll stick to kdramas, cdrama, and tdramas. Taiwan dramas are also very good too.

The premise just doesn't feel worth the trouble.
On If Only You Weren't the One 20 days ago
This one is disgusting. This is not the type of toxic that makes moral sense. These characters were trash 10 years ago, and when we meet them a decade later, they remained trash. I dropped it. It is fine to get back with an ex but these two are trying too hard to be disgusting. I swore off Jdramas already. Not sure why I even clicked this (sigh). There is something terribly off-putting about the male leads in jdramas particularly. Not sure what it is. The strange anime hairstyles, the awkwards facial expressions, the weird gait, mannerisms, it is even worse than the strang FL fumblings for me (FLs are gradually being casted differently). THIS ONE IS NOT RECOMMENDED. If you see my list you know I love toxic but not quite sure what the writer was struggling with morally for this one.

I'm finding it hard to verbalize the watching experience. Awkward? Maybe. Angry? No that's not it. Someone down…
I dropped. It is too erksome. The negative feeling just builds. I dropped midway through episode 1. I can't comprehend how 2 characters were trash 10 years ago and still individually and mutually trash 10 years later. No growth, no moral bone, nothing. It is totally fine to get back with an ex and we like toxic pairs but not sure what kick the writer gets out of selling the we are cheaters and we love it mentality.
On A Graceful Liar Feb 20, 2026
This wasn't bad. I like when character motives are understandable. FL wasn't a saint and her lack of all round innocence put a softer light on everyone else. FL has played quite a complex role here where she isn't a great person but we can't look away from the disaster either (similar to the ML Haneul). I watched episodically till the hallway point and only then started skipping. This was done quite well I would say for a family drama. The only issue with family dramas is that they all seem to have to use the same fomula. This fomula is what makes even the shiniest dramas become tiring along the way. Other than that, this was mostly well done. SFL, FL, even SML (which i thought was typecast) had real acting chops in this one. I also appreciated that they took their sweet time to take us to the 'company' and office semantics lol. We saw other places, spaces, drama, ideas outside of 'the company' lol...At the end of the day, a lie whether black, red, grey, or white are all just lies and liars go to hell πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. No such thing as gracefully lying. This was a fun few days. Worth a future rewatch.

I legit can't remember her having any becoming human segment in the manhwa (i did rush through it though so may have missed that). She seemed a bit worse in the manhwa to me lol. She pretty much r*pes Jun Seo for child fraud. to pretend the child is her husband's child. The director for the kdrama spares us some of these rather troubling details πŸ˜‚
On Taxi Driver Season 3 Jan 10, 2026
Taxi driver is always a fun ride! Loved this season just as much!
Lee Je Hoon is The glue, the guy, the genius, The all rounder! He truly is excellent. I can't imagine anyone even with similar set of skills play this role well enough. Action, nuance, emotion, caricature, serious, skillful, multilingual, driving, playing totally different characters to scam others while still remaining Kim Do Gi that the audience knows is within....Honestly genius. I was impressed with Kim You Jung's performance in Dear X set up. I am almost doubly impressed by Lee Je Joon in Taxi Driver setting.

Weak ending for this season. Overall weak compared to previous seasons. So now taxi driver is going to be like…
The format genuinely works out of all kdramas. It is very interesting, the crew is kept the same, and the cases are well put together and realistic enough. They do not rush through each arc neither are the arcs too slow paced. If any show should have an American show run, I believe Taxi driver can and should. However, they should space it out like 3 years later before TD4.

True. Jae O was like a glue keeping sanity somehow together and Jun Seo is the weird toxic fixture for Ah Jin. Any new characters may not be able to achieve this. The only good thing for season 2 would be that we likely get to see the vengeance against her husband. Still, he is just a psycho. He actually isn't that interesting. He is Ah Jin's deserved karma.

I 100% agree lol.. She should have died. I was so ready for her to just let the world rest from the horror that is her. However, if you survived such an orchestrated murder attempt totally fine, by the person apparently closest to you, you would likely find it funny too like she did laughing her head off at the end lol. Jun Seo literally set out to kill her. He tried to play God. If there is another season, I would watch it just to see how she dies but she didn't die in the Manhwa either πŸ˜‚ the girl is a problem even to death.

That is the point. He enabled her but could not help or save her. She is impossible to save as are most unrepentant…
I honestly thought so at some point. I was like this one cannot be saved by any normal person at all. Someone did give her a therapists number at the start which she went to give to her dead mom at the colambarium πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ She is a menace lol

Are there anyone who knows webtoon ending???Can you explain???
In the Webtoon she basically rapes Jun Seo to get a child to pretend it is her husbands (glad the show takes that out lol). She then gets pregnant and when Jun Seo reveals all her dirty secrets she punishes him by disappearing with their baby which is in fact the worst punishment for Jun Seo her all time accomplice. In the last part, she makes the child go for his signing and drops a letter with him. he soon realises that was his child he had just spoken to. The girl is twisted in the show and worse in the Manhwa. Not sure how people expected any good ending lol

That is the point though. Ah Jin has the survival of a weed or cockroach. She cannot be defeated. She is a problem and a menace.

So Jae Oh dying and Jun Seo threatening Do Hyeok was for nothing...? lol If Jun Seo was planning to die anyways,…
I believe in the show and manhwa, the author's focus was never Do Hyeok. It was always about Baek Ah Jin. She basically reaps the fruits of her many terrible labours with the materialising of Do Hyeok a psychopath fit for her. She is not a normal female lead remember? She actually does not deserve a good ending where everyone that deserves revenge gets it. She herself has not gotten the cold dish of revenge she truly deserves but gets away through manipulation and luck just to go hurt and destroy more people's lives. Do you get the idea? She deserve the guy. I felt satisfied by that as my focus from start to finish was Baek Ah Jin. What do you think?

That is the point. He enabled her but could not help or save her. She is impossible to save as are most unrepentant sociopaths/psychopaths. She can't be saved so the ending is appropriate. She isn't normal so no one around her can have a normal ending including her.
