I thought we've had enough of her. Trying hard to be mother of the year after all the cruelty she did to her own…
Me too - I’m looking forward to CSS getting some motherly love. I rewatched the ep 6 clip regarding the desk incident on YouTube and it brought tears to my eyes how CSS’s mother treated her. This mother is clueless and is being cruel. CSS knew if she didn’t call her mother’s blatant favoritism out, she would forever be bullied by even the servants. So glad third aunt stepped in and is kind to CSS. Another episode is when CSS offered buttermilk to Aunt Ge and her mother thought she did it to steal Cheng Yang’s thunder. Even I knew before CSS explained that she just appreciated what Aunt Ge said. CSS’s mother is always thinking the worst of her daughter. So sad.

In my opinion, she wanted revenge. She wanted to see the enemy killed so she was not disappointed to see LBY with a sword. Maybe she was surprised he was in front of her so quickly but I think it was not disappointment. Or she might be a bit regretful he found her out since he didn’t want her to see the execution n the first place.

I agree but YY doesn't though. The mother is willing to give good things to SS and to YY but in terms of punishments…
I think the mother just don’t see or did not appreciate the good points in her daughter. She just saw the conniving part and was annoyed by it. She was way harsh. She wanted css to be like YY. She was incensed when her daughter questioned her decisions. The fact that she did not take into account how much her daughter suffered in the 15 years while they were gone is unexcusable though. And she knew she was being biased in showering attention on YY but did it deliberately to probably show CSS what she values. She just didn’t care about CSS’s feelings. She did care for CSS but at all cost, she wants CSS to fit her notion of what a good daughter should be. She did not even question why her daughter had not written to her in 15 years. If she did, perhaps she would have known how badly she was treated and that she was illiterate. She didn’t even bat an eye when she found out more than once how css was starved. And she knew what her mother in law and 2hd aunt Ge is like but have no qualms about leaving her infant daughter behind with them. Even dad tried to compensate by being good to daughter. Perhaps she saw too much of herself in her daughter.

ADOS was great until it wasn’t. The first half was wonderful but the second half was draggy and cliched in all…
I agree with you that the 2 stories are different. I think this has more dramatic events and hence is more exciting. ADOS was good but more slice of life drama and dragged a bit. I have been looking forward to this drama for a while. So happy it’s now airing and meeting my expectations. There was a time when it was said to air in the fall. Glad I didn’t have to wait that long.

Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
Right? I didn't mind the ending but some seem to really hate it lol. Honestly it was the ending I was expecting.
I was hoping Han Pu was the stand in for Juiwei who, in the novel saved HFX with his medical skills. Not happy they killed off Han Pu. So what happened to his family’s book of prescriptions that Father Han gave BFX? She can use it to make the elixir to extend HFX’s life

Seems like lots of FLX's action scenes in last a few episodes were cut off for no reason. Anyway, the producer…
Oh dear! I love this drama but not King of Avatar though I like his love O2O. To each it’s own

Depends how you view it but I see it has a happy ending.
I learned from Cloud A that in the Wuxia world, one can get back their inner strength so there is hope that HFX can live longer and they really should look for the Han book of prescriptions. They have this elixir that saves lives. So there’s hope.

Lanxi saves Xiyun, so he can live only 10 years. BFX, HFX and HC fought and killed YWY. Later Lanxi and Xiyun…
In the novel, The BFX’ s friend , Juiwei ( character not in drama, saved HFX. HFX has to drink medicine daily. He left for Jianghu with FBX and 50 carriages of his things - several carriages of gold, silver, 30 carriages of stuff for daily use - books, utensils, antiques etc. He is after all very wealthy and like the finer things in life ( remember him enjoying tea during the royal hunt? 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Depends on how you view it, but I would say it’s bittersweet.
If they can find the Han family medical book of prescriptions, he can be cured. I thought Han Pu would be the one to cure HFX but unfortunately, they killed him off. Ugh😢

Can anyone who read the novel please tell me who the villain was in the novel since the Yu guy apparently wasn't…
In the novel, it was Huang Chao who used all his strength to shoot BFX with his bow and arrow when she had used up all her strength to destroy one of his bases. She was fatally wounded but as in the drama, HFX saved her. He had only 1 month to live but there was another character, a very good friend of BFX called Juiwei with medical skills and he saved HFX.

If you really, really want to know, it’s related to BFX’s injuries.
I was responding to the white hair 😁. I finally was able to view the 2nd photo. I I’m not sure who that is. Thought it was HC but not sure because he is bowing to FLx.

Sincere review coming in a few hours! 5/16/22 11:04 pm REVIEW here8 stars out 10 and only because it was a good…
I watch a lot of dramas and I have a few that I consider really good in that I look forward to the next episode and the next and it’s got to be entertaining. Some dramas I watch but pause for a while and then go back to finish if I have nothing better to do. Some I don’t even finish. I only review the ones I like (8 and above) and only if I have the time and after I finish watching all episodes. I give a general overview of why I like it and a brief summary of the drama. I don’t have the energy to do a critical review and my time availability fluctuates. My hat’s off to those who do the critical reviews as they do take time and effort. That’s why I like this forum too because there are differing viewpoints, insights, nuances that I missed and really funny comments.

The genre I like is quite narrow so many times, if the summary of the plot is iffy to me, I will read reviews to determine if I should spend the time to watch or not.

For me, the drama is either on my top list of dramas or it’s not and it’s not based on favorite actors. I have watched some drama featuring my favorites and they were duds. If the plot is so so and the leads are not good looking, they get nixed 🤣
