Oh my goodness where did that come from? Ugh ugh ugh. No to FQW and HFX. HFX will be a polygamist and BFX won’t…
In the novel, BFX ‘s mother died of depression because her father took on concubines to beget a male heir. He never got a male heir and caused his wife to be estranged from him. BFX’s brother in the novel is actually a male cousin but died when he was 17 and BFX 15 making her the queen when her father dies. So a big no no to HFX taking on a concubine. And he knows how BFX feels and so did HC .
Id totally be fine with FQW being a princess consort/ concubine of Lanxi and Xiyun🤣 I just love their chemistry…
Oh my goodness where did that come from? Ugh ugh ugh. No to FQW and HFX. HFX will be a polygamist and BFX won’t stand for it. You must like FQW’s character much more than BFX?
Hi. Can someone let me know when this show will end. I want to binge it after it finishes. I saw a tweet saying…
If you watch on Netflix, it’ll end May 26. I believe most free platforms will end tomorrow, May 17. I’m watching it on duboku.tv with no English subs but it ends tomorrow, May 17
Ep 36 is such a sugar hit, diabetes alert! The wedding was so perfect, I've been rewatching that part non-stop.…
ZLS looks so beautiful in her wedding finery. She looks beautiful with that wedding crow. You’d think it would be gaudy but no. I Ty’s gorgeous on her.
I believe i may be one of the few that thoroughly enjoyed the drama more than the novel. I can understsnd the…
I enjoyed the drama more too. In the drama, Feng Xiwu and Prince FC’s characters are so likeable. In the novel, the former is a weak singer that follows HFX and the latter does not even appear because FLX’s half brothers are all trying to kill him for the throne.
What I love about this drama is that the FL is not a damsel in distress and both leads have equal status. She’s…
“A girl like Me ‘ - one of my all time favorites.FL is beautiful, outspoken, jilted twice( so has undeserved bad reputation) and very strong throughout ; ML is very handsome, genteel, scholarly, a big catch. It’s a historical romantic comedy with fighting, drama, political intrigue with beautiful costumes and cinematography.
I heard in the novels the FL and ML know their real identities already, but in the show it seems like they don't…
Spoiler: In the drama, BFX learned HFX’s identity several episodes in. However, the audience is left wondering if HFX knew BFX’s identity. Then in Ep 35, he let on that he knew and she is not surprised. After all, HFX has a great spy network. In the novel, the reader is also not real sure he knew her identity and it was a similar scene where it was confirmed he knew though they had never discussed it until she was going home to Gingzhou
Did Lanxi's brother ever found out that the girl he tried to kill is the one his brother like?
He should know because he was in the house next to hers when he saw his brother kicking the ball. That was when he realized FLX had lied to him about his health.
Ikr….. I feel robbed. I feel like a lot of other ppl must feel the same way; at least the ppl on the message…
Apparently, in the novel, they always knew of each other‘’s secret identity but they never asked each other or talked about it.. The novel was kinda grey in disclosing it. I had to ask the novel expert [CloudA- you can see her responses- her forum is above this one) and it took her a while to explain. But this issue is similar in both the novel and the drama where it didn’t come to a head until BFX said she was going to Qingzhou and in the novel, HFX said he was also going to Gingzhou to marry the princess and that’s when BFX asked “how much do you know”? Answer was - “as much as you”. It was explained to me that they knew each other’s identity early on, never discussed it, and maybe BFX didn’t want to face it. After that, the 2 didn’t have much to say about it and went to Qingzhou.
So his jealous reaction when he first met her brother was for show. He wanted her brother to like him, to show much he cared about BFX. But I agree, since the drama doesn’t always follow the novel, they should have expanded on the reveal part more. I would have liked that.
